Both times I was here this place was packed- us and each and every hairstylist had one client. This salon is kind of small but very homey. Most importantly it is very clean and sanitized. I booked my highlight, lowlight and kariten treatment with Adriana four days after my consultation. I usually have extensions in and prior to coming here I had very damaged bleached hair. I was here for six hours but my hair has never looked so good. I spend over 50% less of what I usually spend in the hair salons in LA. The staffs here are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I have long hair but not mermaid long hair, and even thru bleaching and highlights I manage to keep my length, she takes care of my hair. If I want to go light she'll make my hair light, but in phases so it doesn't dry out or damage to much. Most places don't do that or care enough to think about that. A round brush was not used at any point my hair was washed and blow dried using hands, and a paddle brush was only used for my curtain bangs. A flat iron was later used to curl my hair. While it looked fine, a true blow out usually gives a very different feel and finish, so I was a little bummed, especially for the $60 price. This was my first time having a blow out done this way, I wasn't sure if this is standard here or just a difference in technique. For future lesson learned on my part, I'll be sure to confirm the styling method beforehand. In addition, the salon's cleanliness was disappointing. My appointment was early in the morning around 9:00 a.m. there were dead flies on the window ledge and hair left behind in the space. I would have expected the salon to be thoroughly cleaned either at closing or before opening. I'm mentioning this in hopes the owner can address it and remind staff how important it is to maintain a clean environment. We all clean our homes everyday right.
