The woman I spoke to was helpful in relaying their focus, and provided a charismatic energy to my visit. I discovered that prices are marked up only slightly, as the organization is non-profit and the co-op is just looking to pay rent every month. With such genuine intentions, its a spot to support. Besides its wide range of grains, the co-op offers pasta, dried fruit, nuts, jams and honey, chocolate, and frozen foods from treats to bread and waffles. There are even organic cleaning supplies towards the back! Its an abundant little spot with a strong backing of locals. And this goes without saying, but all of The Grainery's supply is of the local and organically made origin. While I can't do grains so much, I'll be back for the Raw Chocolate and other treats. Its a collective of people making the extra effort to provide the community with goods. A worthy trip-- food coming from a good place with the intentions to match.

I asked about a wonderful KETO friendly product that I have purchased at another health food shop , as well as grocery stores. When I asked at the Bedford location about them, I was told " well if the grocery store has them, that is why WE don't!". That seemed quite rude and elitist, and made me feel like this woman felt that they were too good to carry a product that the grocery store also carries. There is a problem that is hard to find prices and sometimes they don't match the product on the shelf. I have bought flour at bulk section that was rancid. Regular grocery stores are trying to ban the plastic bag, today I saw them offering not only the grocery bag made out of plastic but they put fliers inside each one of them.
