The ice cream itself is incredible, with a wide variety of flavors that taste so fresh and creamy. I especially love that they use Michigan dairy--it means a lot to me to support local farms and businesses. The shop has a true "local supporting local" vibe: local shop, local ice cream, Michigan creamery. And the best part? The pricing is super reasonable and won't break your wallet, which makes it an easy stop for families or anyone looking for a sweet treat. If you're in Paw Paw or just passing through, The Scoop Shop is a must-visit!

Great ice cream we had in Saugatuck, and lovely vibes befitting of a vacation town local spot…read more We went here a few times, and it was delicious each time. My kinds got whatever the brightest available flavor was, and I got a graham cracker ice cream with little bits of chocolate honeycomb in it. It was a milder flavor as expected, but so good I almost got it twice. The second time in I got a "Blueberry Waffle Cone" flavor that was vanilla ice cream, blueberry swirl, and small chocolate covered ice cream cone pieces. Phenomenal. Hard to pick between the two, and both better than what we had across the street. It gets busy in here, and there can be a little pressure of the line pushing as we sample, but hold your ground and try a few because they have a lot of fun flavors to explore. Lovely place. PS they charge a smaller fee for CCs but you can pay debit or cash to dodge it. Looking forward to returning again sometime down the road.

First time visit. Stopped with hubby to have lunch. Fish sandwich, 1/4 hamburger, 1 order onion…read morerings, 2 medium drinks - $36.00. Well, that was quite the shock. Fish on the sandwich was about 1/4 thick, you could barely find it with all the lettuce, cheese and tartar. Burger was so overcooked, it was like shoe leather. Onion rings were impressive when they brought them out. However, they were saturated in oil. For $9.99 it would have been nice to be able to eat them. I had one and my husband had 1/2 of one. We were very disappointed after seeing they were in business 50 years - had high hopes. The ladies behind the counter were nice and you could tell they were working hard. Nice location on the water. Would not visit again.
