I was driving through the area on the way back to Boston and was searching for a late dinner. Hayashi came up in the search and has late hours - which was great. We stopped in around 9. The menu had plenty of classic sushi items. It was quick to be seated and served. The sushi was good, not amazing, but certainly up to par. The service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant had music on that was too loud and it was hard to have a conversation. Although they have a good sized bar I was not expecting or wanting to be blasted loud house music over dinner in suburban Easton. Would fully expect that in a club in the city. All in all, it was a good visit and good meal.

Ok so.. I would've given this place five stars because the food is really good but the service wasn't up to par. We were sat at the bar where we requested. They have a pretty good sized drink menu but no real bartender? The girl manning the bar said that they only have one on the weekends when it's more busy. Ok, no problem.. we still ordered our drinks thinking she'd know how to make them. She did not. Another woman had to come over and make them but it took quite some time unfortunately. I just found that to be a little weird but no biggie. I also ordered a soda and it was canned soda to my dismay. I would've thought they'd have had fountain soda. The food took a little while to come out but it was soooooo good! Worth the wait in my opinion. I also liked the portion sizes. Not too much so you're not super bloated when you leave lol.

The service here is so disappointing!!! We ordered two drinks at the bar and no one else was there except us, but it took them 25 minutes to make our drinks! Not acceptable! Food wise everything was amazing, but anything you asked for took them forever to get when no other customer was there, but two people! Honestly I think this place is better for take out only because no business that has been open this long should be this lazy when it comes to customer service!

I had a lot of time so I stacked my plates. The black plate was tricky.

Okay, the food was fresh and delicious here - very tasty! Without a doubt I am tempted to return but only for take-out. The reason is the service is disappointing for dine-in. It took a long time to be helped, items came out very slowly one-by-one. Then the server told us they were out of rice - seriously it was early dinner time and a sushi restaurant that runs out of rice is suspect to me. She then brought two dishes of a sweet rice, must've been sushi rice.?.?- still good though, so why did she tell me they were out? Another lady servicing the bar came over and asked if I wanted more water only to forget about me. Note: Don't take the last bit of water the customer has left if you don't have another drink you are going to replace it with. The original server finally brought my water of course it was at the same time she brought the bill. Also, the server charged me for an extra Miso soup that was never received. I had to stack my used dishes because she wasn't eager to clear the table. Take-out your food if you want to have a good experience here.

OMG the sushi here is so fresh. We asked our server what's fresh from the sushi bar and she suggest the Omakase. It was the best choice as the whole plate was fresh and delicious. Please keep in mind Omakase is all RAW, so it needs to very fresh and good quality before consuming. This place is small but can get very busy. The soft shell crab is yummy but I think it can be better. Overall a+

Sushi and Sashimi Lunch Combo

Hayashi is around the corner from where I work. I just popped in for lunch and ordered the sushi and sashimi lunch. I was really impressed. The sushi was fresh and very good, the portion size was impressive and the presentation was on point (see photo). It was also a chill place to have lunch. A nice contrast from my hectic office. Will I be back? Yes! Will I try other things? Yes!

Seafood udon soup. Delish. Scallops mussels. Shrimp.

Great little sushi spot. Interesting sushi rolls (dragon maki) and some very tasty and healthy pad Thai. Seems like the place does a strong take out business but a pleasant spot to dine in as well. The seafood udon soup was fantastic as well . Beer/wine and sake as well.

They offer lunch and dinner specials/combos at reasonable prices. The place is order at the counter with open kitchen and there is hard booths for eating inside. I stopped by Sakura Japan in Brockton for lunch takeout recently. I decided to go with the B6 Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box ($16.99 plus tax-Lunch) which includes choice of rice, soup, appetizer, sushi roll, and salad, sauces provided. I was also given a complementary iced sweet lemonade too. My food was all set in about 10 minutes. The portion size for the bento box lunch was very good, compared to other Asian places near my home, which tend to skimp on bento box portions. The grilled salmon was very tender over the fresh cooked vegetable fried rice. The hot & sour soup (pint) was very hot and had good mild spicy flavors. The fried dumplings were crispy outside. The California Roll with wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce was very good, as the Seaweed Salad was a good side for the sushi. I enjoyed half of my lunch in the restaurant and enjoyed the rest when I got home.

It's great to have an authentic Korean restaurant on the South Shore without having to drive into…read moreBoston. this restaurant replaced SuSu Sushi and the interior remains about the same . The food here is on par with the spots in Allston, and the portions are huge. The steamed egg was really well done and seasoned perfectly. The tangsuyuk came out hot and very crispy, though I felt the sauce was a bit too sour and could have used more depth of flavor. The budae jjigae is listed as serving size for two, but it easily could have fed four people. I appreciated the generous amount of pork belly, spam, and sausage along with the vegetables. A lot of places tend to skimp on the meat and overload the veggies. I would definitely come back when I'm craving Korean food. I went on a Friday night and it was not too busy.

I came here for lunch specifically to try jajangmyeon after reading about the dish in the New York…read moreTimes (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/11/dining/jjajangmyeon-korean-noodle-dish.html) and seeing it repeatedly pop up in my Facebook feed. Living on the South Shore means Korean food options are limited, so when personal errands brought me to Stoughton, this immediately went to the top of my list. The jajangmyeon lived up to the hype. Springy wheat noodles with a deeply flavorful black bean sauce that hit the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Comfort food with real depth. I also enjoyed my steamed pork dumplings along with the banchan which included standards like kimchi along spicy radish and pickled daikon, which was an absolute revelation! Sign me up for more of that. The restaurant crowd was primarily locals, and there was a constant stream of takeout orders, which says a lot about how well-loved this place is. The space itself is nice and welcoming, although the area near the host stand and toward the open kitchen is a little cluttered during peak times. I'm guessing they don't have a lot of storage in back. If you have been curious about jajangmyeon, or if you are craving Korean food south of Boston, this is absolutely worth the trip.
