We stayed in Unit 2, the Devil's Lake room which had photos of Devil's lake. The room included a mini refrigerator, coffee and tea, and alarm clock if needed. Right outside your door they have chairs and tables for enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have grills and an area for bonfires. I was only able to go to the communal area/lobby for the first morning as it was soon closed as they were started to do contactless check in/out. But it seems as though in less COVID-y times they have some coffee or tea there, light breakfast items like mini muffins or breakfast bars and fruit. They also had a communal puzzle and board games. Overall the place is super cozy, perfectly situated for a relaxing vacation with a number of restaurants and small shops to visit in Baraboo.

My company rented rooms here because the other hotel in town was full. From what I saw of Beaver Dam, it appears to be a nice town, but this hotel falls short in so many ways. If my training class wasn't located 3 and half hours away, I would have commuted. If you are desperate and no other choice I would recommend bringing shower shoes and air freshener. I would also recommend being up ti date in all immunizations before your stay. For the most part, the staff was friendly and far less disgruntled than I would have been if I had to work there.

Judging from the architecture, this used to be the old Americinn but now the new Americinn is down the street and the existing building was sold off. This location is now considered a Baymont Inn & Suites. It looks like they didn't do too much to update or change it for the better, basically kept it as is. There is no more exercise room or dry sauna, both have been turned into storage. The hot tub was also closed down while we were visiting. Not sure if that was temporary or if it has been out for some time. The pool wasn't that warm so not having a hot tub was a huge miss for us. Breakfast was not bad. Standard hot continental options - make your own waffles, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and microwaved omelets. There was also plenty of cold breakfast options as well. Location was pretty good, you are within walking distance/short drive to many different fast food options and gas stations, right across the street from a grocery store (Piggly Wiggly), and around the corner from a local coffee shop. You are also right off the highway (for better and for worse). If I would have paid in the $80-110 range I would have been OK with this place but I overpaid for what I got in terms of experience.
