Came in for my wedding beard clean up (I have long hair so that was just going to he done up, not cut) and got there at about 10:30 am, only 3 guys were cutting hair and 3 guys were ahead of me. I could tell it was a relaxed vibe with some oldies playing even though the guys were all young. I enjoyed the scene and didn't mind waiting the projected 30 min for my turn. There was the typical inter-barber banter and customer chit chat but it didn't seem to make the cuts take that much longer. It was finally my turn and I got Juan... this guy is Legit! After some questions and inquiries as to what I was looking for, we finally came to an accord and he got started. SOOOO glad I came here and got this guy. With such a big night ahead of me and needing to look my best, I tried searching on Yelp for places but the valley isn't big on yelping and or these business haven't put themselves in Yelp to help their business get found. Luckily I found this place which is right next to the carousel in the Imperial Valley Mall. Juan was precise, careful and helpful in his advice! This place has got to be the worst place ever. Everyone here has a terrible attitude. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and there were only three people ahead of us. There were three barbers and we waited for over 45 min to get a haircut. We were greeted by the Hispanic guy, about 200 pounds guy with glasses. My boyfriend asked for a buzz cut, POLITELY. The guy then asked him" what is that?" Then my boyfriend told him that it's like a number one. And he responded, " well you should've said that". That guy charged him 40$ for a 10 min cut. My boyfriend didn't tell me this until after wards but the barber was pressing his clipper on my bfs head. His head is all red from that. He obviously hates his job. But he didn't have to treat his customers so badly. Don't being your children here, they'll prob shave their head off. Still, my bf gave him a 10$ tip. Because he's a nice person. read more

Honesty is key to have recurring clientele in any business. I don't mind paying extra if the hair cut is as requested but being overcharge without even telling the customer is just telling the customer not to comeback. Please do not advertise your price and later charge more. This is just discouraging for the customer. read more

I understand the bad reviews for people waiting I had to once and it was frustrating. I now text the barber I like and make an appointment and I don't wait! I get my hair cut with Matt. He is brilliant. Great at his job and very personable. Been a few times now and he never disappoints. I went to quite a few places around the valley and this place is the best no question in my mind. It is definitely more pricey than anywhere else especially if you cross the border for hair cuts like I have in the past. I don't mind paying the extra here. They are not in the food court anymore. They have moved to across J.C. Penny. More chairs have been added so the wait is shorter now. Waited less than five minutes on monday afternoon. The price was more than I expected. Other places like smiles and styles are cheaper. The haircut was done how I requested but I dont think it is worth the price. Horrible service, after being a customer for years I went in today and the manager had zero interest in losing a customer. We signed in and were told it would be 20 minutes, we return after 30 minutes and the manger told us it would be 25 more minutes. When I asked why, she said she just got there and didn't know. After I said to take us off she did not care one bit. I get it, you have succeeded but the fact that you blatantly disregard a loyal customer like it's nothing, that is what makes you loose customers who were loyal since day one. This review is based solely on a phone call because we were unable to find the business. We walked around the mall looking for is and checked the mall directories which didn't list this business. After we left I called and asked where they were located. They told me by the merry go round and I related that they were not listed on the directory. He said ma'am we have no control of that. When I began to tell him it would help people find his business and they could go to the mall office to fix it. He yelled at me that they were by the carousel and hung up on me. Took our 20 month old son to get a hair cut here and we were ignored. Bad customer service. When we walked in no one greeted us, my husband had to ask if they had time for one more. (It was around 7:45ish p.m.) One guy said "yes, the guy (another guy cutting a child's hair) over there will take care of you." That guy didn't even acknowledge us. We waited patiently. We got tired of waiting, listening to one barber talk to his customer and watching the other barber cut, cut some more, and more hair from a child. I felt they were taking their time to avoid having to cut a toddler's hair. As soon as we left another barber magically appeared from the back and started cutting someone's hair. Reaaaally like this place! No one else really knows how to cut my sons hair. Oscar is honestly the only one who knows how to work with my sons crazy hair. The price is good for the work he does. I've been coming to this barbershop since they opened and they always do good work I have my go to barbers but neither of them were at the shop. Since I needed a cut a guy named Chunks cut my hair and he messed me up leaving long hairs throughout my head and messing up my entire line up. I do recommend the barbershop but I do no recommend the barber chunks. read more

Jay or J or Je? was our barber for my sweet but terrible 2year old and I have to say our 1st experience at an actual barber shop went Great. J was very upbeat and listened to everything I asked. I'm very picky when it comes to my sons hair so I asked for a very distinct look while trying to keep it looking as natural as possible. J listened, took his time and was even able to calm my son down and make him laugh. I'm so happy with my sons cut (faux hawk) and am happy to say I won't have to travel 2 hours away to Pigtails and Crewcuts anymore. I look forward to having him continue to do my sons hair in the future. Only thing I'd knock a star off was that their ATM machine was down so had to leave and come back to actually pay. My husband and my 3 yr old went for haircuts. We appreciated that they got taken in right away. They had really good haircuts and they spent a lot of time on them but they used pretty foul language while we were in there. There were other kids in there as well and we are actually pretty laid back parents but it is a place of business and the language should be cleaned up, at least while kids are present. read more

will never come here again they have the the worst customer service, i wrote my name down on a list they have in the front counter. the barber that was suppose to cut my hair only had one person waiting for him so when it was my turn he said "o sorry some one else is up before you'' but they were not in the list so i let it slide and waited another 20 minutes, so when he was done he said sorry one more it was a little kid and i guess they had been waiting outside the barber shop, but none of does people wrote there name in the list i guess that list doesn't mean shit and they do not follow the rules the way i see it they cut there buddies hair first and then walk ins. So i just stood up and told the guy you know what ill just go somewhere else and the barber said'' are you sure bro your next '' and i was like bro you skipped me twice you dont follow the list ill just take my business somewhere else.
