I wanted to relax and deal with some neck pain, and after a lot of research, I landed on SOMA. They were able to fit us in on my birthday proper, and although they didn't have joint rooms for a proper couples massage, I was happy to know he was getting pampered down the hall. They were also accommodating and able to push our appointment a bit when we realized we were running late. Amy was a dream. She integrates holistic bodywork into her practice, and it was just what I needed. She was so intuitive and understood exactly what kind of pressure and strokes I needed, and I left feeling so refreshed and like I was walking on a cloud. Amy was very friendly and warm and we chatted a bit but not too much; just the perfect amount. My partner also really enjoyed his massage and felt looser and more agile. He had one of the male therapists (maybe Dominic - sorry we can't recall!). The spa lobby is quiet and serene and the massage rooms are set up for total relaxation. You can customize things like table temperature and sounds to make it the best for you. Parking is also readily available on the street. Highly recommend! If we were local I'd become a regular.

Dominic allowed me to choose a genre of music to listen to which was such a nice touch. I had never had that experience before. We chatted prior to the massage about what I was hoping to get out of the massage and certain areas I wanted to focus on. The massage itself was great and I felt so much better afterwards. As always, the time went so quickly. No complaints at all. There is some free street parking. The entrance is handicap accessible, as are the rooms and bathroom. I will definitely be coming back!

I've been a massage practitioner for over 10 years, and I have a great respect for people who care…read moreabout the work. Jessica is one of those people. As soon as she started working on me, I recognized that Thai Massage is more than a job to her, it is a craft. It is something that she actively studies, and as I later learned, has been actively studying for many years. Many therapists go to massage school for a year, then go to work, taking an occasional, often random class to learn something new. Jessica, on the other hand, consistently fine-tunes her work, works with a master to improve her abilities in Thai massage and Thai medicine. It's the difference between going to playing basketball in college for a year and then doing 7 years of pick-up games with your coworkers, vs. getting consistent coaching with a professional basketball player for 7 years straight. You get Really Good. This is a longwinded way of saying that I really respect Jessica's work, as well as her approach. Our session was both relaxing and effective. She did point-specific, deep tissue massage work in a way that was engaging, comfortable, fascinating, and peaceful. All I could think throughout the session was "How is she doing this?" and "Can I get this three times a week??" Also, she works in a really cool house that's been converted into a healing arts center. That was pretty awesome. Cheers!

I love to describe my experience with Jessica as a cross between a massage and a stretching work out - but one where I don't have to do anything! I really feel that receiving thai massage from Jessica is such a huge gift to my body, and really has helped me tune in and connect to my body, and move forward with some of my body issues. I've discovered where some of my little trouble areas are (and not so little!), and have learned a lot about how to relax more successfully. And, to top it all off, the fact that Jessica is also a yoga teacher that is able to give me customized yoga positions after knowing what exactly my body needs, is the icing on the cake. On top of all that, you can tell that Jessica truly cares about your body, and treats it in a loving, nurturing, affirming way. And is completely focused on helping you get what you need to progress into full harmony with your body & self.

Sandra is by far the most phenomenal massage therapist I have ever encountered. We had be usual pre-massage consultation where we discussed what was going on for my body, my line of work, and the general "what's up?" that would help Sandra figure out where to begin. She immediately knew how to address an injury that has baffled many physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists and physical therapists. Sandra is an amazing communicator, which I find essential to a successful session. Throughout our session Sandra continued to ask very specific questions pertaining to my injury, and make connections to other facets of life, etc. I could tell she was just hell-bent on getting to the bottom of the issue. After the massage was finished, we spent a good 15 minutes going over anatomy charts where Sandra walked me through the varying muscles, ligaments and joints that were the likely culprits of my injury. We discussed next steps and created a plan of action that would see me through back to a pain-free existence. I'm so grateful to have found Sandra and truly recommended her services to anyone looking to work through their physical restrictions (or those who just want an amazing massage).
