Very disappointed in this escape room. We were unable to unlock the last lock because the wrong key was placed in the room. The worker was nice enough to try to figure things out, but we were left waiting around for a while and it felt so incomplete. We weren't able to finish the room and ended up using a broom stick to detonate the tnt... the room was lack luster and didn't even have the effects at the very end like the worker had told us it would. We spent $150 in which included gratuity??? I've never had or was ever asked to tip at any other escape room, but regardless I felt like for that price and what happened we should get some money back. The owner or boss said no and to give us 50% off next time... as if i'd spend $75 for that. That's insane! I would have even accepted a free escape room! Do better. read more

Extremely disappointed with my experience at HD escape rooms in Westminster. I booked a room online on June 14th when I booked there were 8 spots available for the 4:00pm time. I was under the impression, (just like most of the people in the review section) that this was booked by groups and not open for other people joining our group. When we arrived at 3:45pm, 15 mins before our scheduled time SAVANNA told us we had to reschedule our already booked room for 5:20pm because a family walked in 5 mins before and they kicked us off our already scheduled time. I am confused why allow people to book online and accommodate to walk in over RESERVATIONS. Savanna was very rude and had a lot of attitude towards us, when we asked if we could have our own room for our rescheduled time at 5:20pm she said we had to pay extra even though the group that stole our scheduled room at 4:00pm did not pay for a "private section" when we asked why, she gave us attitude and told us "they got dibs because they got here first". The website does not state this is a "first come first serve" establishment, I read through the waiver and everything that was displayed at the moment of booking and none of this was mentioned at all. We later arrived at 4:40pm for our rescheduled time and Britney greeted us and was very polite and she even apologized for what happened. I appreciate Britney trying to smooth things over and guiding us through the escape room. I genuinely had a fun time during the activity but Savanna's attitude and being forced to reschedule our reservation tainted our entire experience. Britney did a great job and it seemed to be the only employee present that afternoon with multiple groups in the lobby. I appreciate Britney's hard work. I want to add as well going through the reviews after this experience, I see this is a reoccurring problem and I am disappointed with how rude the owners have been responding to other customers, this establishment lacks professionalism. read more

We purchased a Groupon for 4 people. We called a couple of days prior to inquire if we could add another person to our group the day of our escape room. We were told that would be just fine. When we arrived, I was told their card machine was "down", so she had to put in my card number manually and never offered me a receipt. After checking my acct. later that evening, I found out I was charged $150+ for ONE ticket. When I called to question, I was told that I needed to email them with the complaint. I will say, I received a quick response from the owner/manager. As for the escape room itself, it was ok. There was a lot to technological issues, which unfortunately slowed our time down quite a bit. Overall, for the price, I think there are far better escape rooms. read more

We booked for Wizarding World experience for 4 ahead of time and paid the charges. We had one person join us that evening. When we left, they noticed they were recharged for a full five people. When calling to assist with the charge, the response was to send an email. While we enjoyed the escape room for the most part, it took several minutes to get assistance for clues. Not to mention, a glitch in technology toward the end which ended in frustration. read more

We did the mineshaft room. We got stuck in our room since we couldn't find one piece. The first clue we received was a bit confusing because it didn't match up with the puzzle we were solving. Overall the room was decorated well and they had a good introduction video. read more

We experienced the dinosaur room. Kind of a bummer for us as the room is really dark nearly the entire time. Anyone with vision issues, this may not be the room for you. We also got a flashlight at one point but the battery was out. We weren't sure if that was a part of the room or not, but it wasn't. We just couldn't see for half the time. The inside is decorated really well, and it is a fun experience for sure. The staff was nice. I'd go back but I would do a different room option. We did escape, so that felt accomplishing! read more

My wife and I have done 50+ escape rooms all over the country. This one was hands down the worst. First off it was also the most expensive at $100+ for both of us. Then the room itself was just worn down and broken. Terrible. The front desk girl was the only star. She was 5 star. The room 0 star. read more

Absolute trash company. I bought a Groupon for an experience here. when I called to book the experience I was told I had to give them a credit card and pay additional fees for booking and tip....Uh...no! I exchanged the groupon for a better experience. Don't bother here. read more

We got stuck with this escape room because of a Groupon deal we bought without researching. Which doesn't tell you there's still an additional fee you have to pay to book, making the Groupon useless. Production quality 2/5 Some of the props didn't even work, we deduced our way through. Our game master apologized at the end for it not working, making us miss a clue. The size of this escape room 1/3 of the size of most others. Creativity 0/5 The storyline made no sense and the props didn't seem to fit the theme. Puzzle quality 0/5 Had the least amount of puzzles and locks than any escape room I've ever done. Game master 4/5 Very friendly. Did not give the best hint because he didn't realize the prop wasn't working until the end. Overall the worst and waste of money. They also put you with other people unless you pay extra. read more

So much fun!!!! The room was challenging but only enough to keep us from being frustrated like most escape rooms! We just made it out! Staff was amazing! We can't wait to come back! read more

DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON, and ROOMS ARE NOT PRIVATE. I bought the Groupon for 2 but I still had to pay an extra $17 upon booking. Also the rooms are not private unless you pay extra so we had to share the room with random strangers. We did sector 13 and managed to escape somehow despite several of the puzzles not working. The room is small and lacked much creativity in terms of the puzzles despite being one of their harder rooms. Look elsewhere, there are so many other better options in Denver. read more

Great location near some local eats. Went with my family and had two entirely different experiences with the same room. Jordan was our host and was very kind helping us finish the challenge when our time (daughter and I) had expired. Wife and son made it out in half the time limit! read more

Awesome and beautiful Wizarding world escape room! Game master T briefed us well and ready for our trip thru magical fun!!!

Wuzarding World was super immersive and visually impressive. Loved the puzzles and had heaps of fun! T was great gamemaster.

Facility is good, but HD Escape Rooms booking process is semi-fraudulent. There is a mandatory "gratuity" charge of $5.40 (18%) per person, added to the bill. By definition gratuity is "something given voluntarily or beyond obligation". If you need additional capital for "increasing Colorado wages", raise your prices. Gamemasters are NOT paid a tipped wage! Putting an additional fee on the back end is jacked up. read more

I will start by giving them credit for having good set design. And that's about it. To start off the experience, we were charged over $30 for gratuity (with no choice to decline that we saw) before we even got there. I like to tip on how well the service actually is, not be forced to pay it before they even meet me. Maybe they do this because they know that the service will be terrible and they want to secure the money. The girl who was running the desk barely greeted us and gave us a very short talk about the types of locks in the room then put us in the room without any backstory or attempt to make it fun and exciting. Once in the room we noticed she took 15 minutes off our time for not showing up 15 minutes early. I know that we didn't get there with the whole time but we had 5 minutes, which was plenty of time to fill out waivers. She didn't mention being in a hurry to get us in so we could have all of our time. Just let us linger in the hallway till 10 minutes in. When I asked her to at least give us 5 of our minutes back since that would be the time minus the 19 minutes she left us in the hall, she argued but said she'd adjust it when she left. She gave us 1 minute. Once we got going, things seemed fine. We've done a lot of escape rooms with many different companies and this one had pretty good decorations. But when we pressed the button for a hint, it wasn't even her who came on to guide us. It was all automated. So now we are extra upset that our tip went to someone who isn't even helping. The final puzzle led to an event that left us wondering if we were actually done. The throne in the room was clearly a part of it but we hadn't used it. When asked she said it was nothing. When you go on YouTube you will see that is not true. She barely said anything after we finished with 10 minutes left and didn't even offer to have us use the signs to take a celebratory picture. She took a pic on our phone but no signs offered even though we saw them on the floor behind her. She needs to not be in charge of a place that should be fun and entertaining. She took all of our joy out of the experience. Would definitely never go back or recommend! read more

The escape room I did was not properly set up. The TV on which you receive clues from was frozen twice during our game. We were unable to receive clues because of this. read more

Went Saturday with the fam, our game master Max was amazing! Thank you for accommodating me and my medical needs so i could enjoy the room safely and my family could still have fun! Seriously, so respectful, accommodating and being super amazing! Max needs a raise, his service and knowledge of the ADA made my experience so positive and seamless with my Service Dog. If Icould give a higher rating, I sure would. HD Escape Room is a wonderful experience! The staff there are super friendly, encouraging, welcoming, helpful, supportive and kind. I took my group of adults with disabilities to HD Escape Rooms in Wesminister and the compassion Zak and Josh showed my group was top notch. They were happy to open their doors to my group, include them and allow each of them to feel powerful and limitless. We were able to do two rooms (Wizarding World and Jurassic) and both rooms were challenging, exciting, creative and thrilling. I highly recommend these escape rooms to everyone and my group and I cannot wait to go back to try to escape again. read more

my group & i arrived and were told that we would be in the escape room with another group which was miscommunication on our part because i didn't schedule a private room. so we rescheduled at the front desk and the employee understood. we go back two days later and the same issue happened again. we asked for a refund and i was told i had to email the manager and he has not responded for more than two weeks now. read more

don't waste your money. let me start by saying my best friend put in a review and they deleted it. my bff and i do an escape room every week, we've done upwards of 100 escape rooms and are not at an amateur level. despite the fact that HD escape has insanely hard rooms with little to no guidance in the rooms such as things to help you solve the next steps in a puzzle, the game master we encountered was extremely condescending. we called in advance because we weren't able to book the room online and she told us we could still book. when we got there she let us know that she's going to have to deduct 10 minutes off our time because we showed up at 7:03 instead of 7:00. wish she would have told us on the phone before we got there. after deciding we still would do the room because we made the drive, she continued to charge us almost 20$ in "gratuity fees" on top of the fee to do the room. after we unsuccessfully finished the room she came in the room and rolled her eyes after i expressed that it wasn't necessary for us to know how the puzzles worked. do not come here if you're looking to have a good time or be shown an ounce of courtesy. try out puzzle effect off 120th instead if you're looking to do a room. read more
