I am so glad I met Victoria when I did because I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia soon after. If you're familiar with fibro, you know it has a million symptoms and isn't easily treated with meds or anything else. Living with fibro is often hellish, and acupuncture is one of the few things that helps a number of symptoms. One thing I especially value about Victoria is that she's knowledgeable about Western medicine as well. I've had natural health practitioners who knew nothing about my meds or even encouraged me to go off them (!), but Victoria isn't like that at all. Having fibro is one of the worst things that's happened to me, and I do often feel hopeless and discouraged by the lack of treatment options. I don't know what I'd do without Victoria helping to at least settle my symptoms so I can get some peace.

What a pleasure to have a medical care provider who spends more than 10 minutes with a patient…read moregetting to KNOW her and her overall health needs instead of a rushed interview followed by prescribing a pill and moving on to the next in line! Western medicine, where practitioners are mostly focused on whichever organ the doctor specializes in while ignoring how every other body part or system interacts with it, is definitely the way to go when you already know exactly what the problem is. But when you have a multisystem disorder or something doctors can't quite identify, you need an approach that focuses on the entire body, mind, and spirit as one entity with a goal of achieving overall balance, not just patchwork. Chinese Medicine takes the "whole person" approach, which makes it the perfect complement to Western medicine for me.

I've worked with Dave Cecchini for about a year now. I had severe and chronic back pain that…read moreturned out to be linked with muscle imbalances. A tricky case. Dave was great to work with, always attentive, and together we formulated a solid plan to attack the issue. I'm about 90% today. Keep in mind a year ago I could barely stand up straight. Now I'm back to lifting weights, and enjoying an active lifestyle. One aspect of Valley Active I appreciate is that you are not part of a cattle herd. Dave (and the others at Valley Active) only work with one person at a time. So the entire time you are there (30 mins or 60 mins appointment), you have Dave's undivided attention. This situation led Dave to discovering that I had a few other things going on that were not related to my back. We worked on those as well, thus improving quality of life. The business also has started to carry a few articles for sale such as foam rollers as a convenience to clients. The quality is high, and there is never any pressure to buy. In all, I definitely recommend Valley Active. I've already suggested it to several friends. After having tried the standard physical therapy businesses I can definitely say that Valley Active is a better set up.

I had a lot of stress in my neck and lower back. I should've left when she told me the price was $50 for 30 minutes because even at a good place that is a high rate in this area for that amount of time. I didn't ask ahead of time which is my fault and she told me once I was on the table 30 minutes for $50. She knew what she was doing. Didn't even tell me the other prices and times again which I should've asked. I just said did you say only 30 minutes for $50 and she said yes I can do 30 minutes which led me to believe that was all the time she had as well.
