Al went well. I had one aid that would not take or hold a charge. It was under it still under my warranty and the unit was replaced. Thanks

That's probably mostly because it's a pain in the ass to find a new family physician though... As a teenager, I had frequent bouts of strep throat, but never the kind that was detected by the rapid swab tests. Even though this became apparent rather quickly, I can't tell you the number of times I had to make numerous trips to Dr. Farber's office when my rapid tests would come back negative and he would tell me it wasn't strep, yet a few days later, the symptoms persisted. I will give their office props for one thing, though: Shortly after I graduated college and was unemployed with no health insurance, I broke my foot. Since I was an established patient at the office, they worked with me to charge me a minimal amount for my visit and they also worked out a deal with the imaging center where I had my x-ray. I was so grateful not to have to worry about being able to afford getting care for my foot and they took excellent care of me. So, while he might not be the sharpest crayon in the medical box, Dr. Farber is a great guy, and he does look out for his patients.

If I could give zero stars I would. My youngest daughter experienced one of the worst medical…read moreexperiences in the ER today. As parents that live out of state, we are baffled by the lack of care that she received. She sat in the waiting room , after being taken back to get her vitals, and have a port put in her arm for dehydration, for 2 hours with severe vomitting and diarrhea symptoms. I assume the port was put in during her initial check knowing that fluids and anti nausea meds were needed. To say she was visibly upset during her hours spent waiting, is a complete understatement. I had multiple conversations with her during that time, and between the exhaustion of 12 plus hours of no sleep because of the symptoms, and the lack of any kind of knowledge of what was coming, she was beyond consolation. My older daughter that had dropped her off initially (that has 2 kids under 3 so she couldn't stay with herj , went back to see her sister sittting in the ER room with a port in her arm and a bag of vomit on her lap, as weak as could be. She demanded that her sister either be seen immediately, or that they needed to take the port out so she could take her to a different facility. One of the front desk nurses actually listened to her, and they were told that she would be the next patient taken back and that a "floating doctor" would see her asap, as all of the ER doctors were extremely busy. Said doctor arrived, and the meds were ordered. Pretty quickly, she was hooked up to an IV with fluids and anti nausea meds only to be told as the meds were being administered that she would have to sit in the waiting room with the IV for what would assumably be hours for the IV to be administered. I was actually on the phone with my daughters as the oldest one tried to advocate for her sick sister to find out if there was even just a chair that she could sit on someplace so that she wasn't out in the waiting room with the general population, only to be met with a resounding no. I could hear my youngest daughter sobbing out of stress, sickness, and exhaustion, They were told that if an open bed became available, she was eligible and what my daughter asked if her sister would get the first open bed, she was told no. My oldest daughter than told the person who was "caring" for her sister to take the IV out, during which time she was vomittng, and blood from the removal of the IV was all over her pants. The lack of empathy, the complete disregard for any dignity for my daughter, is beyond unacceptable. It is completely understood that the ER was extremely busy, we knew that was going or be the case with her going in. What we didn't know was the lack of integrity within this establishment

She always seems distracted, and our conversations feel, I dunno, forced? Kind of hard to describe. Maybe she's not a "people person". The medical assistants pretty much mirror the doctor. The lab technician is a somewhat crusty older lady, very skilled, but a bit jaded. Anyway, I enjoy interacting with the office staff. There have been several things that have caused me to lose the warm and fuzzies toward her and her practice but here are the final two straws. I had gone in for a physical bc that was the only way she would prescribe a sleep aide and I could understand that. Anyway she gave me a prescription to try and said if it didn't work call her and she would call in something new. I didn't use it every day so it was 6 weeks and 2 days later when I called back. I was informed that bc it had been over 6 weeks I would have to come in for another $50 plus appointment. I'm out of town with a very painful UTI I know this bc I have taken an over the counter test to confirm. When I called the office to ask for a prescription I was told she won't do that bc I'm out of state!!!! Hell will freeze over before she would phone something in for you. These are only two of many frustrations I've had over the years. It is my feeling that she cares less about her patients and more about their copay. Do yourself a favor and find someone else!!!!

The receptionist asked my daughter to wear a mask when she learned we were there for illness (imagine that, visiting urgent care when you're sick). I told her no, we do not wear masks. She gave a short speech about germs, etc, and that was that. Proceeded with registration, paid $135 and waited about 25-30 mins. Go to the extremely tiny exam room, vitals are taken and then the nurse asked us both to put masks on. I told her no, we do not wear masks. She said that "this particular provider" was very adamant that all patients wear masks. I told her no, that we would take a refund and go to our usual doctor tomorrow. She led us to a bigger exam room and said she would check and see if he would see us. We waited another 5 minutes before being told he would not see us. They did refund immediately. I can't speak to the level of care, since we were denied being seen, but it's ridiculous to expect a child to block her airway when she is already suffering from some sort of respiratory infection. After all we know about the ineffectiveness of masks, it is astounding that anyone is still subscribing to this nonsense. At the very least, I should have been told after my initial mask refusal that the doctor would not see us- did they think we would be bullied into masking? Ridiculous waste of time.

When I got it the second time, because I felt my throat started feeling sore like the first time and thought to go to see Linker, as I thought it would be cheaper to go to him and he would do a swab test like they did. It should have been simple, but Linker was being stubborn and said I was fine and noticed anything wrong, even though I tried to tell him how I got it the first time and it felt how it started the last time. The man just huffed at me, walked fast out of the room and finally came back with the swab test. And you know what? He ate his own words and I was right and finally got my prescription and started taking better precautions about catching strep. Bottom line: my parents seem to like him, but to me he's not a good doctor at all to me: he has an ego, gives generic advice, and doesn't give proper help for much of anything. Plus his bedside manner is pretty bad. I wait so long to see him, and then he talks to you and it's over in five minutes! Even recently when I was walking out the door, I tried to talk to him about some sore muscles, but he just nods his head and then says goodbye. Seriously, I need to find a different doctor.
