I had insurance from these people about 6 months. I drove an older car (1996) the first 3-4 months and I paid only $70 a month for liability insurance which I thought was fair. When I upgraded to a newer model (2002) (which keep in mind was still a decade and a half old ca)r my rate suddenly skyrocketed to $150 a month for LIABILITY which was absolutely ridiculous. On top of that they made me pay a $100 non-refundable deposit to transfer the policy over to my new car. I decided I would deal with it until the policy expired. A month later I got insurance elsewhere for half the price so I called and set up an appointment on Tuesday to cancel my policy with them a month before it expired. The lady had agreed to take my account off of autopay to avoid being charged during my appointment.
When I showed up to their office on Friday for my appointment at 11 AM there was suddenly nobody there. I decided to wait around for 15 minutes and there was nobody there. I was extremely frustrated. I was forced to leave because I had work at 1 PM. At work, I called on my breaks and nobody answered. Since they're closed on the weekends I had to wait until Monday to go into their office again but by then my account had been charged $150 which led to my checking account being overdrafted. I didn't get paid until Thursday so on top of being overdrafted I had to pay an extra $120 to my bank in overdraft fees. I called their office and all they did was apologize and they didn't do anything to try to help me for my inconvenience. So I went to my bank and told them that the $150 transaction wasn't authorized. When I did that, I then got a letter from a collections agency telling me to pay them that amount for the insurance.
I went through all that BS and trouble just because these people don't stick to their word.
