this gym isn't that bad. I only chose this place because I hate packed gyms. I had a 24 pass before…read moreand it's ALWAYS packed. I'd rather not wait in line to use a machine. It's very small but has enough equipment that people aren't just sitting and waiting for people to be done. They have different promotions every month for each tier of their membership but I just did the lowest one cus it's $17 and I live very close by. I haven't used the gym to its full potential cus I'll only do stair master or a machine or two. I just cancelled my membership today bc I haven't been going and I rollerblade so that has been my work out. They charged me $17 to cancel my membership It was a good run, maybe I'll rejoin later. Also the ownership changed and the app doesn't work anymore which is kind of wack.

**Extremely deceptive billing and cancellation practices -- stay away from Blink Gardena**…read more I strongly recommend staying away from Blink Gardena. My experience with their cancellation process and billing has been absolutely unacceptable. Here is exactly what happened: **February 27:** After I moved away, I called Blink Gardena and asked to cancel my membership. They refused to cancel it and told me that I was required to continue paying until I had completed the full one-year commitment. I was unhappy with that, but I accepted it and continued paying as they required. **August 3:** After fulfilling that obligation, I called Blink Gardena again and clearly asked them to cancel my membership. A male employee at the front desk told me, **"Okay."** I had every reason to believe my membership had been canceled. **August 4:** I checked my account and discovered that immediately after my cancellation call on August 3, Blink had charged me **another annual fee for a second year.** So I called them again and asked a very simple question: **I called yesterday and you told me my membership was canceled. Why did you charge me another annual fee immediately afterward?** What happened next was unbelievable. The **same male employee who had told me "Okay" the day before** then demanded that **I provide proof that I had asked to cancel my membership.** Seriously? I was speaking to the same person who had personally taken my cancellation request less than 24 hours earlier, and now he wanted *me* to prove that the conversation had happened. How is a customer supposed to provide "proof" of a verbal cancellation request made by phone to your own employee? More importantly, why should the burden be on the customer when Blink should have its own account records, employee notes, call records, and billing history? The sequence of events is very simple: I asked to cancel after moving on February 27. They refused and required me to keep paying for the full year. I complied. On August 3, I called again and was explicitly told "Okay" when I asked to cancel. Immediately afterward, they charged me another annual fee. When I discovered it the next day and complained, the very employee who had accepted my cancellation demanded that I prove I had canceled. This goes far beyond poor customer service. In my experience, these billing and cancellation practices are **extremely deceptive and predatory**. Making it difficult for customers to leave is bad enough; charging another annual fee immediately after a cancellation request and then pretending the customer must prove that the cancellation request happened is outrageous. If you are considering joining Blink Gardena, **document EVERYTHING.** Do not rely on a phone conversation. Get cancellation confirmation in writing, save every email and screenshot, record the date and time of every call, and closely monitor your credit card or bank account afterward. I would absolutely never recommend this gym.

The Great: Showers/restrooms- amazingly clean! The main reason I signed up here. I commute a distance to go to work and travel at times, this gym is nearby by and cleaner than any 24hr/LA Fitness. Decided to pay more here for the cleanliness and because there's only 4 people in the morning working out. The Ugly: Family owned gym, so whatever experience you encounter. You will receive a very dismissive and condescending response. Especially from older gentleman. I happened to move a rower that's downstairs, 10 feet over... sorry 15ft over in front of the other broken tower to conduct a super set/circuit. During a set, the female owner just comes over and moves it back without having a conversation beforehand. There's no moving equipment, she said after I told her I was using it. Maybe I'm just a diva; but having a conversation with your members (especially a family gym goes a long way). Another Ugly: (Scam) At least big box gyms let you cancel if you move away 25 miles or more from a location of theirs. Their contract will have you pay out in full. Or continue your monthly payments until it ends. For the cost; it's better to join a Anytime Fitness if you're near one or avoid their 12 month contract.
