The barbers all use air compressors and clean their clippers, so I'm never worried about someone else's hair getting on me. Came here while traveling desperate for a haircut. They only take appointment but if you call, they might be able to accommodate you for a walk-in if you're close. I was 10 minutes away when I called. My barber was Goose. He was really fun to talk to and nice and gave one of the best high fades. It was 30$ and he threw in a wash and shampoo and was careful to not get hair on my shirt cuz I told him I was going back out and didn't want to have hair all over me. He did a great job at that too so I just gave him 40 because it was cash only and I took out 40$ from the ATM and didn't want change but also he probably deserved it paying attention to my above requests. read more

They blow away the cut hair with an commercial grade c02 powered blow dryer. It looks like a car tire pump. It's their signature move. I took my son in to take a cut. My sons hair was down past his shoulders. Mid back. First thing I said to him, we've been growing his hair for a couple years, we want to keep the length, just want you to trim it, and style it. I showed him a picture of Jon Snow, with his hair up to his shoulders. for NO REASON ...HE CUT OFF ALL MY SON'S HAIR. I was sitting down, I said your cutting it too short. He ignored me, I told him 4 times he chopped off the whole ponytail. He didnt use the comb to cut , he just took the scissors and cut chunks of hair out his head. It was all chopped and uneven, long pieces of hair, crooked, no shape. For NO REASON. I almost lost my mind. I paid him and I hope that money infects the rest of the money going in his pocket. DO NOT GO TO THIS BARBERSHOP. For NO REASON this man decided to do this to my son and I think its because he thought we were white and he didnt understand a single word I said . He nodded his head like he understand and listen, he just chopped my sons hair off in spite because of racism. Because HE didn't understand me instead of saying he didnt understand or asking the guy in the back who WAS speaking English BEFORE this happened, he decided to chop up my sons hair and make him look so ugly. This is the best barbershop I would recommend in Brooklyn New York. I've been going here since they opened in 1998. I have seen this shop grow from a small shop to a new renovated great looking shop. Been looking for a barber for some time now and I I went to this place for the first time and only time for a "trim" It was a Sunday and quiet, but not even a "hello" when I walked-in Anyway once I sat in the chair I was very specific with what I wanted "Just a trim, make it neat, square back, shorter on the sides longer on the top" I wear my hair long enough that you don't see any scalp and long enough to grab at least on the top The guy I assume is named "Moyeto" because it was scrawled on the mirror asked me, "What "number?" I said use a number "5" referring to the clippers. Normally when I'm asked this question the barber starts by using the clippers on along the sides/temples. But this IDIOT started by raking the clipper across the top of my head! I immediately pulled back and yelled "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" and he responded " you said number 5" and I said 'THAT FOR THE SIDES AND BACK NOT THE TOP" "WHY WOULDN'T YOU USE SCISSORS ON THE TOP LIKE YOU DID WITH THE GUY BEFORE ME? I didn't even bother to let him answer I just "Just make it neat" I sat there fuming in silence with the nastiest scowl on my face that he turned away from the mirror. He finished and showed me the back of my head and I responded with "Why bother" and he said "it looks natural" He left me looking like Matt Lauer and I hate a Cesar-style hair cut So I paid the cost of the hair cut, (NO TIP of course) and left without saying another word Needless to say I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THERE AGAIN! Honestly I did not see a barber's license for this person and I really doubt he is a trained barber.
