After answering a large ad in the Standard Examiner for Phonak brand hearing aids, my wife met with…read morea sales representative, January 6, 2022. The ad was for Phonak and no other brands. After a brief "hearing evaluation", Summer told my wife that she carried the "Resound" brand which was better than Phonak. She then presented my wife with a "Resound". I asked about insurance and was told that "insurance only pays for low end aids that are not suitable for my wife. With the assurance that if my wife found the purchase unsatisfactory we would be get our money back, we made a payment of $4990 and signed the patient agreement. An appointment for a fitting was made for 17 January 2022. In the meantime I checked with our insurance and found that in fact insurance will pay a substantial portion of a high end hearing aid purchase. At the fitting I asked Summer why, when we were interested in a Phonak, we were switched to a Resound. She told us she made that decision based upon my wife's needs. I felt like, in fact, we had been a victim of a "bait and switch". Having committed by contract, my wife made a good faith trial of the hearing aid. She found them unsatisfactory. We were presented with the option of being refitted and initiating a new 30 day trial. At this point, we lost interest in further dealings with the company. Per instructions in the Patient Agreement, we returned the aids to their office on 1 February 2022 with a written letter. We inquired about a refund and were told that by Utah Law the company could wait 30 days before refunding our money. It is now the 15th day of March and no refund. I have made several calls to the office. I have asked to speak to the boss or someone in authority and have been completely stone walled. I have been told twice "the check is in the mail" No Check.

Service is very warm and friendly and Jesse has been in the business for years and he really knows his stuff. He is really good with emergency situations too...like when your hearing aid goes through the washer and dryer!! He gets them fixed really fast. He has these really cool lapel microphones so you can hear your soft voiced friends too and the sound goes right to the hearing aids. The phone goes right to the hearing aids too and this is VERY helpful indeed!! Over all this is a great place. Its not a cold clinical setting but a more friendly place where they treat you like a good friend or neighbor. There's no pushy sales, just really good service and good humor too!!
