It's a really fun way to start your Saturday morning. She does 30 minutes of fun choreographed boxing and then 30 minutes of barre. I just tried barre sculpt with Janet K and I love her energy and attitude- she's funny, high energy, and really positive vibes that push you through class. I also tried Petra's yo-barre class on Thursdays and loved that as well. She does 30 minutes of barre followed by 30 minutes of deep stretching. I don't stretch enough so I really like her take of the yoga/barre combo. Katie's Monday night barre class is also amazing because she REALLY focuses on core. She is an incredible trainer and is so good at cue-ing your breath connected with your abdominals. Kim's step class on Mondays is SO fun. I was laughing my butt off because I was so uncoordinated. It's not only an excellent physical workout, but it works your brain a lot too. I love that Barreworks has grown and developed into so much more than a barre studio where you can still get barre, but also a lot more.

Took the tuesday am class with Janet- she was so knowledgeable about alignment/form. I often am frustrated with instructors given a couple of injuries- under direction could worsen. Janet knew exactly how to modify and was very specific in her instruction. Not an easy class- time we'll spent.

I've attended the Inglewood, Carson, and Rancho Cucamonga locations. Inglewood recently closed, and…read moreRancho had become my home because of its wonderful instructors and front office staff. I'm incredibly sad that Romance and Dance announced the Rancho location's closure today with so little notice. Doreen, Tiffany, and Elisha were wonderful. They carried so much with grace and made this community worth showing up for. My concern is with ownership and the conditions leading up to the closure. In the final days, we were practicing pole in the dark, at night with candles and no air conditioning after the electricity went out. My understanding was that the electricity bill had gone unpaid. Given the physical demands and risks of pole, I did not feel safe practicing in those conditions. I also experienced cleanliness issues including large cockroaches that added to my concerns. The owners' announcement acknowledged that they had been trying for some time to keep Rancho open. I understand that financial difficulties and closing a business are painful. Still, instructors and clients deserved timely communication about the conditions and the possibility of closure so they could make informed decisions and prepare. I'm writing this because I care about the people who made these studios special, and I want the remaining Carson location to do better. Instructors deserve a safe, clean workplace. Clients deserve a safe, clean place to practice. Both deserve honest communication. I wish the best for everyone involved, especially the Rancho instructors, staff, and community now navigating this loss.

RegenX has been instrumental in helping me balance these challenges and work towards a healthier body, naturally. I was stuck for 2-3 years, not being able to achieve the health goals I set for myself and doctors kept trying to push medications down my throat, but I knew those medications would not do any justice for my case. Staying consistent and having the support system at Regenx has helped me, not only transform my body, they have also helped me find out more about myself and my self-worth. I'm excited to continue growing within the RegenX family, getting to know everyone better, and pushing myself and my CrossFit community to new heights. I also love introducing new people to the gym and helping to expand our community. I'm truly grateful for the supportive and motivating environment at RegenX. It's not just about fitness--it's about community, growth, and celebrating each other's successes. This is a great community and the workouts are safe and fun! The trainers are knowledgeable and approachable. They are always watching and correcting form while giving you a little push to go heavier. Workouts are usually a circuit of stations using free weights, kettlebells, TRX, boss balls, etc. The ab finisher and sled pushes at the end top off the challenging hour. That being the basics you might ask about the gym, let me tell you about my results on the 8 week slim down challenge. I worked out 2-3 times at the gym per week and tried to do alternate activities on my off days. I ate a sensible meal plan, no crazy supplements or restrictions. I lost 14 pounds and am off 2 medications. My labs came back better and the panic I felt about my health is gone and I feel hope. So instead of experiencing of crazy starvation diet and bootcamp misery, I found a lifestyle reset. This is sustainable. I don't feel deprived or broken. Even in this horrid heatwave, I'm getting up for my 5am workouts. I may not exactly look forward to that 4:30 am alarm, but it is a new habit that is part of my morning routine.

I am giving a one star because of the predatory practice that OrangeTheory has in cancelling. I requested a cancellation a few days before my charge date because I don't have time to go regularly anymore. The employee told me "I'll take care of it for you," so I assumed, like when I put my account on hold in the past and they said the same thing, that they would do so. On September 7, I noticed I had been charged for the month of August when I had asked to cancel. When I reached out, I was sent a survey to cancel, so I completed it. On September 16, I was charged for yet another month. So, now this is $200 that they have taken from my credit card when I canceled beforehand. In communicating with the regional manager, they said they cannot give me a refund because there is no record of my cancellation prior to September 7. That is because the employee forgot to put it into the system, so now I have to pay money for a gym I am not even attending because someone messed up on their end and they're not being held accountable, or they're just lying that I asked them to do it so they don't get in trouble for forgetting. Then I was told that they require 30 days notice. NO ONE TOLD ME THIS UNTIL TODAY! In a company worth so much money, I don't see how they cannot refund me. In this economy, $200 isn't nothing. I am so sad about this because I always planned on returning to OT when my schedule would allow for it in a few months, but now I will not be returning. I am really hurt that they could easily refund me because it's a company worth over $1 billion. $200 is nothing to them, but a lot to me. It is shocking that this is how they treat people who have been loyal to them for so long. Be careful if you sign up for OrangeTheory because this is a predatory practice, and I can't be the only person who has had this happen to them.
