As a vet suffering from chronic back pain due to stenosis and (what they call) moderate arthritis and bone spurs, pain is an everyday thing for me. After numerous methodologies and procedures, I finally opted to give acupuncture a try, since the VA is paying for it anyway. They have partnered with Kathy and the Healing House as a community-based care facility, and as much as I've lambasted the system for things they've done wrong, let me tell you they finally got one RIGHT! Kathy is wonderfully gifted and experienced, and all the reviews for her are no BS jobs. Three sessions in, she listens to me and targets whatever I seem to need the most for that day. I walk in with a cane because I never know where the day takes me afterwards and I don't wanna be without it. But one day, I felt so great that I left it behind in the room and almost forgot it! Without missing a beat with a new client in the waiting room, Kathy laughed and said "That was not a paid promotion!" She is an angel and a half and, since she might not be accepting new patients for the moment, if you ever get the chance to experience her work for yourself, DO IT!!
