Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. But when you always lose, that's a problem, and since MD…read moreRieux was my primary Dr. and is part of the Prospect Health Medical Group, I was losing consistently. Here's why.... In the course of the last few months after suffering from a litany of ailments ranging from a back and leg injury (due to a vehicular accident-not my fault) and a subsequent 7mm kidney stone, it became clear to me that neither MD Rieux nor her staff were in any position to really be of assistance-not really. Her personal follow up was poor, and she was rarely, if ever, in the office. In fact, there were days I would stop by and the entire half of her side of the front entrance reception (I guess she shares the building/floor with another physician) would be staffed by none other than Casper himself-and HE was alone. I believe she had the good fortune of being able to take not one, but two vacations within a two months' time frame-must be nice ha? Meanwhile, she/her office are referring me to physicians/urologists, etc who are not able or willing to be seen for months at a time-despite the urgency that was generated by the sciatica (back and leg injury) and or the kidney stone. If their immediate availability on schedule was not enough of a setback, their physical locations were nowhere close to my residence-we are talking like an hour or more away. So your losing on both ends with all of her referrals-all via Prospect Medical Group. What became clear here is that MD Rieux has her hands tied, and for that matter handcuffed, to a seemingly incompetent medical group, this one being that of Prospect Health Medical Group. Either way, it was time to move on and not just to another MD or Primary, but to another medical group altogether. Avoid Prospect Medical Group like the plague, and for that matter ANY MD who affiliates with or is a part of their medical group. Adios muchachos!

I don't know what I'd do without Dr. Rieux!…read more She carefully monitors my health changes over the years, gets me appointments for any specialist, and same-day prescriptions and helped me get a much-needed surgery. I'm generally healthy and she still takes special attention to detail. Some of these low reviews seem less than balanced, and it's important to think about the expectations we place on doctors to intuit everything about our health and emotional state. Come to your doctor with details and questions, concerns about medications, family history and health goals, and realize that many of them on your side. (This info helps to weed out the bad practitioners, and after YEARS in her care, I believe Dr. Rieux is GOLDEN.)

Dr. Emmanuel is the best in LA! I have known this doctor since my back surgery in 2009 and my visit…read moretoday did not disappoint. Front office was very friendly (thank you Ivana and Nicole) and the girls made the whole experience much more pleasant and less nerve wracking. I came in with a fractured foot and was sooooo nervous I would need surgery. After seeing Dr. Emmanuel I was very pleased to learn that I would not need surgery and would have to boot my foot for the next 8 weeks. Best case scenario for this crappy situation but nonetheless I was thrilled to know I wasn't needing surgery. Will have future follow ups to see how the healing is progressibut I know I am in great hands with Dr. Emmanuel and his team. **I am very pleased with Dr. Emmanuel's office. I had asked for a call to talk about my foot possibly being put into a cast vs keeping it in a boot (I am super OCD and can't stop messing with the boot, the positioning of my foot and thinking about if the foot is in the correct position blah blah blah, hence my minor OCD). Got a call within 24 hrs from Ivana and she said to come in so that Dr. Emmanuel could check my boot and be sure it's ok and discuss my options properly in person. Great follow up on their part... I come from the medical/dental field so appreciate and understand how important these calls are. Even having back surgery with Dr. Emmanuel in 2009 he personally made a house call to check on my stitches and was very prompt and took great care of me. Best BedSide manner Ever!! What a great Dr! :) 3/5/18: Came back to see Dr. Emmanuel because I was uncomfortable with my boot (picked one up years ago from a previous sprained ankle issue) and was feeling unsure if it was fitting correctly. They fit me in without an appointment and Dr. Emmanuel ended up giving me a brand new boot with foam pneumatic padding for NO CHARGE!! I was soooo happy he took the time out of his busy schedule to see me and then on top of if he didn't charge me for the new gear. What an amazing doctor and office!! And as always, Ivana and Nicole were very friendly and professional and were great getting me in today! ;)

I had a 1:30pm new patient appointment, and by 3:00pm I still had not even spoken with the doctor…read more What made the experience especially frustrating was the complete lack of communication from the staff. No one offered an update, explained the delay, or showed any regard for the fact that patients have schedules and responsibilities of their own. I live less than a five-minute walk from the office and could have been working or at least eating lunch instead of sitting in a waiting room for an hour and a half. What made it even more confusing was that there was only one other person in the waiting room the entire time I was there, so the office did not appear particularly busy. This experience was especially disappointing because it took me months to finally work up the courage to make this appointment. Other health issues had taken priority, and I was already anxious about addressing my back pain. After spending an entire afternoon waiting, I left feeling like I am right back where I started. I am still in pain and no closer to getting answers or treatment. I understand that delays can happen in medical offices, but basic professionalism and communication should be the minimum standard. A simple explanation or realistic estimate of the wait would have made a huge difference. Instead, I was left feeling ignored and completely disrespected as a new patient.

It's been a long time but when in employ of a company in El Segundo Dr. Sheikh, MD was my PCP…read more All of my experiences were of the upmost positive. I retired from the Company in 2012 & moved to Scottsdale, AZ but have often considered commuting via air to regain his professional consult. Personally I have found most of the medical practices in Arizona to be "wanting". They have a tendency to compare your medical condition with whatever is going around versus actually examining you and discover what is actually wrong with you We have yet to find a medical practice in Arizona that we are remotely satisfied. In conclusion you can't go wrong with Dr. Sheikh as your PCP If we return to our home State we will automatically seek his medical practice as our first act of business. In 2012 & before his staff were as friendly & helpful as he. Can't go wrong with this practice. His referrals are as epic as he. Miss you Doc

I had previously seen Dr. Gordon and was very impressed with him but he had died the previous year. I hoped that his partner would be of similar quality. I was not disappointed. I came in for a routine history and physical. Dr. Morrison was very very thorough. He asked me about family history and I told him that my father had had colon cancer. Although I was not of age for screening colonoscopy, he said that the family history mandated earlier screening. As a doctor myself, I had forgotten this issue and was a few years behind on getting it done. I went forward with getting the procedure and a small adenoma was found and removed.
