Sooo, After getting my Do done at David Magna's Studio for some time, they were really great but pricey and to reduce the insanity of vanity, I decided to scale back on my head whack.
Headfeathers in my mind, is a GREAT find, if yer lookin' fer a quality cut, some great local flavor at a reasonable price, with service that's authentic. I say now , I say I say this is a find because rather than do a lot of adverts, they pass the considerable cost savings onto their cash conscious customers. Word of mouth' is how I found out, as yer loyal Yelp elite scout!
Headfeathers is a hybrid old skool barber shopee for the manly men and beauty salon for the girly folk, complete with those 1950s hairdo domes. Stroll 'round downtown Napa, grab a newspaper and listen or engage in the local banter and be greeted and treated like you are Sumbody, jest like the do in the movies!
Rick cut my wild and crazy hair with no despair and has taken me in on short notice several times on a hit and run notice. Rick know's what he's hairdoin' and the price for a full wash & tune up was very pocket possible. (Jest the fact that I remebered his name is remarkable!) Due to some unfortunate events of the past, I know my hair is not so easy to cut and each time it's all been good the day after and beyond, which is the real telltale, as everybody looks good leaving - but what about the next day and the next day and the day after that!
Headfeathers is right next to the newly refurbished Art Deco era Uptown Theater- a downtown relic that has had a recent major face lift thanks to local land baron George Altamura's gobs of green generosity and is just a few streets up from the new swanky Napa Riverwalk area! The Uptown is now only for music venues and Headfeathers shares a common back door patio that the Starz' and locals schmooze at, on big act nights. (Over the years Headfeathers has hosted Jazz and Wine on the patio in the summer series sort of a kickback chiller layout with a garden setting of vine covered old brick walls and open air seating as a backdrop to the back of Napa's picturesque brick historic Post Office building- Alrighty, it LOOKS better than it sounds).
Headfeathers is obviously a Kewl, locally flavored house of hair that has long provided movers and shakers, regular folk and all, high quality with low cost scissor wizardry, it's a winner! Yelp -diggity! read more
