Angie and Justin have changed my life. I've been going to Acupuncture for Balanced Wellness for years, and I can't imagine where I would be without this team. My preference is to do chiro before acupuncture, and the office is always willing to do what they can from a scheduling perspective to accommodate my request, which brings us to our first stop, Justin! Embarrassing for me, but I've cried a few times in Justin's face because of aches and pains. Justin always takes his time to listen to my physical woes, and he goes to work to get 'em out. He uses a variety of methods from heat to stim to good 'ol chiropractic adjustments- all with a smile. I definitely feel loosey-goosey and ready to get poked, which brings me to my second stop....Angie! No matter the challenge I bring into the acupuncture room, Angie is ready to meet it. Angie also uses a variety of techniques from different laying positions to stim to heat lamps. PS Angie- where can I get one of those heat lamps for my house?? I don't think there's ever been one acupuncture session where I haven't gone into a fully meditative state. The hour long session feels like it's 5 minutes, and I always wake up feeling fully refreshed. We usually end our sessions with cupping, which has been a game changer in my physical healing journey. I genuinely don't know where I would be without these two. Every time I'm in this office I reflect on how grateful I am to have this tremendous duo in my corner. Convenient office location in the Loop. I came here for my first appointment not knowing what to expect. I had gotten acupuncture in the past, but it was a while ago, and the place was not super easy to get to. In spite of my lapsed attendance, I knew I wanted to revisit this ancient yet effective natural treatment to help address some imbalances that I have been facing. I like this location for its privacy, the ease of booking appointments, and calm, informative demeanor of the practitioner Sarah, as well as the soothing nature of the office itself. I worked with Angie as my primary acupuncturist. I went to her in January '22 for fertility acupuncture, given I am in my late 30s, had low AMH and had trouble getting pregnant. This was my first time doing acupuncture. Angie was amazing and she took the time in the first session to explain acupuncture to me and answer all my questions. I would fall asleep during 15-20 mins of the session which felt great and relaxing. I re-did my bloodwork in April and my fertility numbers improved drastically. I eventually attempted an IUI in May and got pregnant. I believe that the acupuncture sessions had a huge part to play in it. Had a couple of visits 2 years ago. The place was busy. Not too personable. After one of the sessions, I had some blood leaking out of my head from a needle, NOT a tiny amount to be clear. I don't understand how she didn't notice once taking out the needles. I had to ask the receptionist girl for something to clean the blood. Never returned after that and found a different place where the acupuncturist is more personable and isn't rushing & checks the skin after taking out the needles. read more

I come once a month for Accupuncture and i wouldnt think of going elsewhere. Angie is very knowledgeable and puts you at ease....the office is very calming and peaceful...i almost always fall asleep during a session. The session from start to finish is very nice, never feels rushed and very thorough. Ive gone to other places for accupuncture before i started here but this is where i feel the best. At 38, my husband and I struggled to get pregnant. I began seeing Angie at Acupuncture for Balanced Wellness after 2 rounds of failed ivf treatments and with a lot of fear regarding the future. I did acupuncture treatments, weekly, for 3 months as I tried to prepare my body better for the next round of ivf. For us, thankfully, that 3rd round was the charm and I'm now almost 4 months pregnant! Infertility is complex but I really do believe that acupuncture helped, even if simply to destress me during a very stressful time. Sessions were a lot more affordable than some of the other Chicago fertility acupuncture centers, making it feasible for me to go each week. Also, I continued with Angie for a total of 5 months (through my first trimester). She proactively told me that I didn't need to come during my second trimester and that I should return in the third. I was sad to see our weekly sessions end, but appreciated her honesty as it showed that she is not just doing this work for the money. I'd be remiss if I didn't provide a review for Angie. From tendonitis, muscle strains, internal organ issues, and anxiety, she has done wonders for me. Much more convenient and less invasive than "solutions" provided by Western medicine, which typically involve surgery and/or drugs with heavy side effects. I was so excited to find MAT (Muscle Activation Therapy) in Chicago that's covered by insurance! And in the Loop where I can go during lunch break! I used to pay for it out of pocket for the past few years because it's the only healing treatment that works on my stupid body and I was willing to try anything. I'd even tried rolfing, which is good too but really painful. I prefer MAT where they test my muscles and work on the weaknesses. They usually identify a weak muscle that I didn't realize was related to the original tightness I mention. A pain in my neck might be due to an issue in my foot or hip, for example. My flexibility and range of motion have always been terrible since childhood, I can't even reach my shins most days when I stretch to reach for my toes, but the improvement I've noticed most from MAT is that I injure myself far less. I used to get aches and pains or pull a muscle from simple everyday sort of movements, but MAT has made me more stable -- moving toward a normal human body. Ask for an appointment with Ralph Klisiewicz. A massage therapist had recommended MAT to me so I researched it and found Ralph's video, and now he's at the Acupuncture for Balanced Wellness office! The office is really nice too. I was impressed because some of the offices I go to in these Loop high-rises are dated and stuck in the seventies. This office was very modern though. It's clean but not sterile or unfriendly like a clinic, it's a little like a spa even. read more

I had such an amazing experience with Angie! I had a pain in my foot two weeks out from the marathon and had tried several interventions and none seemed to work. I've starting seeing Angie for acupuncture last year, mainly for chronic pain and regular migraines. Now, our sessions are part of my weekly routine! She not only has been able to minimize my migraines (they pretty much stopped once I started going often and regularly), but I find that making the time for acupuncture really allows me to rest, relax, and re-ground after a busy work week and during times when I am struggling with anxiety. Had my 1st acupuncture appointment today and loved it. I was so nervous but it didn't hurt at all. I was referred to Angie from another flight attendant. I've had lower back pain for the last few years and usually I go see a pain management doctor that administers a steroid shot. I'm looking for something more natural to heal and cure my back pain and I hope I've found it. I will see Angie in a couple of weeks but I can report that I already feel better today! The funny thing is that I had foot pain too that I didn't address with Angie today because I just wanted to fix my back and my foot pain is gone! I'm writing this review for both Angie Ng and Michael Jamlang, two acupuncturists at the 300 W Adams location. I've seen Angie off and on for the last couple of years, primarily for an elbow, finger (injuries) and back (chronic) pain. After a brief meeting at the beginning of each session to check my pain levels, she uses a mix of needles, e-stimulation, and cupping throughout the sessions to deal with my pain. She is very professional and good at what she does for a reasonable price. I usually only need to go for a few sessions before the pain subsides. I would highly recommend Angie! I've seen Michael more recently for my severe plantar fasciits pain in my foot. Like Angie, he uses a combination of needles, e-stimulation, and cupping on my foot and calf areas. He's also done some massage therapy and scraping to further reduce the pain in the foot and back areas. He's very flexible with the amount of strength he uses and adjusts his technique depending on the level and location of the pain for a given session. I would highly recommend Michael as well and hope that his availability increases at the Adams location! read more

My husband and I had been trying to conceive for almost two years. We were going to start IVF and I had heard that Acupuncture coupled with IVF increased the success.
