I've been wanting to try this spot but am always a little apprehensive about it, today I decided to branch out of my usual avocado toast obsession and get an açaí bowl from a new place. She brought up the Chunkey Monkey. Winner! Sounded Great! Safe and clean little place. They also do waffles, bowls, teas, etc. They do the Herbalife with most and it doesn't have Whey. Set it up for tomorrow morning to pick up. 10/18/24 Friday already! Arrived to pick up! Really Great! Greeted upon entering and they had cinnamon rolls that wasn't on DoorDash. I had to buy one of those too! The worker was great upon entering. Told me they had a customer take all of the cinnamon rolls so they took them off DoorDash. Must be Really Great! At first, all I noticed was the movie theater in front of me, and I literally did a huge circle before realizing this spot was only about 200 feet behind me. The area itself is really cute and seems newer -- there's a Trader Joe's nearby and a Fresno State-type merch shop close by too. The café had a younger staff and things felt a little disorganized during my visit. There were quite a few people waiting both to order and to receive their food, and I noticed one employee handling a phone while wearing gloves, which wasn't ideal. That said, I'm guessing they're still newer and working through the growing pains because the smoothie itself was REALLY good. I ordered the #9 protein smoothie with kale, pineapple, orange juice, and a few other ingredients, and it was fresh, flavorful, and filling. Overall, I gave it 4 stars because the quality of the smoothie was excellent, but the service/organization still needs some fine-tuning. I'd definitely stop again though -- especially to try one of their chia bowls because they looked delicious.

What they serve is beneficial for you in terms of protein and/or caffeine. You can order drinks with collagen, probiotics, fiber, vitamin C + a bunch of other good stuff. Great for post workout or for hydration, digestion, energy, or a heart boost. To be real: You can taste the protein / added benefits in the drink. Once you accept that taste, you'll enjoy it more. But can be off putting if you don't anticipate it. The staff was super friendly and kind! They knew their stuff, but made the experience incredibly approachable. They were quick which made everything smooth. This place does have a punch card which is a nice incentive to come back! Drinks range from about $6-$9.50 and food from about $9-$13 which is reasonable, but can get a little pricy if you go crazy with your order!
