We were very disappointed on our recent visit to find there were no samples out. It was always fun to try something new because a sample persuaded you to do so. Also disappointed that the bistro is closed, as it was always a reliable and entertaining place to dine. The reason I haven't awarded a fifth star is prices. I looked at many items that I know I can get elsewhere and the mark ups were just silly. I like to support local shops, but I cannot finance them

It was fresh, generous, and easily worth the $12. They even wrap it up with a little chocolate chip cookie on top, which was a nice touch. I paired it with a 24 oz iced latte, smooth and strong, and a bag of Boulder chips. Everything hit the spot. The place itself is half the reason to come. Old wood floors, exposed beams, shelves of local snacks and treats, homemade pies, and a patio with bright teal chairs out front. There's a William James quote on the wall about being like islands connected in the deep that sums up the friendly, unhurried feel of the place. Staff were welcoming and quick. If you're in Longmont and want a solid sandwich in a spot with personality, this is it. I'll be back to try the pie.
