My interactions with the office manager, Ebony, were equally disappointing. I found her to be rude, condescending, and combative. Instead of trying to resolve my concerns, I was told there was no one above her that I could speak with, which made the situation even more frustrating. I would strongly recommend reviewing your treatment plan, billing, and insurance claims carefully before agreeing to any procedures. Based on my experience, I was recommended services I questioned, and I was billed incorrectly for services I actually received. If you read the other reviews, you'll notice that concerns about billing and office management have been raised by multiple patients. That pattern, combined with my own experience, is why I cannot recommend this practice.

Dr. Modkins explained everything clearly with no pressure. After 6 years without a cleaning, I expected soreness but had none even the next day. Highly recommend for anyone with dental anxiety. From the moment Stephanie greeted me at the door, I felt welcomed and at ease. Even something as small as having my favorite Liquid Death water stocked in the waiting room made a difference. The techs (I wish I could remember their names!) were so easy to talk to, it honestly made me forget why I was there in the first place. Once I got back, I was given a weighted blanket and a comfy neck pillow, and I even got to choose something to watch on the TV while I was laid back. At one point I joked that it felt like a pediatric dentist because it was so cozy, especially with the TV on the ceiling. Dr. Modkins took the time to explain everything clearly and never made me feel rushed, which is something I've experienced at larger chain offices. The nerd in me loved all the newer technology and the digital scanning of my teeth. I really appreciated being walked through all my options, including what she personally would do, without feeling pressured into anything. They also provided a full cost breakdown before starting, so there were no surprises at the end, which I really value. I went in for a broken permanent retainer removal and a cleaning after not having been to the dentist in 6 years due to anxiety. I was honestly very nervous, but I never once felt judged or shamed. After that long, I expected my mouth to be really tender after a cleaning, but even the next day I had no pain. This was hands down the best dental experience I've ever had. My husband has the same anxiety, and I'm going to do my best to bring him here too. It's so close to our house, and I'll definitely be back.

Dr Kelly Kim took the time to explain why my tooth cracked and what was needed to repair. I purchased an annual basic care program (as I no longer carry dentist insurance), and to repair the tooth and into a crown the overall price was very fair. My nerves are stable in everything life except for dental work. They offered relax oxygen and made room for my repair the following Monday! I did not even feel the shots to numb up my mouth and the procedure went very well. Dr Kim is a excellent dentist and her bedside manner really made me feel relaxed and I am more than pleased for their effort to prioritize my mini emergency. I feel like I finally found my local dentist that cares about people in the community and having them take the time to listen to my concerns they made me feel relaxed and fully exceeded my expectations. The office staff also works well from the initial call to the final checkout. If you are not pleased with your dentist or looking, I strongly recommend this practice. This year, leading up to my annual cleaning, the office called me multiple times throughout the week asking me to move my scheduled Saturday 12:30 PM appointment to an earlier time (around 10 AM). I clearly explained each time that I work long hours and that 12:30 PM was the earliest I could come. Despite this, they continued to pressure me to change my appointment. On the morning of my appointment, they called again and told me they needed me to come earlier because "the doctor did not want to wait two hours for my appointment." I was also told they "usually close early," which makes me question why they even offer later appointment times if they are unwilling to honor them. I was then told that I would need to reschedule, even though I was fully willing and able to attend my original appointment. I had already rearranged my schedule and stacked multiple medical appointments on my only day off that week specifically to accommodate this visit. Like many working adults, I have very limited flexibility during business hours, and I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a healthcare office to respect a time slot that they themselves scheduled. As someone who works in healthcare, I found this extremely unprofessional and not patient-centered at all. When I later decided to cancel because I no longer felt comfortable with the level of professionalism, the receptionist simply said, "Okay, I will cancel your appointment and inactivate your account. Goodbye." No apology, no attempt to address the issue, no basic courtesy. Patients should not be made to feel like their time is less valuable than a provider's convenience. The lack of respect, communication, and professionalism throughout this entire interaction was shocking. I will not be returning and would not recommend this office based on this experience.
