I got Keratin done by Emily because Vinny my usual wasn't available, and I am soooo pleased with the job she did on it!!! She flat ironed it so well. To be clear, the hairdresser has to be careful to shape the flat iron right or the bangs and sides just hang like wet noodles. Emily did my bangs and crown perfectly so that it is flat but has lift and isn't straight but flat. Listen IYKYK. And if you do, you know then this is BIG! So five stars to Emily who also has great cutting skills.

I had called a few other salons in the area for an appt first and their manner on the phone was rude, layers wasnt. They were kind and accommodating. Every time I went to layers salon, I felt like I was visiting friends. I even brought my toddler with me a few times and even though he was a little rambunctious, everyone welcomed him with open arms. When I first started getting my hair done at Layers, I had a bob, then eventually decided on a pixie cut. My desires for my hair were always heard and cuts executed amazingly. OK let me start off by saying Josh is amazing. I have dark brown/almost black hair, and I've never…read moregone lighter before. I had wanted to try balayage for such a long time, and eventually go for a more drastic blonde look, but was always too afraid it was going to look bad or not colored right to look good with my skin tone/other dark features. I found 2w Hair Bar after polling other folks in a neighborhood Facebook group about where they go for balayage and color services. Several recommended this place. And now I see why! I've been to Josh twice so far in the last 6 months or so - the first time he did an all-over hand-painted caramel balayage, which I LOVED. I've never gotten more compliments on my hair (by total strangers) than I did after I got that done. The second time, we moved on to an all-over foil and lightened it up even more. I was suuuuper scared but figured it's just hair and I could always change it if I hated it. But I loved it! A close (but very opinionated) friend of mine said I have a "blonde bombshell" look going on and I knew I made a good choice. Love the decor of this place - it's updated, on trend, bright and clean. They offer coffee/tea/water while you're getting your service done so that's a nice touch. Maybe some bubbly in the future, guys? :) It's a popular place to get hair done, so it might be a little bit of a wait to snag an appointment, but it's worth it. It's hard to find a stylist who you can trust with your hair but I'm glad I gave Josh a shot. For the past 2 years I was just going to basic salons and getting trims and wanted to spice things up. I was recommended to Tiffany. I came in that day and showed her 1-2 Pintrest photos with the simple request of "somewhere in the middle, just please make me look human again!" and she did just that. I stated I wasn't afraid to go light quickly and that I wanted a blunt cut. She not only did this exactly like I asked but explained every detail and reason she was doing what she was doing but still remained personal enough that I felt comfortable sitting in a chair for a few hours. She also educated me on how to maintain and keep my hair looking great. I walked out of the salon feeling the best I have in MONTHS! I have gotten non-stop compliments. I am beyond satisfied with this salon and highly recommend Tiffany for all coloring!

At the beginning she asked if I wanted lashes, and I agreed. Towards the end of my appointment, she handed me the mirror to check on my makeup. I pointed out a few things, which she fixed and at that point, I was happy. When I went to pay, my artist mentioned to the person at the desk the lashes. And when they stated the price, it was $20 higher than I was originally anticipating per the pricing online. They asked if I wanted a receipt, I said yes to check it but they only handed me the credit card slip. I asked for the itemized receipt and the lashes were an extra $20. At no point did the makeup artist mention the up charge and I was a little taken aback. A friend of mine came in after and I mentioned the lashes to her and she opted out of them. I was frustrated as I literally had lashes in my purse while sitting in the makeup chair. I wish I had the option to pay the extra fee instead of not being warned. I mentioned I didn't get my makeup done often so this wasn't something I was expecting and it wasn't listed on their website that lashes were extra when booking. I was really disappointed as I felt like it was done secretive instead of being open with clients.
