We are customers of both the Healthy Pet locations. While the location in the Polo shops never cease to amaze us, I can't say the same for this location. I used to bring our dog frequently to be boarded while out of town. The old boarding staff was the best, always sending pictures and cute messages as if they were from our dog himself. The last 3x however totally different ballgame. Our dog has come home incredibly dehydrated, food still left in his bag that wasn't eaten (which I wasn't informed until pick up time), eyes filled with yellow gunk, food bowl sent back home absolutely disgusting with food caked on, being rushed off the phone when I call to check on him, the list goes on and on. I've spoken to the manager the last two visits, first visit she was apologetic and offered a 20% off the next stay (does that make it right? No, but ok at least they took responsibility). Now the second time around when my dog was left this past weekend she's basically insinuating to myself and my boyfriend that we are twisting a story her own staff told us. I specifically did not pack our dog breakfast for Monday morning because I intended to pick him up early before work and feed him at home (which I've done multiple times). To our surprise when our dog is picked up, they tell us he didn't completely finish his food during his stay so they pooled together the remaining food and gave it to him (keep in mind our dog never leaves food behind). Later when I speak to the manager she tells me he had an extra portion of food in his bag and that's what he was given for breakfast. Remember how I didn't pack him food on purpose? Still wondering where that bag came from because I know it wasn't me, but no problem I'll stick to the Polo shops location going forward. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Bull at a veterinary hospital in Lecanto, Fl. He is a "visiting angel" for this location. My kitty was hurting (bad teeth) and Dr. Bull knew just what to do to help her. Although I had to go to another location to get her teeth fixed, it was not Dr. Bull's fault. The location is super busy, and surgery is backed up. I love dealing with people who love what they do for a living. Dr. Bull is this kind of vet. I wish he could have done her dental work. North Boca Animal Hospital is by far the most wonderful veterinarian office that I've ever been to. After months of being repeatedly exploited by other vets. North of Boca animal hospital saved my cat slinky's life by taking the extra care he needs to keep him from needing another extensive surgery. This area and I needed to find a new vet I happen to walk into his office as it's very close to my house he was at the front desk he was extremely friendly I told him why I was there he asked me what type of animals I had and told me I could come in and sit down and talk to it with him at any time. I brought both my dogs and for a well check the doctor explained everything to me regarding my pet's health. The staff the front desk is also extremely helpful and very nice. Not one to typically come on and write reviews but this place is amazing. From their great attitudes to the way they actually take into consideration how stressful sometimes it can be to have a pet be sick. They go above and beyond to take care of you and make you feel comfortable. I'm moving to Miami and I think that I'll make the trip just to come to them because they're that good. Dr. Bull will not charge you for every tiny little thing and is so considerate about doing what's necessary for your animal instead of ripping you off. He breaks down what's going on with your pet so you can understand everything and makes sure that you're comfortable when you leave. I highly recommend Dr. Bull and his team. He is professional and is very accommodating. I have been taking my animals to Dr. Bull for the last couple of years, and have never been disappointed. He can always identify what my dogs are feeling and is very knowledgable with medication and treatment. A couple of years ago, Dr. Bull and the Boca North Staff saved my dogs life. I have nothing but love and respect for these individuals. My black lab, Willie, had eaten random objects around the house and a mass built up in his stomach/intestines. I am ever grateful and will never forget the exceptional care provided my senior Pug, Olivia in the aftermath of Irma. Dr. Bull excepted my sweet girl suffering from extreme heat due to the loss of electric. After the 4th day with the lack of electric in the Boca area, Olivia was in extreme distress and in need of a cooler environment. Olivia suffers from heart failure and is on medication in addition to her difficult breathing due to her Pug features. Without electric and phone services in much of the area, there was some difficulty in finding a pet hospital. Much to my surprise, Dr. Bull answered his cell phone and after explaining the circumstances, he said to bring Olivia in immediately. I can't thank Dr Bull and his staff enough. I know Olivia would not be here today had Dr Bull not taken her in and provided her the special attention she needed. My girl was spoiled by Brittany and Danielle and had the run of the air conditioned office. She seemed a bit reluctant to leave since she had made so many new friends and was entertained by the other pets in the office. Olivia was six days new to the Boca area and Irma was her first hurricane. She now has an EXCEPTIONAL, compassionate Doctor to care for her future needs. I highly recommend this facility. This place is an absolute joke, with the worst customer service I've experienced from any business. You can look at my reviews and see that I don't make a habit of giving businesses one star. I'm a generally positive yelper, but the level of rudeness and amount of inconvenience this sorry excuse for an operation caused me is inexcusable. On Tuesday of thanksgiving weekend my girlfriend and I made the decision to board our 120 American Bulldog. Now, look, I understand that we made an EXTREMELY last minute decision, and had we called North Boca and they said "we are booked" this review would not be happening, and I may have frequented them in the future. I called and spoke with an extremely friendly woman (the only friendly person we encountered through this whole experience) who informed me, to my delight, that my dog would be able to be boarded, we discussed his breed type and size. She explained that it would be 38.50 a night and an additional figure around 40 dollars for him to be groomed. Also, we agreed he would get his shots brought up to date and have an initial visit prior to going in. This price was not discussed BUT generally this is around 150-200, and that seems to be the rate range advertised by other vet boarding facilities around here. So we agreed my girlfriend would drop my dog off the following morning. I was assured that a reservation was not necessary and they definitely had space Around 9am my girlfriend brought my dog to Boca North hospital. The staff was extremely rude to her and treated my dog as if he had the plague, my dog is a large and aggressive looking dog but he is an absolute baby. He has been a celebrity at every vet he's seen before (I've moved to 3 different cities since own if him). Here's where things get really ridiculous. * They put my girlfriend and dog in a separate room from the waiting room, acting as if my dog is jeopardizing the safety of other animals (my dog is sleeping on the floor when they move them) * After my girlfriend has to call me so I can inform the staff of the conversation I had the night before, a staff member returns to tell my girlfriend that the entire boarding + grooming + shots will cost $590. So that means the shots and checkup that is around 150-200 dollars is (supposedly) 320 dollars at Boca North (accounting for taxes). Although I have yet to call to verify this, what I expect the staff was attempting to do was price my girlfriend out, falsely assuming that we could not afford the expense. Wether or not we could afford it shouldn't be relevant, but being that the dog we were trying to board is a purple ribbon champion bloodline it's pretty hilarious if they were being this presumptuous. So, my girlfriend says we will pay the $590. If this ended with us paying the $590 and boarding my dog son this review wouldn't happen. *After leaving my girlfriend in the room again for sometime another staff member returns and tells my girlfriend that the boarding facility is actually full so they will not be able to board my dog. (Even though they were requesting 590 dollars previously) *After that staff member leaves my girlfriend in the room again for sometime the vet appears to let my girlfriend know that even if they weren't full (even though they were requesting 590 dollars previously) they would not be able to board my dog because he is an "unaltered American bulldog". So... Here's the thing, I specifically informed the boarding facility on Tuesday night that my dog was an American Bulldog, wether or not he was altered was not inquired and I don't make a habit of freely disclosing the nature of my dog's testes. The rates of the boarding were discussed, and the shots were discussed, although a price wasn't discussed (and I assume some responsibility for failing to inquire, but I made the logical assumption that because Boca North had the most affordable boarding prices in town they were probably within the average range- even if on the high end- for their vaccinations and exam). My girlfriend takes time out of her day before work to drop my dog off and gets treated like a second class citizen, gets sequestered in a private room away from everyone else, and is given a 45 minute run-around. If the business doesn't accept unaltered American Bulldogs shouldn't that be conveyed to the customer during the initial phone call? If the boarding facility is full then why did the person on the phone assure me that there was space. If either of the previous things were true then why on earth did an employee of Boca North calculate the price and (presumably) begin the process to board my dog? And if Boca North is actually charging 320 dollars for examination and Vac Pack then what they are doing is gouging prices on the Vac Pack (dog vaccinations are not expensive at all for vets to procure) so they can appear to have much lower boarding rates than their competitors, which is a deceptive sales practice. read more

There has NEVER been a time in 15 years that Dr. Bull has not responded and/or went out of his way (even after hours short notice) to care for my animals. Dr. Bull and his staff have been through all the phases of my animals lives (from new puppy to the dreaded times when you have to let go).
