There are multiple vendors, a Balloon Museum, and an indoor space for events and art with a chill lounge with images that pay homage to the history of the Pullman Porters. I strongly recommend this experience and that you arrive around 12 noon because it gets crowded quickly. Admission is free but you pay each vendor as you purchase. This is an every Saturday evening beginning at 1 p.m. through 5 p.m. EST. There is both paid and on the street free street parking on Arizona. There is no specific Yelp profile for Pullman Yards or the Chef's Market so this is the only option I could find about the venue.

The atmosphere was pleasant, as the space itself is modern and well-designed, with a relaxed yet upscale vibe. The location, within the historic Foundry building, adds a bit of character and charm to the overall ambiance. The service was friendly, though it was a bit inconsistent. The catering dropped the ball for people who did not eat meat or fish. My plate consisted of a dry salad (no dressing) and some sort of grain dish that I opted not to eat. Our server struggled with our table of eight, as we had to wait longer than expected for refills and updates on our meal offerings and timing. It wasn't a major issue, but it did take away from the overall experience. The tables and chairs need to be reupholstered or replaced, as the chairs we had damaged two of our table guest's dresses. Overall, it is a great venue.

Our company held our annual holiday party this year at The Foundry at Puritan Mill. The Foundry at Puritan Mill is located in Westside Atlanta, very close to the King Plow Arts Center. The site used to be home of the Puritan Chemical Company, who manufactured soaps and other cleaning products. The building has since been renovated and transformed into a clean and modern-looking facility. The floor space is huge. Sections were cordoned off with tall, elegant, white curtains. Along with nice decor and ambient lighting, the building still maintains an industrial look and feel with high, enormous ceilings with exposed ductwork and steel support beams, smooth-finished concrete floors, brick walls, and giant warehouse-style windows. There's also a patio outside, not to mention ample free parking. Puritan Mill provided more than enough space for our group of about 130-140. For our party, the venue was divided into three sections: (1) cocktails, h'orderves, (2) live music and dancing, (3) dinner. The first hour consisted of an open bar with standing tables and light h'orderves. When dinnertime rolled around, the curtains were pulled back and the beautiful, intimate dining area opened up. After dinner, dancing lasted late into the night. Overall, it was a very fun time and I had a blast. Food and drinks were provided by Bold American Catering (preferred caterer). Live entertainment was provided by Freeflight Productions of Kennesaw.

It was in what I would expect to be the main room, which was very open, clean, and welcoming. There's a stage up front and the rest of the room is clear hardwood floors: perfect for a dance class but it'd work for a multitude of events. The entire center seems new, and I was definitely impressed by the grounds, complete with basketball courts and a soccer field. While Clarkston may have never been on my radar before this event, they're certainly lucky to have a community center like this one. #yelp365 24/365

The booking process was easy, and the team who runs it is very responsive. I'd use this venue again! The only things to note in terms of whether or not the venue will work for you are as follows: The "Sky box" room has a steep flight of stairs to access, no elevator. The bathroom is separated by a curtain, no wall, so ti is not soundproof. That was fine for us, as it was a busy party with lots of background noise so it was private enough.

It's a fairly small museum which was originally the house of a successful African American doctor named Dr. Otis Thrash Hammonds who had a love for the arts. ***Please note it is a SMALL museum but the art work is beautiful. It took me about 30 mins which mostly included me watching some of a short film to go through the entire museum. The reason for my four stars instead of five is as I was visiting the museum in one of the rooms that I entered there seemed to be two women who I believe were employees that sat at a table in one of the museum rooms and talked and discussed business as I entered an explored the art. It was very unprofessional! Other than that, a great hidden gem to explore in Atlanta. Students pay a discounted rate with IDs of $5.00, adults $10.00 and anyone under the age of 12 are free.

The House itself is an open love letter to the Westside of Atlanta. I believe the host told me the artist is named Shaniqua Gay. In the house there are beautiful painting on the walls showcasing the community's known figures. Captivating, historic, and memorable. I recommend everyone to visit to experience the artistry. Side note: Parking may be a bit difficult to locate but there's a library walking distance from the house.

The ArtsXchange is a hidden gem in SW Atlanta. It is a living example of the evolution of…read morecommunities and the community facilities built to serve the residents. When my daughter moved to Eastpoint around 2014, the building that houses The ArtsXchange was merely a shuttered old elementary school. About a year later the ArtsXchange opened up and we went to an event for Mothers Day that was a local singer, performing for mothers and daughters in the local community. The first two pictures are from that. At the time my friend, Todd Mack was conducting youth music and composition workshops and camps to bridge communication and philosophical divides between the Faiths: Jewish, Muslim & Christian. It was/is Music In Common. I talked to the managers about his program and they put up the flyers and distributed to the community. My daughter moved. Tyler Perry Studios moved in at Fort McPherson and the neighborhood that once had gunfire at night and drug houses down the street began to transform. I had the opportunity to return to ArtsXchange recently for Music In Common's 20th anniversary celebration. I was delighted to see there were many local residents in attendance. In talking to them it was clear that the ArtsxChange had become a vibrant part of the fabric of the community --- for regular scheduled meetups, unique creative performances, classes and workshops, lectures, and so much more. The exterior has been painted with lovely murals. It brings a heartbeat to a community in transition. The drug houses and gunfire are gone. Residents are creatives working at Tyler Perry Studio, active retirees, and young families seeking to live in diverse neighborhoods. The location is convenient to downtown Atlanta and the airport. The food scene is on the rise. The people that operate ArtsXchange are very committed to making sure every visitor feels appreciated. It is a great place to host an event too.

Needless to say, I immediately became a fan of this impromptu live music session after hearing the first song! I only wish to learn of something similar in the DMV area.
