March 25th 2 yd of Red Rock was delivered to the front yard of my home. When I ordered the Rock I…read moretold them that I wanted the rock placed where the existing small pile of rock was located under the tree. Everything seemed to be understood. When I finally got back to my house I saw where the rock had been placed on a different colored Rock area instead of where I wanted it. I called them up complaining about this and all I got was " I'm sorry ". I told him he should make that right because that Red Rock got mixed in with White Rock. He understood how mad I was but was not willing to make it right. So now it's going to cost me twice as much to fix what's wrong and my house is up for sale and that's going to be another problem to deal with. As far as I'm concerned the driver who delivered this should have had his butt chewed out a lot more.

We decided to have Builders Wholesale perform the conversion to a gas insert. From start to finish Builders was there for us. Tyler and Chris accuretly meausered and discussed insert options with us. Their showroom was well stocked with many fully functional insert units that we could "test drive" the unit we selected. Builders installation crew of Dan and Chad are true professionals and did an outstanding job. Why anyone would decide to contract with another supplier is beyond me. Gasket has fallen off Vermont Castings Wood Stove 11 months after installation. Apparently this is…read morea wear item and not covered under warranty. I expressed my concern about carbon monoxide poisoning and was asked by their staff if I have a carbon monoxide detector which of course I do, however, I would feel safer having a stove that doesn't pump carbon monoxide into my home. I feel this shouldn't be a concern with a relatively new stove installed by their company. We have only used the stove for 4 months during the winter. Builders Wholesale says it will cost me a service charge to send out a technician or if I purchase a gasket and glue from their business myself it will be $50 ++ to replace short amount of gasket and adhesive!! Please be aware of the Vermont Castings wood stove "Dauntless " poor quality before purchasing. In addition all of the handles on the stove repeatedly loosen up and have to be tightened on a regular basis. Stove cost us $8,200 for unit, chimney, and installation . We never questioned the price or tried to get a deal. I feel it's sad that Builders Wholesale can't even give us a little bit of glue and new gasket seal so we can repair it ourselves. They were very friendly during the purchase but not so much when asking about a warranty. Very disappointing.

I did not see that on the bill. AND, they charged me more than what they quoted me per ton. I have to hire extra help to get the crappy gravel hauled to the back. it was too dirty to use in the front . I called and called to try to work some thing out and have it hauled off, but was told to pay $25 (I am 5 miles away!) and the owner was rude and never called me back. She just had her secretary talk to me. I think they took advantage of a woman homeowner and just gave me a bunch of junk that was returned ot them. They did not screen it or care if I got what I could use. A big waste of $350.00 and had to hire extra help to get it all in the back. They insisted I saw the materiel and knew what I was getting, but the junk and mud was hidden in the middle,a d they knew they also gave me a scrapper full, which I could not see as it was on the bottom after they dumped it- defiantly sneaky and very mean! they dumped it in the drive before I could think about what was happening. So mean to do this to someone. They are probably nicer to their commercial customers. Do not ever go there ---I mean, lying about the the price in the first place!
