Booked a appointment with Daniel D for my son and I at 8am. We arrived 10 minutes before our appointment time and patiently waited. About 8:15 one of the barbers asked if we had a appointment and we said yes, with Daniel..The barber walked outside and called Daniel but no answer. We waited untill 845am and the same gentleman called Daniel again and no answer! It was a ver important day for my son and I. We were let down and upset with Daniel's professionalism. In desperate need of a haircut, I stumbled upon this shop after looking through other potential shops nearby. This was the only one that was open and had available appointments. Since I'm not from Napa, the drive was 45 minutes from my place. I easily booked my appt through their website. Once in the shop, I was met by the Owner who kindly greeted and welcomed me into his shop. My barber, Victor was ready for me almost immediately. He asked me what I wanted and quickly went to work. He was precise, on point, and for the most quiet so not much conversation but I didn't mind since he was clearly focused. He did exactly what I asked for and took his time. The finish was a relaxing hot towel along with a lather & straight razor shave. At the end, the cost was reasonable and added a $20 tip for all the work he put into it. I'd definitely come back and get a cut with Victor again. I'll also mention that the vibe reminded me of hanging out with the boys just talking and laughing. I showed up 5 minutes early for a scheduled 3:00 PM haircut and beard trim. At 3:00, the barber texted me to let me know he was running a little late. I replied it was not a problem and asked what time he would get there. No reply. One of the other barbers said I could have my hair done by the "stylist." I go to a barber to get my hair cut, not styled. After 20 minutes I left. At 3:35 I get another text from the barber letting me know he won't be able to make it. If you're only going to take scheduled appointments, you need to honor them. And if you stand up a customer like that, have decency to at least offer a simple apology. UPDATE: The owner sent me a message weeks after this event. He underestimated the time I waited (really, 20 minutes is not acceptable). He ignored the fact that his barber sent me an insulting text. A prompt apology would have been well received. Instead, the poor customer service was perpetuated. I offer a simple suggestion to improve your customer service: offer an apology, and don't insult or otherwise demean the customer you served badly. read more

This is a long overdue review since I have been coming here regularly for quite sometime now. With everything that has been going on in this crazy year I think we all need to do everything possible to help out small business owners since there has been a lot of places that have been forced to close due to Covid. Mario (the owner) is who I get my hair cut by on a regular basis and he is professional, compationate and genuinly cares about making sure that all of his clients and all of the other clients are well taken care of. Seeing as I get my hair cut almost every week I am there to witness and see the way guests enter and leave the shop and one thing that I can say for certain is that all of the clients that I have seen walk out do so with a smile on their face and a fresh looking hair cut. All of the barbers that are in their are extremely talented and it's fascinating to watch the way they all interact with their guests and let their personality shine. Mario being the first person you see on the way in is always extremely hospitable and quick to greet you and make you feel comfortable while letting you know that your barber will be right with you and about how long it will be until they are ready. Timing for most things in life is what separates the good from the great and I can tell you from hundreds of haircuts with Mario is that he is always punctual with his timing, not only on starting your hair cut on your scheduled time but also on how long he takes on your hair cut. I have been to a number of different barber shops and my absolute favorite thing about this barber shop is that you never feel like you're being rushed so that can start the cut on the next person and that comes mainly from their main goal of giving everyone the highest quality cut and experience possible. There is nothing worse than sitting in the barber chair and feeling like they are rushing your hair cut to start the next person but that is not something you would ever experience unless of course YOU show up late your YOUR scheduled appointment. Now with that being said the only thing I would advise is to book your appointments early because these guys are talented and precise with their cuts so they book up fast. read more

This is a little late coming but not leaving a stellar review would be just wrong. I made an hour's drive and it ended up being well worth the effort and did it again just to see Mario. Once you walk into the shop they make you feel at home and like you've been a life long customer. All the staff are super friendly. It is a very positive environment inside and holistic. These guys are true craftsmen in their art. Mario has been cutting my hair and he's always on point. His clipper work and straight razor work is phenomenal. He cuts your hair like you are a MVP. Mario is a great barber. Given things are closed in my county due to Covid, I drove 45 min to get a long needed cut. I saw the couple less than stellar reviews, but from the sounds of them, I could tell these sounded like problem people, and it was not a true reflection of the shop. As a small business owner, I also know that people can be totally unreasonable. I am so glad I disregarded those reviews and instead relied on the vast majority of good ones. Haircut was spot on, and Mario has a great shop. He was super professional and I would highly recommend this spot to friends and family.
