Very clean, modern cute med spa!…read more I first started going to Spa Derma in Lincoln park but have moved so west loop is more convenient. I see Ashley Heinz for my Botox and she is the absolute BEST!! Not only is she very thorough, caring, welcoming, knowledgeable, patient but also just very approachable. I have seen my fair share of aestheticians at various different Med Spa's . Let me tell you, Ashley has been my absolute favorite !! She just gives you the warm and fuzzies! She's always very positive and in a great mood! She never makes you feel rushed, and she always follows up after your appointment to check in! If you're feeling nervous about getting your first Botox injections or any fillers or any medical grade products, Ashley will definitely take care of you! Love that Spa Derma always has promos also!

I had a 30-minute skin consultation with Michelle, an experienced aesthetician and laser & light specialist. She was knowledgeable, thorough, and made thoughtful recommendations, including a written out individualized AM/PM skin routine. She also discussed appropriate in-office treatments for my personal needs, concerns, and goals (such as the hydrafacial which I now have booked coming up soon)! Overall, this was great, informative experience at Spa Derma in the West Loop. I'm looking forward to my first hydrafacial with Michelle next week!

I've struggled with cystic hormonal acne and just acne in general for years. I finally got it under…read morecontrol, however, I had a lot of clogged pores and hyperpigmentation. One day, I decided to overuse a specific acne product and let's just say it didn't turn out well. Those specific spots I placed the product created a deep pitted lesion which is now classified as a "boxcar" scar. My skin was irritated, texture wasnt the best, and still had active acne. My self-esteem was torn and I needed help. I called and spoke to Lucas who wanted to help me and got me in at the earliest appointment. Upon arrival, the staff was accommodating and were so helpful, respectful, and personable. They collectively made the check-in/insurance process so easy. I met the Dermatologist and his assessment was clear, concise, and provided topical and oral medication the same day. I asked multiple meticulous questions and he elucidated educational responses. He prescribed me medication for the active and hormonal acne I had, and put me on a consistent facial basis. I noticed the biggest difference in the texture of my skin and my acne went down. As far as the lesions, they are still healing, but the deeply pitted hole I made in my skin is now a month away from being even with the rest of my skin. MIND YOU, this is just a month of treatment and I've noticed a 180. The facials were done by a marvelous woman who's in Medical School I think. She's skilled, knows her stuff, and provided excellent facials tailored to my skins needs. Overall, the staff blew me away and so did the dermatologist. I recommend this office to my family and friends and I honestly never want to go anywhere else--neither should you.

He spent two minutes did not perform any kind of evaluation just gave her a script for acne medication. When she went to the pharmacist to purchase it (and it was $90) she was told she would have to get a pre-authorization from the physician's office. She called the office and they said they would not give it to her unless she paid another $50 which is what they charge to give a pre-authorization!! This was just a money grab. So on top of the $90 prescription she was made to pay another $50 out of pocket to the office for them to do a pre-authorization! Not only was this clown dermatologist, unprofessional, dismissive, and rude, he is also a money grabber, charging to pre-authorize a prescription he actually prescribed! The "examination "which she had waited for an appointment for, took exactly 5 minutes. He did not do any kind of evaluation. He needs to be out of this business and reported to the medical licensure board. Nobody should go to him. Be warned.

Quanna knew what my hair needed even more than i did, and the cut and color i have now from her is my signature look. she's always been completely honest in product recommendations, never pushing a product on me that she didn't personally believe in. she also started using the ph bonder on my hair as soon as ulta introduced it and my hair has never looked healthier (and the color lasts so long !!). i just moved out of state so i won't be able to see her as my regular stylist and i'm heartbroken. but whenever i'm back in chicago i'm absolutely getting my hair done by Quanna. i love her so much

My hairstylist was kind, considerate, and very gentle with my hair, which I appreciated. However, since I live alone, I wasn't able to check the back of my head immediately after the haircut. Unfortunately, my partner later noticed that many of the layers in my hair weren't well blended and looked quite choppy. My advice: approach this place with caution if you're getting a more technically precise haircut.‍

Nylle and Aja are absolutely amazing!…read more Adding regular facials to your skin care routine is not only an investment in your beauty regimen but in your overall health and wellbeing. Facials are a great stress reliever; they help you to relax as I almost fell asleep during my lymphatic face massage. Facials help with premature aging; with me being over fifty it's important that I am consistent with skin care and I love a healthy, hydrating glow. Facials help improve product absorption; with the price of serums and creams constantly going up, I can't afford for anything to just be sitting on my face. I need it fully absorbed into my skin. That's how the products work. I tried counting how many steps Nylle performed while doing my facial. Between the steamer and her magic hands I would doze off. I know I was cleansed twice and there was an exfoliant applied. I do remember the ice queens with the charcoal mask because the bulbs were cold. Other than that, it's a blur. Afterwards, my skin felt amazing, plump and hydrated. I really enjoyed the blue sea kale serum which I got to keep as I upgraded to the Blue Steel Facial. Worth it. Aja at the reception desk is very welcoming and not at all pushy about getting you to sign up for a membership. They are running a 35$ facial special for a limited time. If you miss this special, go to the website. There is always a code for first timers. I will return for the recommended Zen Facial. Don't expect me to remember it. Lol.

Clean Your Dirty Face is a good option if you are looking for a no-frills, very quick facial…read moreservice. If you are a first time guest, there is a special for a $35 facial. For me, $35 is just the right price as this is not your typical luxury, spa style treatment. I was greeted quickly on arrival and taken back right on time. Service is provided while sitting in a salon style chair in an open area, so others are getting their facials done next to you. My aesthetician was nice and customized my facial to fit my skin's needs. My skin did feel plumper and more moisturized after my service. I was going on vacation the next day, so I just wanted a little glow. They have a membership which makes the facials a better deal. Personally, I won't come back too often because I prefer going to a spa for a more traditional hour long service. However, I think is a great option for those looking for decent skincare without all the frills.
