The worst massage place. Spend your monies elsewhere. Barely speaks English. Does not listen or understand what you want

My schedule doesn't allow me to go to a regular massage therapist where I have to book an appointment well in advance. So I usually go to the Chinese foot massage places where I can simply walk in. Needless to say, these are always hit and miss. Let me tell you, this place is a hit. One of the best massages I have had, and I get them regularly. The lady was strong, did a fabulous deep tissue, her strokes were long and fluid. There is a bar bolted to the ceiling where she could hold on as she walked on my back, allowing her to control the amount of pressure. It was simply fabulous. The place is clean, smells fresh, I was seen right away on my lunch hour at straight up noon (most places are usually packed at lunch and run out of therapists, I saw at least five other people in there, and there were at least two masseuse's waiting). She did a hot stone massage near the end of the hour, and while those sat on my back, she gave me a fabulous head massage. Simply fabulous!

And then she went out 3-4 times to take payments from other customers. I was never fully covered, at one point sheet was completely off when she walked out and back in. 1 Star -- Very Disappointing Experience and Lack of Accountability…read more I normally don't write negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before visiting this establishment. I went to Crystal Palace Massage on Wednesday Sep 30th hoping to relax and enjoy a massage. When the male massage therapist came in, I specifically asked if a female therapist was available. I was told there wasn't one and that I should have requested a female therapist when booking my appointment. Although I was uncomfortable with the situation, I decided to proceed. My preference for a female therapist has nothing to do with embarrassment. It's because I've experienced significant muscle soreness after massages performed by male therapists in the past, and I wanted to avoid that happening again. Unfortunately, after this massage, I developed severe pain in my left arm and shoulder. The pain became so intense that it woke me from my sleep. I could barely move my arm without experiencing significant discomfort. This was not ordinary post-massage soreness. I contacted the business to explain what I was experiencing, hoping for some understanding and genuine concern. Instead, I received a lengthy message explaining how experienced and licensed their male therapist was and suggesting that massage-related injuries typically happen immediately during or after a session. They also reassured me that because I had received a relaxation massage rather than a Thai massage, there was no reason to worry about an injury from the session. What bothered me most was how quickly they appeared to dismiss my concerns without knowing what was medically causing my pain. They offered me pain-relief patches and even a complimentary massage. While I acknowledge those gestures, I wasn't looking for free products or another massage. I wanted my concerns to be taken seriously. On October 8, 2026, I ended up going to Kaiser Permanente Urgent Care because of the pain. I was evaluated for left shoulder joint pain and prescribed two anti-inflammatory medications, including oral medication and a topical gel. I understand that not every symptom following a massage is necessarily caused by the massage itself. However, I know how I felt before my appointment and what I experienced afterward. What disappointed me most was the way my concerns were handled. Rather than simply acknowledging my experience and encouraging me to seek medical attention, the initial response focused heavily on defending the therapist and reassuring me that the massage couldn't have caused an injury. Customer service isn't just about how you treat people when everything goes well. It's also about how you respond when a customer tells you something went wrong. I will be attaching screenshots of our communication so others can read the business's response and form their own opinions. I sincerely hope the business takes this feedback seriously and handles similar situations with greater empathy and professionalism in the future. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning.

I'm Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. This place…read morewas wonderful and so reasonably priced. Nancy gave me a massage and listened to my needs, she even added hot rocks to help with some of my lower back pain. I felt safe, the place is clean, and has a wonderful atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

If I had only two words with which to review my experience here, they would be "fast" and…read more"furious." With more words, something like this: I was really stressed out and trying to avoid burning out totally so I thought I'd get a massage. I came in during my lunch break to ask about an evening appointment and the woman behind the counter asked what time, I said 4:30 and she said okay, see you then. She didn't ask for my name, contact info, what I wanted done or for how long. Do they only have one option here? I came back at 4:30 and the woman showed me to the massage room. It was minimalist but functional. She didn't seem ready to volunteer any information so I asked how long the massage would be? 60 min? 90 min? I was told one hour. She left while I undressed and lay on the table. She returned and began. I told her I had come in because I had injured my left shoulder and wanted some help. She focused almost the whole hour on my shoulders which I appreciated, but overall she was just so... uncommunicative. She asked nothing of me, and only once asked if I was okay. She was very strong and seemed knowledgeable in the ways of muscle massage, but did not seem to have a great empathy for me as a customer. I'm more sensitive than most and her strong touch was mostly uncomfortable, sometimes painful. She responded some when I flinched, cried out or tensed up but her fingers and hands felt like steamrollers over the knots in my muscles. I already knew I liked a slow massage, but this made me 100% certain. It felt like she was trying to cram 120 minutes of massage into 60 and the hot towel was nice, as were the hot stones when they didn't feel like they were burning me. Her abrupt departures from the room to get those things was a little awkward though, and twice the pressure she put on my sore muscles reduced me to tears! I waited a few days before writing this review. I wanted to see if the massage had made my shoulder better. If the gain was worth the pain. The next day, my shoulders and neck were literally sore to the touch. Gentle pressure on them hurt, though that went away by about the second day. My shoulder feels better than it did, but I don't have improved range of motion I had hoped for. Finally, I was hoping a massage would pull me back from the brink of burnout, but I had to take two days off work after my massage because the whole thing had so completely worn me out it pushed me that much more over the edge. Also I had no idea how much things cost since there was really no communication! After my massage I went out to the front desk (where the woman asked me for only the second time if I was okay) and asked how much it was. She said $40 per hour. I confirmed I had been there for an hour and paid/tipped and left. Final thoughts: If you like a strong massage and are not too picky about technique or communication about your wants/needs, this might be the right place for you. If you need someone who makes an effort to understand you as a person and your needs for massage, I recommend looking elsewhere.
