I have nothing positive to say about my experience at the hayloft. For starters, after I placed my order the girl that was handing out orders got an attitude with a customer and then he asked for a refund and told them to keep their ice cream bc of the girl's attitude. Secondly, my party of 6 then waited 1 hour and 3 mins ( yes we kept a stopwatch going bc of a previous experience). And then at 9:15 the manager locked the doors and my 7 month pregnant friend wasn't allowed to use their bathroom even though we were paying customers. We gave the hayloft a second chance but because of their terrible customer service and the 1 hour and 3 min wait. We definitely will not be coming back! read more

If I could zero stars I would. I came here last night with a larger group and waited an hour for my ice cream. The service was extremely so slow and the employees seemed less than thrilled to be there. I gave this place a second chance and I still wasn't impressed. We dove quite a ways for this place, we heard the ice cream was good and the sizes were huge, first off they didn't have any of the yogurt that they said they had and didn't know the difference between yogurt and sugar free ice cream... we ended up getting a baby cone for our son at just under $3.00, It was big for being called a baby cone, not huge, but a full large scoop of ice cream, however I do wish they would have had a smaller size with a smaller price, for the little ones. I love the hayloft. I grew up goin there, but I only order their icecream. I never tried their other items on the menu. But WOW they give a person ALOT of ice cream! It's good too. The ice cream I usually get is the brownie Sunday. It comes in this huge pretty glass bowl that looks like a goblet. With huge chunks of brownies. Plus the scenery there is very pretty and relaxing, because it's out in the country. It's a nice family place to take the kids to or would make a nice daytime date where a couple can relax. read more

I have never been so disappointed or disgusted by a dining experience than that at the Hayloft. We have been there many times in the past, but only to the walk up window for ice cream cones. My husband and I stopped for a sandwich and shake tonight for dinner. The shakes came out after we had finished the sandwich and when we got them imagine my disgust at the cup being duct taped together. Do you know how much bacteria can build up under that duct tape?!? I told the waitress that I could not drink the shake because I didn't think it was healthy and she said, Sorry about that but offered no discount or refund. I paid $6.00 for a shake I couldn't drink. I will be calling the owner and took a picture to provide to the health department. Surely that has to be a health department violation of some sort. Me and my family decided to go to Hayloft to celebrate 4th of July. While being full inside, we decided to sit in the Patio. Being a large party, we had to sit in the place with no air condition on a sunny day. While our order was taken pretty fast, the other parties were shortly seated 10-15 minutes after they came and soon ordered their ice cream and food. While the server was attentive, the food preparation and took forever. Our table ordered 4 grilled cheeses, a cheese pizza, and a calzone. While waiting, we notice the other parties that came later received their food and ice cream. Time ticked by and about 50 minutes we finally received our food. While the food was good, the time it took was just remarkable. After eating and while suffering from heat exhaustion, we had to wait another 15 minutes for ice cream. Two of the three tables that joined the patio already left and paid. The ice cream was finally served, but everyone other than myself got their order. I had to wait about 5 more minutes to receive my order. The ice cream was delicious and worth the price, but the quality of the service and the humidity of the room was not a welcoming 4th of July experience. You have the option to either order at the window or dine inside. My group wanted to order ice cream but if we wanted to look at the ice cream we were told we would have to go inside to do so, but we could only go inside if we were dining in. We say down and waited for about 7 minutes before someone finally came to help us. We were then told we couldn't order cones inside, only dishes of ice cream. We then had to go back outside. The waitress was obviously frustrated at us and rudely slammed the menus at the counter. The ice cream we got was great but I would not come back again only because of a few rude staff members.
