It was such an involved project with many stages and steps. Every single phase was handled with such care, precision, cleanliness, accuracy, thoughtfulness and excellence. I cannot say enough about how extraordinary Daniel and his team members are. A lot of companies talk about how they really care, and how they'll take good care of you and the project-- but it is usually far from the truth. Daniel was just incredible, the real deal. If you're lucky enough, hire him while you can. Elizabeth

Once I replaced the tankless water heater, I had to deal with the residual damage from the water. The insurance folks sent out a demo team to take all the damaged wall/ ceiling and mold out. The insurance gave my Contact info to a Renovation company they use and said that they would call me. After a couple of days, I did not hear anything so I researched and found these guys on Yelp. They came out the same day provided a quote and I feel that their prices were reasonable. The insurance had already paid me out for what they guesstimated the cost of repairing everything ( i didn't tell them how much I was paid out) and it was comparable to what they quoted me. Although they said if their quote was more, they had no problem going back to the insurance folks to deal with them in regards to more money to do the project. Thankfully, we didn't need to do that. However, I thought that was important to mention because I didn't realize that a lot of people do not want to deal with insurance companies. I was turned away a couple of times when I was trying to find somebody to Replace the water heater and I needed them To provide information to the insurance company. These guys came in and we're so quick and efficient. I had a partial ceiling missing in my living room and in my garage. The wall that separated my living room and garage were missing. They Did the sheet rock, installation, crown molding, painted, Mounted all my cabinets and hooked back up my washer and dryer and sink in a few days! I'm definitely recommending them to friends and family.

Green Bee has helped us with every single mold issue. Please read my other review for more details. This past December, after having our house on the market for over 10 months with no movement, we finally were in contract. Then the Sierra Nevada foothills had the most epic storm in the past 30 years. Of course, more water intrusion. Russell had just repaired one part of the fireplace wall a few months earlier (see other review) but the whole other side failed during the December storm. Our stone veneer fireplace wall had to be taken down to fix the leak and mold. Russell was on it immediately. Because he took care of it so quickly while doing a very thorough job, we were able to close on the house just a couple of weeks late. He saved the day. Not only that, he found a wonderful contractor who rebuilt the whole wall in just a few days. We now live in our new house and fortunately, no water damage or mold. Russel and his team would be the first person I would call if we had any mold problems. He really is a kind, hardworking professional who has been a life saver multiple times in the past 5 years. Thank you Russell (and Team) for such great work and professionalism.

Jordan is the ONLY Radon mitigation professional certified by the State of CA in the entire Sacramento region. From his first visit, it was clear that Jordan has in-depth knowledge of Radon and the mitigation options. It was impressive that he took the time to survey the site, looking for the best place to put the system, considering not just the technical factors but also aesthetics as well as creating the most cost effective option. He picked the site on the side of the house next to the AC pad. Even though it was a very tight space for him to work, even though it would be the most inconvenient place for him to work with, he picked that one because it the the best option for me, because there was no cement patio around the spot, so it require no tearing up the concrete. Jordan is professional, and stands by his work. He even gave a testing kit (with prepaid shipping label and lab cost prepaid) to get tested in the future. I highly recommend Jordan for any Radon mitigation work.

When I spoke to Harold, he explained everything to me and was very candid, which is great. He also recommended that I check the licensing of the other companies I had quotes from. I'm happy! I recommend them.

The experience from start to finish was a living nightmare…read more I was not made fully aware of what needed to happen in the way of prep (I went with this company because unlike the others they were able to accomodate not having to move all the furniture out). I felt rushed into a date that was 2 days away (otherwise I would have to wait until Feb, which at the time was 5 months later). I was told it would take two days at most (wed/thurs). On Thursday afternoon they called and said I couldnt get back in my house until Monday. I told them I needed clothes, etc, and was told if you want to sign something saying the asbestos may not be gone because we can't do the clearance test until Friday afternoon and results won't be in until Monsay then fine. I felt pigeoned into a very difficult decision, but they promised they'd always had negative test results. When I came home Thursday the workers had ripped off the ceiling fans and left them in piles on the deck, literally ripped my curtain tie backs out of the walls and left them lying around. The screens were out if the windows all jalopy as if they kicked them out. And the worst part, they used my brand new outdoor kitchen sink which had not been used yet to clean all the equipment, and it was scratched to hell. I sat there crying. That wasn't the worst. I went into the house and my 8-year old sons bed had popcorn ceiling all over it. They ripped the tape off so hard that it ripped the drywall off the side walls. I had $1800 in drywall repairs on the side walls (nearly every wall in every room) and staples were left everywhere- not one or two- more like 50. A few weeks ago the handyman was finally able to come reinstall the ceiling fans, low and behold, parts were missing. The cost to replace the parts was near as much as the fans, so I had to buy new fans. When I asked the company if they could see if the workers knew where they put the parts I was met with a balogney email about being out of the window for warranty and financial requests. The only reason I'm giving this company 2 stars is because the owner did work with me to recoup some of the cost. But I absolutely would not recommend them- not to a friend or an enemy. They were horrid.

The…read moreerrors, poor communication and lack of attention to detail lead to poor quality work and lack of professional integrity. We experienced an unfortunate house fire on June 28th 2024. Sierra Renovations was contracted to complete the renovation and was reported as one of the insurance approved providers. PROS they were great about working directly with insurance for change order approvals. CONS DID NOT MEET STATED DEADLINES: Initial assessment was for work completion and move back in by end of January 2025. We had to terminate contract with them 7 months (April 2025) as they had only be at the home to work for 23 total days. WORK INCOMPLETE AND SLOPPY--Lack attention to detail: painters did not remove nails, paint on remaining baseboards thus needing replacement, did not remove a jewelry box wall, rather painted over the screws and around it. LVP flooring was installed incorrectly, floor not prepped or leveled, moisture barrier was not laid first as required and the flooring was set too close to wall which would void the warranty. Cabinets ordered, took 3 months to arrive, not accurately measured as none of the cabinets that arrived fit into our home. They were the cabinets we requested, but they were just ordered in standard sizes that was NOT correct sizing for our home. POOR COMMUNICATION: Floor was not ordered when stated, deposit for materials NOT made. Workers NOT at the home when stated. Ignored all the phone calls and emails to requesting call back about the delays and why workers were not at the home. Cabinet rendering was not provided when stated and was not provided before cabinets were ordered. After waiting 3 months for cabinets, all were incorrectly sized, no wide enough for space, too deep hung over door frame, not room for standard appliances. We requested weekly update emails after months of poor communication, they agreed -- we received them a little over half the time. ATTEMPTED TO OVER CHARGE US: We were sent a charge of $6100, stating it was not covered in insurance repair order, luckily, we had reviewed the insurance repair orders in great detail and most of it was covered. Found out by owner that they (contractor) had failed to carry it over to their repair list. DAMAGE to home tore hole in window screen cut main HVAC duct (they were NOT contracted to work on HVAC) Failed to haul away trash. Told insurance that we did not give them time to haul away trash, however the trash in question was used in October/November 2024 and in April 2025 it was still in the garage. When asked to take accountability from the California State Licensing Board (CSLB), the contractor response was we were "difficult" from the beginning because we were asking for changes to be made to our home that we paid out of pocket for. Not quite sure how the painting, incorrect installation of flooring and incorrect measurements of cabinets was due to us being "difficult", but be warned that any issues you encounter with this contractor will be your fault because you are "difficult". If you are looking for an honest, accountable contractor, we advise looking elsewhere, Sierra Renovations will not meet those expectations.

But when I hired them to do the remodel, the job went south very quickly. I am very unhappy with the work this company did. On day 1, they broke a pot that had a plant in it and didn't tell me. They hid the plant in a random bucket and I had to be the one to get them to replace the broken pot, which didn't happen until the last day of this 2 month ordeal. They used the toilet at my house, which was in my bedroom, and didn't flush. When I was home, a worker said some very inappropriate things to me like "cock and fuck" and "this insurance work is such easy money." Which made a job I already felt uneasy about, more unsettling. They left dings in the walls and spaces between the baseboards and flooring. The baseboards are not the same shiny white they used to be, they're dull and look dirty which makes me think they were only primed. There was sticky dirt left on almost every other panel of the new flooring that I have to use goo-gone to get off. They re-installed my toilet, stove and dishwasher side-ways and the sink in my guest room only dispenses hot water now. They used my couch that I had placed outside as their own personal work station. I came home to stacks of wood and tools on the couch. Some of this was fixed and taken care of but I had to ask over and over again. I am not a confrontational person but there were times where I had to fight with my project director for the sake of getting my house back to what is was. Overall I would not recommend this company and wish I would have used someone else.
