We arrived about 5pm ish. Woman came out asa we rang the bell, seemed very friendly, checked in the first room, we asked if we could all be on the same floor, Seemed to take her a long time to verify this, while were waiting, the other guy came in and started checking in two other couples, w/in min they had their keys and were heading to their room, meanwhile we are still waiting. Finaly she gets the first room done, then were told we would have to wait for the other two rooms as they still were not cleaned by this time is was 6 pm! She stated while she was working on our first room, the guy right next to her gave the other two rooms to the other two couples that had came in, I mean this is how fast he was and how slow she was, obviously no communication between them, I mean we reserved these rooms over a week in advance. She stated they had a big sports group the night before and they checked out late which is why they were behind. Not sure how that is my fault? Wonder what they were going to if we had arrived mid morning! When i expressed my displeasure she literaly stated "well I dont know what you want me to do about it"! Then the same guy comes out from the back and asks if she checked with the cleaning crew and I'm not kidding w/in minutes we were being assigned rooms, not on the same floor but at least we had rooms. Then he offered us a free snack from their little snack room, not much but at least HE offered something! Then to top it off we all had to give a cc or dc for a $100 to be put on hold for incidentals! We prepaid our rooms when we reserved them and no one once stated that would be needed! Finally get to our rooms. Mine has slight smell to it, peeling wallpaper by the windows. The curtains had holes in them that are clearly noticable when closed where daylight came through. But for me the worst was the bed, springs! So uncomfortable, I finaly gave up and finaly went and slept on the small sofa, at least it was more comfortable if too small. Unfortunately it was the same for all of us. This will be the last time we stay here.

And, not even a bat could spoil how much fun we had with our family and friends there. We did enjoy our day, but there were some hiccups. We decided to use Spotify for our music. Which is fine and worked for us. One of my guests informed me that they heard one of my songs at least 5 times before it went to the next. And, my PowerPoint froze on a picture every now and then during the day. It seems they may need some technology upgrades. Also, some of our guests missed our ceremony because they had troubles finding the venue. Do not use the address. Search for Springbrook Events instead is what we heard. Our guests gave praises to the beauty of the venue and the song choices I made to our playlists and enjoyed themselves immensely even when the lights flickered and music stopped for a little bit while the computer rebooted. Also, double check that you have all the rooms booked for your party. I had told them in an email I needed all the rooms in the house for my wedding party. One I only needed for Saturday night. Some how, the officiant was able to book it for Friday night and they weren't going to clean the room for my bridesmaids for Saturday night. So my bridesmaids had to drive home after the wedding and I had to give my bridesmaid her money back cause she had already paid me for the room that I had also asked Springbrook to save for me. That was upsetting. And, one more thing, we never did get to use the bon fire we had requested. We knew rain was in the forecast but yet they never covered the wood up and it was too wet. We never did get reimbursed for not being able to utilize it. They should have covered the wood up knowing it was supposed to rain during the day. We weren't too happy bout that.

There was only one sign and that was right at the drive way - surrounded by cornfields. The drive way was not the smoothest I've been on. The parking area is limited. I noticed a church on the property, which looked very charming... another venue option. The barn is beautifully set with a huge fire pit and near a stream. The wedding took place on the second floor. Don't worry, there is an elevator just in case if you don't feel like climbing the stairs. The interior is a open room with couple of bars along the walls. Looks like a person can set up this room in various ways. The venue was very well lit and with plenty of ventilation. After the ceremony, we were ushered to the first floor for appetizers and cocktails. Again, great lay out with a bar. The men's restroom was very clean and had the "rustic" look. After awhile, we asked to go back up to the second floor. The staff did a great job setting up the tables for the meal, which was catered in. The acoustics was great for the wedding. I didn't stick for the dancing since I'm not used to driving after dark.. I live in a city and not used to no street lights. On the way out, I noticed the large fire pit which was in full blaze. Overall, I thought this is a great event venue.

I am a local resident and was called upon to check available guest accommodations for a friend. This motel has had handy-man renovations for life-support over the years, funded by weekly residents, and temporary housing for a recently released sex-offender or two. The staff is quick to greet you, but be advised English is a second language to them (this is not bad but it may be cause for faulty communication). Rates for a one night visit are above several non-franchised competitors as well as some franchised sites (yes, I checked others). Amenities are bare minimum, no pool or exercise room, your room may have a space heater. If all one needs is a bed and a roof over your head, this may be an option, but it may be more comfortable to stay elsewhere.

You then float your way down the beautiful staircase to a breakfast I can only say must be experienced. In front of you is a beautiful lake, and a lovely round table is heaped with fresh fruit parfaits combined with yogurt, warm coffee cake and platters of perfectly-cut melons and berries. You sit and have your first cup of coffee, tea or juice and chat with delightful people from all over and your morning begins in a comfortable and unhurried way with the most wonderful innkeepers, Kathy and Dave, quietly attending to your needs. Make your way over to another lovely antique piece serving hot entrees, like cream-cheese stuffed French Toast, with warm regional Door-County cherries for a topping or cheese blintzes with orange sauce. Next, are egg dishes that vary from day-to-day, and finally, there is that apple-cured bacon. This grand home offers only five or six beautiful rooms, so one is not overwhelmed with people making it a really pleasant stay. We stayed in the largest of the waterfront rooms, the Raphael, which has a king-size bed and lake view. Every room has fresh-cut flowers. Upon arriving late Friday, at around sunset, we were delighted to see wine and some delicious Wisconsin cheese and crackers waiting for us. This is offered each evening to guests. We have returned to the Angel Inn year after year and will continue to as it's an idyllic place to get away and relax in a beautiful setting, while feeling at home in a home-away-from-home, with the warmth and care of Kathy and Dave. We ALWAYS feel welcome! I don't think I can say that about any other place I've stayed. They are genuinely happy to see you return and it is most sincere. There is a boat dock in front of the B& B, so our friend's boat had easy access to pick us up for a ride. Norton's Restaurant is located right next door for cocktails and meals and there were no sound issues at all. I highly recommend the Angel Inn Bed & Breakfast in Green Lake, WI.
