When I first started seeing Dr. Lisa, it was life-changing. I had been struggling with constant fatigue, exhaustion, and a lack of energy, but for the first time, I finally felt normal again. She truly listened to me, took my symptoms seriously, and helped me get back to feeling like myself. When Dr. Lisa left, I panicked! I finally had a provider who truly understood me, and I wasn't sure what to do. But Christina, Dr. Lisa's MA at the time, reassured me that Dr. Evans was just as good, and she was absolutely right. From my first appointment with Dr. Evans, I was beyond impressed. She took the time to go over all of my blood work in detail, explained everything thoroughly, and really listened to what I wanted to achieve with my health. She made sure I felt comfortable and confident in my care moving forward. I had initially considered leaving to follow Dr. Lisa, but I'm so grateful I stayed. Dr. Evans and Kim have been everything I've needed and more. If you're searching for a provider who truly listens, understands, and provides exceptional care, look no further, Holtorf Medical Group is the place to go. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Evans at Holtorf Medical for over a year and the difference in my quality of life has been significant. She helped me finally get my Hashimoto's under control after years of feeling like something was off. Since working with her I've lost weight, my energy has improved, and I genuinely feel better in my body than I have in a long time. Dr. Evans actually listens. She digs into the details and treats you as a whole person, not just a set of labs. If you've been struggling with thyroid issues and feel like conventional medicine hasn't given you answers, I can't recommend her enough. Five stars without hesitation. read more

Dr. Evans has helped me so much in so many ways and honestly helped me my life. She was able to diagnose and successfully treat health problems I've suffered through for years that other doctors would brush off. She is caring and understanding and always takes as much time as needed to thoroughly discuss every treatment and question. Best of all she collaborates with me to find an individualized treatment plan that works for me and my body. She always considers how my body feels and doesn't just push the wrong (or no) treatment on me like other doctors in the past. She is innovative and always researching new things to help. Recently she and her staff worked with me on a successful weight loss program and helped me navigate all the insurance approvals (thanks, Kim for all your hard work to get the medication I really needed). In the last year I have gone from Obese to Overweight and have a plan to get to normal weight for the first time in over 25 years. I couldn't have done it without the advice and support of the team here and their focus on treating the whole patient instead of individual problems. This is the best I've felt since my 20s! read more

I can't say enough good things about Eduardo Zermeno, who works in the compounding lab at Holtorf. Every interaction with Eddy is marked by his professionalism, efficiency, and warm demeanor. He's not only incredibly courteous and speedy, but he also has a remarkable ability to bring a sense of calm to every encounter. What truly sets Eddy apart is his attention to detail and the way he remembers personal preferences and patient history--he goes above and beyond to optimize the experience. It's rare to find someone who blends technical skill with such genuine care for the patient experience. Holtorf is incredibly fortunate to have him on their team. I highly recommend Holtorf overall, and definitely encourage anyone receiving care there to connect with Eddy. He truly elevates the 5-star experience in a meaningful and lasting way! read more

The Holtorf Medical Group was absolutely amazing. Dr. Scott Mortensen is very knowledgeable and generous with his time. I've only gone twice, but I think he is the one Doctor Who is finally ordering the right tests for me. The staff is very nice, efficient and very helpful. read more

I've been a patient at Holtorf Medical Group for over a decade, and I can confidently say it is the most exceptional medical practice I've ever encountered. From the moment you walk through the door, the experience is warm and welcoming. The front desk staff--April and Melanie--are always cheerful and accommodating, setting a positive tone right away. Leti and Kim in billing and medical records are equally helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. The entire team, including the medical assistants, genuinely cares and is eager to support you in any way possible. Dr. Laufer has been an incredible resource for my mother, providing expert care in managing her thyroid and hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Evans, with her kind demeanor and calming energy, has an intuitive understanding of women's health and the nuanced, ever-evolving needs that come with it. Her approach feels both empathetic and deeply informed, which is rare and refreshing. The physician team remains consistently at the forefront of medical innovation, actively pursuing ongoing education in the latest technologies and treatments. Dr. Holtorf, in particular, is a distinguished leader in the field--having authored numerous publications and conducted extensive research, he stands as a pivotal figure in advancing modern integrative medicine. The IV therapy room is immaculate and well-appointed, offering cutting-edge treatments like Ozone IV therapy and Ozone insufflation for the ears and nose. I've personally used these to treat sinus infections with remarkable results--often resolving symptoms within 24 hours. I genuinely swear by Ozone IVs for their detoxifying and immune-supporting benefits. Dan and Theresa, who manage the IV treatments, are outstanding--skilled, professional, and so gentle that I barely feel the needle, which helps ease my anxiety every time. Beyond IV therapy, the clinic offers an impressive array of advanced integrative treatments. These include red light therapy, stem cell therapy, peptide treatments (oral and injectable), bio-identical hormone and thyroid therapies, exosome injections, and SOT therapy--which, in my case, played a pivotal role in resolving chronic Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and Lyme disease. The environment is pristine, the technology is state-of-the-art, and the staff is continually up to date on the latest in functional and regenerative medicine. One of the most remarkable aspects of Holtorf Medical Group is that the physicians truly take the time to understand you--not just your symptoms, but your lifestyle, habits, and goals. The care is deeply personalized and empowering, aimed at helping you achieve lasting wellness. Ironically, the reason I don't visit as frequently anymore is because their treatments worked so well that I simply don't need to--which is a testament to their effectiveness, though I genuinely miss seeing the team, who became like family to me. Even if you're not seeking traditional care, their IV therapy offerings alone--such as NAD+, glutathione, high-dose vitamin infusions, and more--are transformative. I recommend meeting with a doctor initially and having comprehensive labs done, so your treatment plan can be customized to your unique needs and health goals. I've confidently referred my closest friends, family, and even top-tier clients to Holtorf Medical Group, knowing they will receive exceptional, truly transformative care. If you're considering making an appointment, don't hesitate--it could genuinely change your life. read more

I have been going here for many years. My doctor changed my meds then he went on a long, needed vacation. Now I am having issues and his partners won't help me. My Dr is wonderful but the office processes are not good. I am left like a lab rat to practice medicine on my own. There's a new office manager every year. My faxes get lost and there's such a disconnect with management. There are wonderful people there too. I have known them for many years. They try to do the right thing. But whenever my Dr goes on vacation I am left to flounder. Emily was the best at fixing these types of things but she has moved on. Maybe leadership needs to figure out how to help new people in dire straights. read more

Very unprofessional. Horrible. Canceled the first time. We waited two months. Then claimed they called to confirm and canceled our appointment AGAIN. We never canceled... my husband left work early and we waited 2 months for this appointment to get canceled AGAIN??!! Normally, text messages are sent out and we can text back YES and be done w it. We are both extremely busy professionals. We do not have time for games. If I did not call to cancel, do not cancel my appointment. If I say I am coming I am coming and normally if you fail to show a fee is applied....so again highly unprofessional rude and unapologetic about it --both staff we spoke to and a woman named Carly...insane...they are ungrateful for the business is what I took from that interaction. I had heard about Holtorf through a family member who was treated for chronic Lyme and vastly improved after treatment here. I had various health issues pop up throughout the year prior such as swollen painful lymph node, constant tinnitus (that would wake me from my sleep), fatigue and body aches. I eventually had to stop working when the severe insomnia developed. Dr. Evans and her assistant Kimberly have been amazing. Dr. Evans did thorough labs and found EBV, mold toxins, inflammation and some autoimmune issues. She is competent, caring and everything you want in a provider. She has an incredible toolbox of treatment options to improve your health. Kimberly has been so quick, responsive and kind. Grateful for Dr. Evans, Kimberly and Holtorf. read more

Dr Elaine, Mariana, and the entire Holtorf team have been such a profound support! As someone who has had multiple mysterious symptoms for many years, I can't express how refreshing and inspiring it is to have a doctor with such a clear plan and roadmap for how to not only overcome current challenges, but also for a life of longevity. I used to have to push for more testing with other functional medicine doctors, and have found this team very proactive and preventative in their approach. Even after just a short time implementing their protocol, I feel much more like myself, and have full confidence that I'll be able to heal and have the meaningful experience of life that I've always wanted. Their knowledge is so helpful, and I'm recommending them to all my closest loved ones! Cannot speak highly enough of them. read more

I've been treating at Holtorf for just under 5 years now - it is my go to spot for holistic health care as someone treating multiple autoimmune diseases, lyme and several co-infections and ebv. I transferred to Dr. Laufer last August when my previous doc left the practice. But I hit the jackpot! Since working with Dr. Laufer, several of my viral and bacterial loads have gone fully into remission. His plan for me has been tremendously effective and relieving. He fully supported me when I made the decision to do a full scale stem cell infusion in Panama. My integration with him post stem cell treatment has been phenomenal. He's had my back every step of the way. Laufer prioritizes my wellness, using the labwork as data but treats my person first - we go by all sources of information. I feel heard, seen and cared for by him and I can always trust he will be honest, direct with me. Thanks Doc and Holtorf! read more

I started coming here at the recommendation of a friend because I was getting sicker and sicker under the care of my HMO doctor, who said I was just stressed, suggested I had developed fibromyalgia (an unspecified wastebasket diagnosis) and gave me anti-depressants. I kept getting sicker and sicker over the course of two years until I was unable to work (I'm a musician and piano teacher), walk, and was suffering from adrenal issues, neurological issues, heart issues, severe brain fog and joint pain so bad that I was unable to do simple things like hold a fork in my hand to eat. I was starting to lose hope. At my first visit to Holtorf resulted Dr Laufer had me fill out an 11 page questionnaire and suggested it sounded like I had Lyme Disease. I told him that couldn't be the case because I had already been tested for that and my test came out negative. He asked to see my lab results from my HMO doctor and sure enough I had 4 out of 5 antibodies showing I did in fact have abnormal results specific to Lyme that my HMO doctor didn't tell me about, and I did recall getting a giant bite on my leg that had lasted about a month on my leg at the start of my illness that I had brushed off as a spider bite. Dr. Laufer suggested I take an Igenix test that is more accurate for testing for Lyme Disease and sure enough my results showed I was positive for Lyme. It's a shame my HMO doctor had ignored this possibility because what could have been 30 days of antibiotics at the start of my illness could have cured me but now two years down the road it has turned into a chronic condition that is so much more difficult to treat. Dr Laufer put me on antibiotics for a while and also tried newer, more cutting edge protocols that my HMO doctor wasn't even familiar with, things like Ozone therapy, LDI, and peptide therapy and I am now at the point where I am back to almost fully functioning now. Coming here was a godsend and I have since referred many friends here for complex issues that normal allopathic doctors cannot seem to even wrap their heads around. I highly suggest this clinic, their staff is professional and caring and I always have a wonderful experience here. Dr. Laufer spends a lot of time with me at my visits asking me about everything from sleep, digestive issues, metabolism and state of mind. He is compassionate and uses a combination of both prescription medications and supplements. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Holtorf, and would suggest it to anyone looking for answers that traditional doctors brush off as psychological issues. I found my answers and amazing treatment here. read more

Big fan of the practice staff and doctors. I was sick for some time and they were the original team who diagnosed me with Lyme, which allowed me to then start my healing journey. Best physician I've ever had. She was incredibly thorough. It's expensive, out of network, yadda yadda. Long story short, if you are struggling with an illness like an autoimmune and not getting much traction in treating it, try here. I've never had a doctor delve into my case so deeply and discover so much just on the first visit alone. By visit number 2, we'd practically discovered the root cause. It was remarkable. They use all the resources available & do extensive testing but that's what allows them to properly treat. I'm so grateful for Dr. Evans and her team. They are progressive and open to alternative treatments. They also keep up with the latest trends in medicine unlike other physicians I've seen who seem to be stuck on the medical books they used 30 yrs. prior in medical school. Medicine is an art and requires dedication and a constant commitment by the physicians who practice it to stay up to date. Dr. Evans is simply the best. I should also note 3 of my colleagues go here as well and everyone of them is happy with the care they've received. read more

I've been a patient of Holtorf Medical Group for years... they stabilized my immune system and my endocrine disorder. They've helped me have energy and hope for operating with my endocrine disorder. At times, I've considered switching to a different doctor, but the assistant, Kim, that I deal with always goes above and beyond to help me get me get my questions answered, communicate with my doctor, etc. I've called or emailed Kim multiple times in a pinch and she's not only incredibly prompt, but ALWAYS reliable and informative and delivers the kind of service we wish all doctor's offices would execute. I started coming to Holtorf in July 2022, and this clinic is top notch, one of the best. After battling with chronic illness (lyme, metals, mold and overall being unwell) they truly got me to a place where I have my life back and am better than before. It took time, hardwork and consistency but my labs are the best they have been in 12 years. I love the staff, the nurses are the BEST I have had after doing hundreds of IV therapy and the Dr.'s really are compassionate and know their stuff on how to get you better but addressing root problems. After being diagnosed with Hashimoto's, I sought out Holtorf for top-notch healthcare. If you're dealing with a thyroid issue, I highly recommend consulting a specialist who comprehensively understands the disorder and can effectively interpret your blood test results. Holtorf excels in this regard, possessing a deeper understanding of thyroid health compared to the average doctor. Personally, I'm under the care of Dr. Evans, a naturopath advocating a holistic approach blending both Eastern and Western styles. This involves medication, dietary adjustments, and supplements. Dr. Evans oversees my overall well-being, including hormone replacement care. Kim, Dr. Evans' manager, ensures everything operates seamlessly for me. I want to express gratitude to Eddie in the dispensary, who not only handles my prescriptions from Holtorf but also assists with the various Holtorf-branded supplements I rely on - a pleasure to work with. if you're seeking comprehensive care for both your mind and body, beyond just addressing symptoms or relying solely on a blood test, this is the ideal place for that kind of holistic treatment. read more

I came here a couple years ago for chronic GI issues and potentially lyme. There are nice people working there, the IV team is good, front staff is responsive and caring. But I personally come to a clinic to have improvement in my health. I am saw Dr Wightman who was nice and professional but I'm 30 years old active and relatively fit, and he had me taking Testosterone injections, Subcutaneous peptide injections, IV blood ozone therapy, and numerous of their own supplements (never a good sign when the company sells and promotes their own very expensive supplements). As well most of my lab tests were WNL but they will give you supplements and treatments because your levels arn't 'optimal.' I consider myself lucky to have come out without lasting negative effects from those treatments. Overall I spent upwards of $6,000 dollars over half a year, with no symptom improvement. I felt more like a lab test subject with how many incredibly expensive alternative unproven therapies were given to me. Chronic illness is tough, if you think alterantive/natropathic medicine can be helpful and you are willing to pay for it, Holtorf is at least a postivie enviornment just be careful. read more

A good friend of mine referred me to Holtorf due to the significant positive impact they made on her health. I have now been a client for a little over two years. I have multiple significant medical issues and was struggling to get some straight and consistent answers and recommendations from my physicians. Another friend suggested I go to an endocrinologist and then this suggestion to Holtorf and Dr. Evans as a naturopathic doctor, I was very optimistic. Dr. Evans completely exceeded my expectations. Dr. Evans listens, reviews your medical records, and treats you as a whole person. I was skeptical at first about the supplements, but together with suggestions about my diet, my fatigue is significantly improved. I am also working with Dr. Evans to focus on some other health concerns, and together we are being successful. The entire staff at Holtorf is exceptional.
