I had a doctor actually recommend I get pedicures to deal with how bad my callouses are. So, I started getting pedicures from various places. And then I got a pedicure from Rubey. She was the first pedicurist who didn't draw blood. I mentioned that to her, and she said she hears that a lot. And she was puzzled why people kept saying that. We say that because she's so good. So, I highly recommend Viva, especially Rubey, Janna (sp?), Barbara, and the 35th front desk person whose name I can't remember who straightened out so many things for me, but I wish they gave their massage therapists a longer break, and the music is bleh.

I would have much preferred a call beforehand notifying me of this issue and having the option to reschedule prior to spending nearly $100 on a pedicure. The pedicure itself was alright. Cuticles weren't really addressed whatsoever and after less than a week the polish was already chipping. I'd go back to try a different service but will not be returning for a manicure or pedicure

I found one and only one open booking at Milk + Honey nail salon today near home. They do soakless pedicures, which I'm not a big fan of. At the end of the day, I am most concerned with the final outcome not the journey to the end result. Although there is something to be said for soaking your feet in warm water. Milk + Honey uses warm wet towels to clean your feet. I got the standard pedicure. I'm going to Las Vegas tomorrow for a conference. I will be wearing sandals mostly. So, it is super important to have my feet looking nice. Milk + Honey are sustainability conscious. I was served chamomile tea with a cup that had these captions, " Certified Compostable " and "NO TREE" " No trees were harmed in the making of this cup." in addition, they had water bottle refillable station...first time I have seen this in a nail salon. Love this! Srija did a nice job on my feet. She was gentle in handling my feet and super precise in cutting my cuticles. I was also given 4 choices of lotions for my feet - Energize (my choice), Rosemary, Calm and Unscented. She ended with a foot massage which put me in and out of sleep. This is also a med spa. The spa is definitely on the smaller side, as only two people could have a service at a time. The relaxation lounge is lovely and comfortable, and the locker rooms are clean. The sauna was very tiny - only two people can comfortably fit in there at once. The steam room was equally as small, didn't work, and had a weird smell. The spa amenities were a bit disappointing for the steep prices. The spa services themselves were very good - everyone enjoyed their massage or facial. We were given a choice of welcome tea and a few minutes to relax in cozy room prior to our appointment. It was my birthday and everyone was sweet enough to wish me :) Our providers were soft spoken and gave us a rundown of the treatments for the day. We started off with 25 minutes in the sauna (with cool cucumber water and peppermint towels) followed by a full body dry scrub, swedish massage with focus on pain points, scalp massage, butter body wrap and finally a foot scrub, all of which took almost 2 hours. Everything was perfect although the foot scrub just included putting on sugar scrub in the feet and rubbing it off. No active scrubbing so I didn't get the point of it. The scalp massage was very gently done for a few minutes on only mid portion of the scalp, so it wasn't as thorough as I would have expected. The goodies bags were a great gift and included a dry brush, soy candles, chocolates, Viva body butter and lip balm. The check out process was slightly strange as the front staff were a little rude and we felt an immediate return to the real world after a relaxing two hours. I had a gift certificate for gratuity and had specifically inquired if it can be used for the same but the front staff said that it has to be paid separately. I asked her to check again and then she said it worked. Not sure if she was really not aware or just trying to get more money out of us. The package + gratuity was already expensive so I didn't appreciate being treated as though I was not paying enough. They do offer a 2-hour parking validation at the adjacent garage but you have to pay additional fees if treatments exceed this time limit.
