    Best stadium ever
    Joy R.

There are no words to describe the experience of watching your child compete on this stage. This field is unbelievable. The entrance is breathtaking and overwhelming. You know you are stepping onto the place where greatness has happened and could happen again. The facilities are decorated to perfection. Even the duck murals in the restrooms are breathtaking. The seats are the most comfortable of any stadium, cushioned and adequately spaced. It was a dream come true to be invited here and watch great athletes.

Here for youth track and field Pros: this campus is beautiful! The facility is top notch and well kept. There are multiple screens so that you can see from every angle. The seats were spacious and super comfy. Cons: none

Hayward field is the most impressive athletic facility/track field I have ever seen. It is a magical moment stepping foot in here. The stadium itself is a work of art. I have been to various track meets and running events here including the Olympic track trials, Prefontaine classic, Eugene marathon, and UO collegiate events. It's huge but pretty easy to navigate. They have some impressive concessions like a waffle place, brewery cart, hot dog stand, and more. Hayward field is a quintessential Track town experience and something everyone should see at least once.

Absolutely stunning athletic venue! As someone who's never watched or been interested in track and field before living in Eugene, I can tell you that it's worth your while to check this place out. Even if there isn't an event to see, I'd highly recommend walking through Hayward Hall, a museum explaining the history of Hayward Field and why Eugene is "TrackTown USA." (You can find the entrance to the museum near the base of the silver tower.)

This is definitely an upgrade from what the old Hayward Field used to be. I went to the 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships. It was my first time ever to go to one of these and it was so amazing to see in person how fast these athletes can run.

Best track facility in the country! Not a bad seat, great views from every seat. A must go see.

A classic location if there ever was one for those who follow the track & field scene. Even if you don't follow, there's much to celebrate at Hayward. The historic wooden stands created an impressive visual, but the magic really happens between the lines. All good things must apparently get renewed I guess. With the "reimagine" it'll certainly be more space-age, but the old location will always live in our hearts. Locals probably are numb to how cool it is to watch something on ESPN and then drive 10 mins to finish watching it live. That isn't lost on us, and thinking of the many world champions who've passed though in a century makes the new field bittersweet. Come see some world-class competition at Hayward. At least now there are more seats.

Hayward Field did not disappoint! I enjoyed watching the World Championships here. We had tickets it what seemed to be a section added just for this event because I couldn't find it on the seating map prior to arriving. The seats were good. I still felt like I was apart of the event! The bathrooms were spacious and clean considering the number of people there.

Hayward Field is on the University if Oregon campus in Eugene, OR. This is where they hold the NCAA track and field championships. How lucky it is that they are hosted here so Oregonians don't have to travel very far to attend. If you have never had a chance to attend this and enjoy track and field....check it out. It's not only fun but the enthusiasm is exhilarating. The field is very well kept, green and beautiful. It is gated with beautiful iron gates so that when the fields not in use for events the campus goers are the only ones to use it for the most part. There is word that the U of O is adding more bleacher space as well since that seems to be one if the biggest issues with attending events here. 2016-7

"It never rains...in Autzen Stadium!" - Don Essig, longtime Autzen PA announcer…read more Well, yeah, sure. But also, surrrrrre, Don. But who really cares? You're in Oregon, where the climate has its own ideas on where and when things will change. You're just off campus of the University of Oregon, across the Willamette (highly recommend the bridge walk, it's a tradition), and you're going to be a part of a crowd of ~60,000. And while that is far less than some other venues, these crowds get throaty and LOUD, especially when the Ducks have the opponents pinned deep in their own end. Also, that's when the rain is a big help, because fumbles happen. The steps on the south end take you right under the big O, letting you know just who calls this place home. If you're so inclined, then you can walk the ramps up the east or west sides, too, so those who might need accessibility or just people who hate stairs can be accommodated. The concourses are pretty wide, though when concessions lines are long, the concourses are still cramped. Restrooms are plenty and have LOTS of facilities, so you *might* even be able to make a comfort stop during a commercial break. But if you miss the action and the crowd roars, then the restrooms are quite the echo chamber. Autzen has had a gazillion magic moments, the Duck ALWAYS entertains, and it's fairly visiting-fan friendly, as long as yer not OSU. This is also the venue for the main graduation ceremony, stuffing the south stands with family & friends to celebrate their Ducks' academic accomplishments. So while Kenny Wheaton's '94 'pick six' or the 32-31 barnburner against Ohio State in '24 are hallowed memories here, so too are those school-related festivities, not just sportsball. And yes, I'm biased because my Duck walked here. Parking isn't easy, and traffic gets managed along MLK Jr Way, but that's where the bridge walk helps. If you need merch or the latest in UO garb, then the Duck Store might have something for all ages. Hey, even the Grateful Dead played here TEN times, so you know almost anyone could call this a special place. Come early. Wear green. Be LOUD.

If you've never experienced a Saturday at Autzen Stadium, home of the Oregon Ducks football, then…read morebuckle up because this place isn't just a football game, it's a full-blown football event, the kind that would make even John Madden slam the telestrator pen on the table and shout, "BOOM! Now THAT'S football!" Built back in 1967 and named after lumberman and supporter Thomas J. Autzen, this stadium rose from the Oregon soil like a cathedral to college football. Over the years it's been upgraded most notably the 2002 expansion that pushed capacity past 54,000 but here's the crazy part: it sounds like twice that many. The freeway around Eugene backs up for miles, tailgates stretch forever, and it honestly feels like there are more fans outside the stadium than inside. That's when you know you're somewhere special. Then you walk through the gates... and BAM! The noise hits you like a linebacker blitzing through the A-gap. Autzen is famous for being one of the loudest stadiums in college football, and buddy, that's not marketing that's physics. Ducks fans don't cheer, they detonate. The chant starts rolling: "Ducks! Ducks! Go Ducks!" and the sound bounces off the bowl so hard your ears feel like they just went three rounds with a jet engine. The band fires up, the speakers blast music like a rock concert, and suddenly a Harley engine roars to life VROOOOM echoing across the field like thunder in the Cascades. The green and yellow colors flash everywhere, and the place turns into a sea of Nike energy, which makes sense because the university's most famous supporter, Phil Knight, helped fuel the Ducks' rise into a national powerhouse. And then comes the moment that gives you goosebumps. The stadium goes quiet for the national anthem, the military is honored, and right when the final note hits WHOOSH! Fighter jets scream over the top of the stadium in a flyover that rattles the rafters. The crowd erupts, the band explodes into fight songs, and suddenly Autzen sounds less like a stadium and more like a jet-powered rock concert with shoulder pads. It's wild, it's loud, it's electric and I'm telling you right now, in true Madden fashion: when a stadium shakes like that, when the crowd's louder than a freight train, and when the Ducks come flying out of that tunnel... BOOM! That's football, baby. Five stars. Best college football stadium I've ever experienced. Go Ducks. Go Nike. And hold onto your eardrums.

Since PK Park can only house around 4,000 people as opposed to Autzen's 50,000, it is a much more relaxed atmosphere and you don't feel like you're being suffocated by people. Security seems to be much more lax here, and from the two games I've gone to here so far, I haven't had to wait in line outside the park for nearly as long as I would at Autzen to get inside. The park is clean, and you get a good view of the field from any seat in the house. I like that for the GA section, seating isn't assigned, so you can decide where within the section you want to sit. I got to sit in the front row behind the dugout each time I came here, and it was a great experience. The food vendors have all your typical baseball food: peanuts, cotton candy, hot dogs, ice cream, nachos, popcorn, pretzels, etc., and pricing is a little steep but not outrageous like MLB pricing. They also have a vegetarian meat option for their grand slam nachos, which I can appreciate. Also, if you're obsessed with the elusive Oregon Duck like I am, it's much easier to snap a picture with him here than it is at Autzen! Oh and the baseball team is pretty fun to watch too. I only wish I had started coming to their games sooner!

There must have been an elevator but it wasn't obvious to my eyes. I took a lot of photos of food options, because if you have a more restricted diet you might want to know what's available before you go. I did not get a shot of every menu but I got most. Or course it may vary from time to time. I was happy to see that Peek A Book Delight was there, and was able to get a cup of mango slices with seasonings like chamoy and lime. You can get peanuts for $3 and Prince Puckler's ice cream. The stadium itself just has one main screen and there were no instant replays during the game, but they did have those fun and silly fan games in between innings that were sponsored by various local businesses. The park being outside got chilly at night but the restroom was warm. There was a couch in the women's room. Note that they have a clear bag policy and if you have a prepaid ticket to park in the East Lot, the entrance is at MLK Way and Kinsrow. Google maps took me to the wrong place and I had to drive a bit to figure out where I was supposed to go as the signage was not so good.

Of course the beer choices were there, but the line for food was ridiculously long. You can not see any of the scoreboard from these seats. Close the gaps in the seat area as we dropped items twice and were told we couldn't retrieve them until the Manager did it. C'mon!! And there is no water refill station in the bleacher area. Why? It's hot, we need to drink water. It is time to also enlarge the stadium. I heard this often by other people in the seats. Record crowds were prevalent the entire four days, yet when I was home later in the evening, I saw LSU play in an updated stadium that was huge.
