Amy - like everyone else in the area - was completely booked up on the Friday/Saturday that I was hunting for. But after she could tell I was desperate, she STAYED LATE on Saturday to squeeze me in. And it was seriously awesome. Fantastic, relaxing, thorough massage. Now we communicate about appointments via text. She contributes to the pittie rescues in the area. She lets me know when she has an opening on the weekends (to support my work schedule). She asks about my pets. She laughs at my jokes. She offers me protein shakes or water when the massage is over. She warns me before she puts on the hot stones (even though I wish she didn't, the shock is awesome). She uses Square for CC payments, which is convenient as all get out. Oh yah, she gives rockstar massages, too. I always feel like a million (super relaxed, worthless for a couple of hours) bucks after leaving her office. Sandra is by far the most phenomenal massage therapist I have ever encountered. We had be usual pre-massage consultation where we discussed what was going on for my body, my line of work, and the general "what's up?" that would help Sandra figure out where to begin. She immediately knew how to address an injury that has baffled many physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists and physical therapists. Sandra is an amazing communicator, which I find essential to a successful session. Throughout our session Sandra continued to ask very specific questions pertaining to my injury, and make connections to other facets of life, etc. I could tell she was just hell-bent on getting to the bottom of the issue. After the massage was finished, we spent a good 15 minutes going over anatomy charts where Sandra walked me through the varying muscles, ligaments and joints that were the likely culprits of my injury. We discussed next steps and created a plan of action that would see me through back to a pain-free existence. For decades I've suffered from 24/7 leg cramps of both calves. I discovered a decade ago a very firm leg massage (not foot massage) turns me from hobbling in pain to ready to run a mile and is the only thing that works. I hadn't had a massage in a long time and after 6 months the pain was disturbing my sleeping, so I visited Susie for the first time. After her work the result was: 1. an hour later the pain was gone. 2. 3 months later (with no change in routine, the pain was still gone) 3. a year later I did go back as the pain returned a bit, but considering I've gone to other massage therapists and returned a month later or walked away with no change this is a major improvement and I never expected it to be permanent. 4. after the massage I felt like she pulled my body apart and put it back together. While she was doing the leg massage she also covered my neck, head, arms, back, since all the body is connected (hint: avoid a masseuse who just does the legs or feet but nothing else) and discovered a point on my back that was really full of tension. She was right. I hadn't told her about it. She's that insightful. A month later I went back for a follow-up polarity therapy session. I never had one, but was amazed how it was the perfect follow-up to the previous work. Susie knows her stuff. She's brings a holistic approach to the bodywork. I find sports massage too clinical, so Susie is perfect with a great environment. Just one table and its just her. She's also enjoyable to just be around. For those who are modest everything is covered. I can't recommend her enough and then a bit more.
