Overall, the terrain was a little more advanced but had a few short trails for beginners. Several long blue runs and a few groomed black runs in addition to many more difficult mogul black runs. Lots of glades areas if that is your cup of tea. The resort was big enough that you had plenty to explore for a few days and also if you went with a group it wasn't so huge that it was impossible to meet up or find friends if you took an accidental detour. We opted for a package and it was reasonable. We chose to stay at the golf cottages which were perfect for our group, and could get around the resort with their shuttle system. There was a movie theater, bowling alley, climbing wall, mini golf as well as general store, bars and restaurants on site. If you buy a package some of the activities might be included in your price. If you want to eat off site there are a few restaurants about 15 minutes away. It was nice that they had so many things to do because this resort is in a pretty remote area and there isn't a ton around in the near vicinity.

Skiing at Jay's was an experience. The groomers were all…read morepretty rough, with barely any parts actually groomed. Did not enjoy any of them at all. The top half of the mountain was all just a tiny powder on top of ice . The ice gets shaved throughout the day to build up the powder that then gets slapped into something akin to moguls throughout the slopes. Talking to people on the lifts made it very clear that the focus of skiing here is on the glades and not the groomers. Unfortunately my lack of experience made it rather tough to enjoy that. It also wasn't until midday on our second day that we finally discovered some more beginner friendly glades. We ended up being able to enjoy the moons and the bushwacker path. The layout of the lodge is also strange. It feels cramped and crowded even though there werent too many people there. All the lifts feel far too slow as well. A wind cover at the least would be highly appreciated considering how long the ride up is. The misc Ramen truck is a highlight. Delicious lunch option. Truely a gift. Would recommend.

To be honest those are both great hills, but the lineups can be insane. Mont Orford on the other hand is a lesser known hill with a good number runs, a Gondola, Chalet and a good assortment of trails. There's no real "village", which I consider a positive because alot of the time people in the village aren't even skiing or snowboarding - just taking up space. 100% of the employees speak French though, and not all speak perfect English so bare that in mind, and be patient and respectful.

As first-time visitors, her deep knowledge and enthusiasm allowed us to enjoy the mountain to the fullest--both during our session and on the days following. Christiane has skied Sutton since the 1960s and her passion for the terrain is infectious. She took the time to carefully assess our different abilities, guiding us so that my girlfriend felt safe while progressing from green to blue and eventually black trails. Her frequent check-ins and attentive nature allowed us to explore areas I never would have attempted on my own. Christiane is warm, open, and a brilliant communicator. I recommend her highly to anyone looking to get acquainted with the magic of Mont Sutton.

We tried to climb multiple times and were told to come back. When we did come back at the right time (two separate times) they said the time changed. They don't let you reserve in advance (which would alleviate this problem) but most of all the staff was super rude and went out their way to be unhelpful (Katelyn from st albans - most of all). They could easily have helped but they did not and walked away with us standing there with upset kids (for the third time) For a cost and supposed level of service-- this is shocking. Been a big advocate of this resort my whole life but the atmosphere has sadly changed.

Inside the upper building, there are shops, restaurant, a coat section with warm setting, and restrooms. We weren't having lunch here, it was packed! We already made plans, to eat elsewhere. Going up or down, even though it was foggy, and spitting, we were able to enjoy some of the view of the season! The gondola ride was still pretty amazing, being up there. It was fun!

No matter the weather, you can count on Bromont to have snow on the slopes. They've got tons of snow blowers that pump out fake snow to start out the season and they typically get a nice amount of snow during the normal ski season. Overall impressed with how they're handling the covid situation. Also, for this hill being an hour out of Montreal, the size is great. Definitely double in size, if not slightly more than other hills up north that are equidistant. Can't wait to return to this mountain to ski, and hopefully climb in the summer!

On the school hill there is a conveyer belt that you hop on and it takes you up. Be careful when getting in and off of it. Intermediate and advanced skiers were having the time of their lives zipping down the hills. Wonderful experience. We were there on Nuit Blanche and my only complaints are that the conveyer belt for the beginner hill closed at 11pm, when the event went all the way till 2am. There is also no food or water anywhere nearby.

We called around 10am that day to double check our reservation and got no answer. I figured it was because they might not be open yet but no they were and just didn't answer. We drive an hour to come ski only to be told by the car next to us that they closed at 4 when we showed up at 3:30. The staff seemed confused were the mishap was and offered to just move our reservation to another night and eventually just gave us a refund. It said in very small print that they changed the hours for this week. Looked like an alright place to ski for an hour or two, really we were just excited to ski for our Friday night. If you're from out of town I'd steer clear of this place for lack of communication. :(

First of all, they try to put two twin…read moremattresses on top of some old box springs and call it a king size bed however the separation between the two twin mattresses while you're sleeping creates a gap in the middle of the bed that you have to deal with every morning. I tried to switch rooms, but they didn't have any available. Also, we didn't have hot water for three days while we were there. I kept calling the front desk and they said that they would let management know. I asked if management was working on the boiler system or where they were in the process but got no answers. Also, in the north wing of the hotel, there was only one elevator working. That caused delays getting to and from anywhere that we needed to go on that side of the hotel. Naturally, we took the stairs just about every time which was better for us anyway. It's highly unfortunate under this new management. It used to be a really nice resort and we really used to love staying there.

It's tiny, and smashed into an extremely small area. Consequently, other people's kids were constantly running through whichever hole we happened to be on at the time. It's billed as a black light mini-golf course, which just seemed to mean DARK. Each hole was pretty much the same. Very little creativity seemed to go into the designing of this course. It was a big disappointment. The rock wall climbing area, on the other hand, was fantastic! So many different types of walls and things for the kids (or adults) to climb! It was wonderful - a great way to pass an afternoon and get some exercise. The bathrooms were very clean, and there was plenty of comfortable seating for adults while the kids played.

We went yesterday but didn't go today as it was super cold! Negative digits!! We arrived late on Tuesday night, loaded our stuff on a luggage cart, parked the car, then headed to the room. I believe that this is a newer or renovated hotel. We had a Large King room with a view of the slopes/ski lifts. Sink area is separate from the toilet and shower area which is nice if you're sharing a room with someone. There is a small flat panel tv, a dresser, couch, suitcase stand, as well as a mini fridge and microwave. Plenty of storage for short or long stays. Be sure to bring your water, snacks, food, and utensils needed for a small meal, snack, or tea time. They don't really have anything except for some cups. The bed is super comfortable! I have to ask them where they got their pillow from as I've been waking up without any neck pain! Maybe they won't notice if I take it? Just kidding. Free wifi is great, though at times can be slow. Obviously the best part about staying here is the ski in ski out feature. It's also nice to have a pretty view of the lifts. It's quite expensive, though it's the most affordable option on Jay Peak. The staff has been super helpful and nice. For dining options, there is Howie's which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (until 9PM!) The shuttle service is awesome and will bring you around to the other hotels/parts of the resort. The resort has plenty of other dining options and things to do. I'm tempted to try out the Rock Climbing which a few steps from Stateside! It's great that there are so many things to do here if you don't feel like skiing or riding. We were here during the last week of December. During the day, you can hear the base and music coming from the lift and the groomers at night, but it's really not that bad. Also, as is gets closer to the weekend, there were a lot of annoying kids running through the hallways!! Just bring your ear plugs if you're noise sensitive. I'd definitely stay here again!

I paid for two tickets for my 3-year-old and 4-year-old, while my husband and I, wearing only snow boots (no skis or snowboards), were there to assist our young children. Unfortunately, we were approached by ski patrol and essentially asked to leave the mountain unless we paid full price just to supervise our kids. They insisted we pay an extra $70, even though we weren't skiing or snowboarding ourselves. In contrast, Bromont offers a free kiddie hill for beginners to learn. I highly recommend going there instead.

Arriving at night time there was a 2 for 1 deal which was great. Lockers cost one loonie so bring change or leave ur stuff in the car. I started at the baby hill but due to weather and how Icey it was they were closing the big hills every few minutes. The baby hills have a ski Matt that brings u back to the top everyone was falling and sliding back because the ski lift operator was not able to keep the Matt clean. A girl knocked me over left her skis while I was left spinning around like a rotisserie chicken. If you see this you're awful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hill is super close to home which was nice
