I have had 2 massages before this experience (basic massages at other spas) and this was my least…read morefavorite. I booked stone massages for my friend and I to celebrate our birthdays. I chose this place because they had availability and had great reviews online. The two main reasons I did not like the experience is because we received the wrong massages. Instead of stone massages we received standard massages. Our masseuse was very apologetic when she realized the error while checking us out. I appreciate her confirming that because I otherwise would have thought that's just what stone massages are like. The second reason is because it was hard to relax. There are two massage rooms and the waiting room. We unfortunately could hear everything in the next room because the other masseuse talked very loudly to her patients. All this being said, the massage itself worked. I had some crazy tension in my neck/shoulders area and Brogan worked them right out! She was a professional with the massage and owning the mix-up with massage types. I really loved working with her and would still come back if she had an opening.

However, when I went to schedule a massage a few months later (and when I finally could get through to a person), I was told there were no massages that I had available. The secretary said the owner was the only one who could handle this, but she never got back to me. I tried email, telephone messages, and even direct text and calls to the owner as originally she was the one who did the initial call to determine the best type of massage and which therapist would be best, so I had her phone number. So she took my money for no services. Now, apparently, it's just the owner, Stephanie, doing massages and no one else. No one answers the phone. Disorganized. The massage therapist I had before was excellent (not Stephanie), but I can not get through to find out where she went. Stephanie was very disorganized, extremely late to the original call, and took my money(!) never getting back to me to either reimburse or let me schedule the massage. I would not go there again!

I would pick this place over a massage at the Four Seasons anyyyyyy day of the week. My ONLY small criticism is the massage face pillow was flat so it was a bit hard to breath when I was on my stomach. Other than that, parts of my body where tended to that have never been before. This place is clean, masseuses have strong hands, and an amazing attention to detail. I went for a couples massage and my SO said the same thing. We left feeling like new borns. I am sad we are not local, we'd come every month (or week) if we could. If you're in the area and looking for a relaxing, tension relieving massage - hit it up.

He begins with the traditional shiatsu diagnosis using acupressure, which tells him where my body is out of balance. Even though I've had shiatsu many times, this still seems kind of amazing: "how did he know what hurt without my telling him?" For those who have only had traditional massage, Shiatsu is different: I wear yoga clothes or light garments and the kneading, stretching, tapping, and soothing are done without oil. Ramon has a wonderful energy, that is friendly, relaxed, and peaceful. Even if I enter the studio wound-up or tense, once there, I immediately start to feel calmer and the brain static drops away. Whether or not you've tried Shiatsu before, I highly recommend that you make an appointment with Ramon.

I was greeted promptly and seated in the small waiting area to the right of the front door. I was offered a beverage but said "No, thank you." The spa was relatively quiet and comfortable. My massage therapist was Regina and she did an excellent job! She was able to provide the firm pressure I prefer, without making me feel like she was beating me up! She even extended the massage because she said I needed it - my back was in bad shape! I appreciated that she took extra time and attention to me while I was there. Before I left I went ahead and scheduled my next appointment! I've now seen Regina at least 3 times and I can say that each time has been as good as the first! She does a great job and I love how relaxed I feel after leaving! This last time I also decided to see about getting a quick bang trim and Theo was able to fit me in.
