The fixtures and curtains were original circa 1960s. There was a nice flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker with coffee, and a microwave. The locals we'd come to visit laughed at us for staying here, but I have a fondness for little old bungalow-style motels with original elements. I had a non-smoking room that smelled just lovely. You should know from looking that it ain't the Ritz, but it was a perfectly decent, quiet place to stay for a couple of nights with a bit of quaint, if slightly squalid, charm.

The parking is free and there is plenty around the building and it was nice to be close by a coffee shop. The inn provides a lot of food recommendations and things to do nearby. If I had time I would have checked out the Horicon marsh to go birding.

When we woke up the next morning to check out, there was a roach crawling on the bed board of one of the beds. We told the lady at the front desk and she didn't seem too surprised. Multiple people with the wedding encountered very bad customer service as well. I'm guessing since it's the only hotel in the area(so no competition)they just slack on all of their efforts. Asked about a pet fee, where to walk the dog and get rid of pet waste. The did not have a pet policy to sign or a pet fee. Just no dogs on the bed. Ok. Next morning we went to grab breakfast only to return to be locked out of our room because we had a dog! Now we are dealing with a different person than who checked us in. They wouldn't let us in the room until we paid a fine for "unauthorized pets" of $250! We had to call the Lomira police to have the staff let us in our room. Long story short we had to pay their "pet fee" (again for a non pet friendly hotel) and a transaction fee and had to leave immediately without showering or anything. Will NOT return and just want other pet owners to know about this. What's joke.

They have captured the essence of a historic traditional bed and breakfast, and we would highly recommend this place to stay to anyone traveling to the Sheboygan, The Falls, or Kohler. We went for a golf tournament and the Inn was the perfect place to relax after a rewarding game. The breakfast provided is excellent, and changes daily.
