Dr. Jain was "running behind" and my dad's oxygen was running low so he finally left after an hour and a half of waiting and never saw the doctor. No apologies are given, no one seems to care about this inconvenience nor the intense pain my dad is in. This is completely unacceptable and I am advising my dad to find a new doctor. I do NOT recommend anyone go here. Update: a day after this review, Pinnacle called my mom and offered an option for my dad to come in and receive an injection to relieve his pain. He did a few days later and so far it is really helping. Too bad my dad suffered for eight weeks but I am very happy that he is feeling better now.

RIC truly excels in recovering mobility in the lower extremities, but I still struggle with control of my affected left arm and hand. If you're considering a recommendation for rehabilitation, I suggest starting at Advocate Medical Hospital. Dr. Lisip and an outstanding physical therapist named Lindsay are remarkable in their approach. Although Lindsay can be tough, she is also incredibly effective and compassionate. There was no eating plan , no schedule of appointments mandated, no talk of surgical options. It felt like a drive through. They wanted me in and out in 10 minutes. Premier Pain and Spine and Dr. Dasgupta have been a welcome revelation; his knowledge, willingness to try different treatments until we found ones that worked, and most importantly his commitment to understanding my injury (taking the time to read my file, look at my imaging and contacting other physicians I have worked with). This detailed approach has largely been absent in my pain treatment to date. I greatly appreciate his efforts and in 15 years of this, he has provided the first real non-narcotic relief that I have received. While this office is quite busy he always takes the necessary time to go over the plan for treatment, reviews what has worked and what hasn't and has shown great patience with my questions (as the type of patient who will show up journal-article-in-hand, this is going above-and-beyond the call of duty). I greatly appreciate PPS, Dr. Dasgupta and the rest of the personable, professional and patient medical and office staff. Dr Burke always provides ample time during office visits (instead of the 10" visits that often occur in large, impersonal settings) and was willing to try new medications and listen to our opinions. I began seeing him for stroke prevention, since strokes run on my father's side of the family. Once I had a reaction to a prescription drug interaction (prescribed by another doctor) which was not bad enough to go to the ER but very unpleasant. Dr Burke saw me on an emergency basis the next day which happened to be a Saturday, so my regular doctors were not available. His private practice is directly across from Northwestern Hospital, so patients get the advantages of a major medical center without the disadvantages of being used for practice by students and inexperienced residents. I would recommend Dr Burke for both stroke prevention and complex neurological conditions.
