I've seen Urban Cuts 390 more than a few times. I've been meaning to do this a long time. Today is the day, I get a Cut from a new and different Barbershop. A Cut here is only $40, not too shabby compared to some others out there. Scheduling a Booking here was so easy. I was here this evening. They were professional, courteous, and I really liked how they took their time to make sure I got the right Cut. And that's what I got, the right Cut. I'm satisfied. Great barber shop! My wife gifted me a gift certificate for Christmas. She accidentally went to Urban Cuts 390, thinking that she was where I get my haircuts. It was a very fortunate mistake. I made an appointment with Vada and he did not disappoint! He is very professional, precise and has a natural talent to 'see' his creativity before he begins. I definitely got the best cut I've ever had! I can't remember a time where I actually felt uplifted from a haircut. The shop has several barbers and it has a lively and very cool vibe to it. Owner seems like a great dude and the cuts I had were decent for the price. However, the service or lack of is glaring with this place. Either be a walk in barbershop or do appointments, you cannot half ass both of these methods. The "kids" they have working here will begin to realize customer service is critical to be successful. If you want to cut your friends hair and take tiktok videos of it, do that shit after hours. Well worth the drive from Oakland to Napa!!! Since Covid my finance's hair was starting to looking crazy. A friend of mine recommended Urban Cuts after taking her son a few times. We took the drive out to Napa with our daughter on a Saturday afternoon but we were late due to traffic. Now most places we've been to would have made us reschedule but they were super understanding. The shop was really nice to say the least, clean and organized with a variety of products. It was a quick cut which was nice cause again we had our 2 year old with us. The owner cut his hair and then told us about a few restaurants that had opened up in the area so we were able to enjoy Napa after. We'll be back!!!!!!! read more

I used to float around barbershops looking to find the best one out there and after I came to Urban Cuts i never went to another barbershop again ! Been going to this shop for 5 years and counting ! I was really happy with my kids cuts from when they were at their previous location. They moved so we decided to check out the new spot. It's busy so call ahead and see what the line is like. All the guys were cutting hair and basic shop talk. Only heard a few bad words which does matter since I was getting my kids cuts. Anyway, Noel did the cuts on my kids. He's got skills and he's fast he didn't style their hair (no gel or anything hence the four star). My son's fade was so impressive I've had two adult men ask who did it and they were going to copy. Today I drove all the way from Fairfield just to get my nephew a haircut because urban cuts was the only place that said they would take us. Tomorrow is picture day. I called all the barbers in my area of Fairfield and Napa shops that are open later than urban cuts. I took my chances and called even tho they were closing in 30 mins. Josh answers the phone and without hesitation said come on in. The place is clean and all the barbers are friendly. They even continued to take people after they were closed that walked in. Start with the good - the cuts are way above average for the area. I am from NYC, Washington Heights, and am used to excellent cuts. It has been impossible to get a good fade in the bay area. I moved to Napa and was thoroughly impressed with my first cut here and watching others cut too. Now the bad - customer service or rather lack of service is awful. While I was there (for nearly 2 hours), there were 3 available barbers that just weren't cutting hair at all. There were 3 barbers cutting but 2 of the barbers were cutting each others hair (while customers were waiting). There clearly was no sense of dedication to customers. Now I am not one that feels that the customer is always right or even the customer above all things, but in a transactional service business the customer should be made to feel that they matter. That does not exist here! I gave 2 stars for the product (great fades) and took away 3 stars for the lack of service. A haircut is just as much of a product as it is a service. Maybe these youngins just need a little more business experience. read more

I called and made an appointment for 2PM to get my haircut cause i had to make a trip up middle town today to see my sick grandfather and needed 2 be there b4 5pm, & a 2pm haircut and hour drive to middle town leaves me at least an hour to spare right? Well i guess not, for one when I got there & told them i had an appointment everyone just stared at me like no one remembers me calling, ok great... so I sit there from 2PM to 3pm while one of the barbers finishes his first customer and then sits and plays on his phone for 20 min then some dude walks in and sits right down and gets his cutt in front of me, but i'm an easy going dude so I let it slide, once 3 hits one guy says hey man I'm gonna need to get some food then I can cut your hair so I go okay I'll just come back in an hour, he says okay, so when I come back he says he has another dude he has to finish first and then he can get to me, by this time its 4:15pm and I've been trying to get my haircut since 2PM and my phone is at 2 percent so I ask the dude if I can sit in my car and charge my phone and if he can knock on my window when I can get my cutt and he says okay, so from 4:15 to 5Pm now iv even sitting in my car and it's my buddy's birthday so I want to give him some fire weed I have as a gift so I run home since i have no other choice and I only live like 3 mins away and go as fast as I can cause I dont want to lose my place in line for my cutt since I've already been there for 3 hours. I'm waiting patiently in my car and my buddy hops in & i wish him a happy birthday and give him his bag of weed and next thing you know the guy who owns the shop has the audacity to walk out of the shop to my car where I'm parked on the public street and I roll down the window expecting him to finally say it's my turn to get my cutt but instead he bitches me out for giving my friend his bday weed and says "hey man I don't respect you selling weed in front of my shop I got kids that come here and it's not a good look" for one like weed is even illegal anymore and two it's none of his business what I'm doing in my car when I've been waiting 3 hours patiently for a haircut from him and was planning on giving him 40$ like I usually do for a 26$ haircut. Like I would have gave him the weed somewhere else if I thought it was a big deal but I couldn't cause I had to wait for my damn haircut for 3 years and didn't want to lose my spot! This is actually not the first time this long wait situation has happened either. So he walks in and I can tell he feels cool for calling me out in front of the whole barber shop. At that point my boy is just in shock that the dude walked up and said that over weed when it's legal to Have if your over the age of 21. Funny part is you know he woudlnt have said shit if it were a bottle of Hennessy! Anyways at this point I just leave. If you aren't friends with one of the dudes that works here dont brother coming. My husband took three of my four boys for haircuts here last week, huge mistake. I was there and even asked the guy cutting my husbands hair to fix it at the end bc it looked awful. All four of them got the worst haircuts they have ever gotten. My boys like to style their hair and have stylish cuts, but what they got was uneven, horrible fading, bowl cuts. Why have appointment times if im not getting my cut anytime around my appointment time....there should be a first come, first serve process to stop any kind of confusion. Moved to Napa 3 weeks ago and was wondering if I would find a Barbershop like what I have in San Francisco. I went to this other shop in Downtown, Korean lady messed up my fade and then slap the shit out of me (after shave) after she was done. I almost flashed on her. Came to this is shop and and Leo Vee hooked it up. 3rd person to get my front line right for his first time. Took his time with my fade. Overall it's a decent place. Never had a bad haircut there. Biggest downside is the wait time. Never been in and out in under an hour and a half. Once had an appointment at 3:00 and I didn't even get my haircut until 4:00. It's worth it if you can stick out the wait though. read more
