I have been going here for many years. My doctor changed my meds then he went on a long, needed vacation. Now I am having issues and his partners won't help me. My Dr is wonderful but the office processes are not good. I am left like a lab rat to practice medicine on my own. There's a new office manager every year. My faxes get lost and there's such a disconnect with management. There are wonderful people there too. I have known them for many years. They try to do the right thing. I started coming here at the recommendation of a friend because I was getting sicker and sicker under the care of my HMO doctor, who said I was just stressed, suggested I had developed fibromyalgia (an unspecified wastebasket diagnosis) and gave me anti-depressants. I kept getting sicker and sicker over the course of two years until I was unable to work (I'm a musician and piano teacher), walk, and was suffering from adrenal issues, neurological issues, heart issues, severe brain fog and joint pain so bad that I was unable to do simple things like hold a fork in my hand to eat. I was starting to lose hope. At my first visit to Holtorf resulted Dr Laufer had me fill out an 11 page questionnaire and suggested it sounded like I had Lyme Disease. I told him that couldn't be the case because I had already been tested for that and my test came out negative. He asked to see my lab results from my HMO doctor and sure enough I had 4 out of 5 antibodies showing I did in fact have abnormal results specific to Lyme that my HMO doctor didn't tell me about, and I did recall getting a giant bite on my leg that had lasted about a month on my leg at the start of my illness that I had brushed off as a spider bite. Dr. Laufer suggested I take an Igenix test that is more accurate for testing for Lyme Disease and sure enough my results showed I was positive for Lyme. It's a shame my HMO doctor had ignored this possibility because what could have been 30 days of antibiotics at the start of my illness could have cured me but now two years down the road it has turned into a chronic condition that is so much more difficult to treat. Dr Laufer put me on antibiotics for a while and also tried newer, more cutting edge protocols that my HMO doctor wasn't even familiar with, things like Ozone therapy, LDI, and peptide therapy and I am now at the point where I am back to almost fully functioning now. Coming here was a godsend and I have since referred many friends here for complex issues that normal allopathic doctors cannot seem to even wrap their heads around. I highly suggest this clinic, their staff is professional and caring and I always have a wonderful experience here. Dr. Laufer spends a lot of time with me at my visits asking me about everything from sleep, digestive issues, metabolism and state of mind. He is compassionate and uses a combination of both prescription medications and supplements. I came here a couple years ago for chronic GI issues and potentially lyme. There are nice people working there, the IV team is good, front staff is responsive and caring. But I personally come to a clinic to have improvement in my health. I am saw Dr Wightman who was nice and professional but I'm 30 years old active and relatively fit, and he had me taking Testosterone injections, Subcutaneous peptide injections, IV blood ozone therapy, and numerous of their own supplements (never a good sign when the company sells and promotes their own very expensive supplements). As well most of my lab tests were WNL but they will give you supplements and treatments because your levels arn't 'optimal.' I consider myself lucky to have come out without lasting negative effects from those treatments. Overall I spent upwards of $6,000 dollars over half a year, with no symptom improvement. I felt more like a lab test subject with how many incredibly expensive alternative unproven therapies were given to me. Chronic illness is tough, if you think alterantive/natropathic medicine can be helpful and you are willing to pay for it, Holtorf is at least a postivie enviornment just be careful. read more

Carly is one of the rudest people I have ever met. Her customer service skills are HORRENDOUS. She isn't the only person I have had a horrific customer service experience with though, almost all of the front ladies are rude. I had to change my care of practice to a different facility due to these issues. It is sad because the Doctor was really nice. I feel this facility is extremely money hungry & the prices they charge are RIDICULOUS. I found a knowledgable Doctor with many years of experience located in Orange County who is wonderful! I am so happy I no longer go to this Medical Group. I do not recommend this facility, mainly due to the rude staff members that work here and the outrageous prices. read more
