I've been attending Fitness 19 for over a year now and have noticed a huge change, both physically…read moreand mentally! Prior to beginning this program, I had never weightlifted and did not know where to even begin to learn. Working with a personal trainers seemed too intimidating, and I did not know enough to begin learning on my own and risk an injury. This program is the happy medium!   Twice a week, you receive incredibly detailed videos for each movement/exercise where your coach talks through the proper form, suggests a starting weight, explains what the movement should feel like, what muscle groups you should activate, tips on how to protect your back & neck, etc. He equips you with all the information you need to feel comfortable enough to complete the exercise. If that weren't enough, a floor coach is always available throughout your workout to help guide you in any aspect you need. A new wristband system allows you to further personalize the program, by indicating how much interaction you would like from your coach on that given day/exercise. Want a really involved floor coach that will give you all the expert tips? Wear green! Do you prefer to be on your own and reach out to the coach yourself with questions? Wear red! The beauty of this program is in the flexibility it provides, from how involved you would like your trainer to be, to setting your own schedule.   I highly recommend this program and do not have plans of quitting anytime soon. Your future buns of steel will thank you for signing up today!

The equipment is well kept. The employees are great. The hours are good. I wish it was open later,…read more but in that neighborhood, 11 pm is fine for Monday through Thursday. The massage machine is awesome. The problem is the members. They NEVER put the weights back. They play on their phone when they are working on the machines, hogging them up. Go there at between 6 pm and 8:30 pm. You will have to hunt for the dumbells or weights you want. Go into stretching area, and there are discarded weights and mats all over. I find it inconsiderate and flat out RUDE! The staff are instructed to do nothing about it. In their defense, who wants to pick up weights behind grown ass adults all shift. Maybe they could put up signs or something, but it's ridiculous. Go before or after prime time, or the time you had budgeted to work out will be spent looking for equipment. The bottom line is THE MEMBERS SUCK!

Should be a 4-5 star rating. If you decide to sign up; you can take this review and be cautious of…read moresign up at Anytime Fitness for same cost and newer/updated equipment. The Great: Showers/restrooms- amazingly clean! The main reason I signed up here. I commute a distance to go to work and travel at times, this gym is nearby by and cleaner than any 24hr/LA Fitness. Decided to pay more here for the cleanliness and because there's only 4 people in the morning working out. The Ugly: Family owned gym, so whatever experience you encounter. You will receive a very dismissive and condescending response. Especially from older gentleman. I happened to move a rower that's downstairs, 10 feet over... sorry 15ft over in front of the other broken tower to conduct a super set/circuit. During a set, the female owner just comes over and moves it back without having a conversation beforehand. There's no moving equipment, she said after I told her I was using it. Maybe I'm just a diva; but having a conversation with your members (especially a family gym goes a long way). Another Ugly: (Scam) At least big box gyms let you cancel if you move away 25 miles or more from a location of theirs. Their contract will have you pay out in full. Or continue your monthly payments until it ends. For the cost; it's better to join a Anytime Fitness if you're near one or avoid their 12 month contract.

I would not recommend this gym based on my experience. While the facility is generally clean--aside…read morefrom a few roof leaks on the bottom floor--and there is a decent variety of equipment (most of which appears to be second-hand), the management and communication have been far beyond disappointing. I initially joined Tone Body Fitness primarily for the boxing classes. I was one of the first to attend the free trial week and decided to sign up for both the gym membership ($65) and boxing membership ($125), totaling $195 per month. When I inquired about signing up for JUST the boxing classes, I was told that wasn't possible due to challenges in distinguishing gym members from boxing members. Because I had previously trained with Justin and enjoyed his classes, I chose to proceed regardless. A few months in, I was informed at the front desk that my account hadn't been properly billed for the boxing membership. I confirmed this on my end and paid the outstanding balance without issue. While there, I provided some feedback on the classes--specifically about the limited number of boxing bags and the volume of music from other classes affecting instruction. The girl at the front desk was polite and receptive, but the owner interjected with a dismissive comment, which did not reflect well on how feedback is handled. Later, I learned that several other members were paying only for boxing classes, contradicting what I was initially told. When I brought this to management's attention, I was informed that I would need to fulfill my full annual contract before making any changes. I could not believe it. There was no acknowledgment of the initial misinformation or willingness to find a resolution, which I found incredibly disappointing. To mirror the sentiments of Erick V. "having a conversation with your members goes a long way". In summary, while the gym has some positives, such as clean restrooms and an experienced boxing instructor, the inconsistent communication, lack of transparency, and poor customer service make it difficult to recommend--especially at a premium price point. There are other fitness centers in the same price range that offer better value and professionalism.

I just finished 4 weeks/8 sessions with Dan and I am extremely satisfied with my training!…read more Dan is a professional through and through. He tailored my workouts and listened to me. I read someone here say, he's in his office most of time. I say there is some truth to that but I am glad that he doesn't micromanages me! He is still watching through his computer what is happening on the floor. He saw me struggling finding a balance once and he came right out to correct my posture. He is watching at all times and I appreciate that. I also love the encouragement that the gives me. His statement, "you are not here to try, you are here to work" lives rent-free in my head. I push myself harder because I know he believes I can do it. The fee can be a little steep for others but you get what you pay for . I treat it as an investment I am making for myself. I now sleep better, have more energy and feels stronger physically. Lastly, there are quite a few people I've met who have been at this gym for over 3 years. What does that tell you? Hop on!

After completing my initial month of training, my primary takeaway is that the owner, Dan,…read moredemonstrates a clear lack of engagement and coaching passion. My friend and I terminated our membership after the first month because the coaching model did not match what was advertised. Dan claims to offer 1:1 personal training or small group sessions, but this was far from the reality. Typically, you have to approach his office door and ask what the workout is for the day. If you ask, he might briefly explain the movements; if you don't ask, he won't proactively offer guidance. Throughout the session, the owner remains seated in his office, observing via monitors. He rarely corrects form or offers instruction because he is not actively supervising the floor. On rare, lucky occasions, he might come out, say a few words, and give you a perfunctory high-five when you finish. I also experienced unprofessional practices regarding both pricing and communication. The day following my inquiry, the advertised 2025 price structure (which was $395 for two sessions per week/per month) was removed from the website, and I was subsequently presented with a new, higher rate. Furthermore, his follow-up email used highly deceptive sales language: "Here is what we have available with ongoing special including $50 OFF every package and it is month to month, no contract required nor any other hidden fees (Nutrition guide is also included in the package.)" 2 x per week = 8 sessions in one month, One month package is $395 The issue is that when I sought clarification, Dan stated that the $395 price we were charged was already the rate after the $50 discount was applied. This setup is highly misleading, as the email aggressively advertises a $50 ongoing special off the package, suggesting a lower final price. If you are looking for the dedicated, hands-on Personal Training (1-on-1 or semi-private classes) as described on the website, please consider other options.

From day one, they've brought nothing but positive energy. Devin deserves a special shoutout. I once mentioned the eucalyptus towels and asked if they could be kept stocked, and ever since then he has been ON IT. Every fridge stays filled, every time. That kind of follow-through really shows care and attention to members. Jasala is a pleasure every single time I walk in. She greets you with a genuine smile and amazing energy, and that honestly matters so much, especially at a gym. Being welcomed warmly sets the tone for the entire workout, and she does that effortlessly. And Taylor... always smiling, always good vibes, immaculate energy. You can tell he enjoys being there, and that energy spreads. I always joke that these three are my favorite workers at Iconix, but it's not really a joke. They truly elevate the experience and make the membership feel 100% worth it. Iconix is lucky to have them.

During class on December 9,2025 from 5-6PM, the space was small, so I wasn't able to follow the exact rotation and adjusted myself, which I believed was fine since the instructor didn't correct me. Another member gave me unsolicited directions even though she wasn't the instructor. At the end of class, she became passive-aggressive and asked the instructor to explain the rotation. Afterward, she stared me down aggressively. Then she continued to call out another woman in our class for doing squats in the inside of the circle. To which the instructor said it was completely fine. Afterwards I told her not to stare me down and that she's not the instructor to be delegating anyone in class. Despite me setting these boundaries, she pressed her body against me, yelling at me and trying to threaten/intimidate me. She began yelling religious statements, including things like "strike you down." I did not engage physically and was only protecting my personal space. The instructor did not intervene at the time, which made the situation feel even more unsafe. I hope the gym can address member behavior and ensure that everyone feels safe and respected during class. Otherwise, the workouts and instructors are great.
