AMAZING AS ALWAYS. Portions are huge and priced reasonably. Ordered pick up and they were super friendly! I highly recommend the club. So good! Check them out! They also have homemade soup that rotates daily!

My book club has met at Hawkeye's a couple times due to the central location. Free parking can be found in the parking lot (usually full) and on the street. Credit cards are accepted. Tabs are easily split. Happy Hour is offered throughout the entire restaurant Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm. Happy Hour is offered all day on Sunday's. Complimentary peanuts are offered on Thursday's. Hawkeye's offers a full bar, outdoor seating, a pool table and several TVs. Food is standard bar grub. Noise levels are always loud. Pitcher's of Manny's were $12.25 (hh). My bestie and I shared a Dinner Salad for $5.95: mixed greens, tomato, mushrooms, bacon bits and croutons. We were both impressed with this salad. We also shared the Chicken Quesadilla for $6.50 (hh): grilled chicken, green onions, tomato and cheddar cheese. Served with salsa and sour cream. A perfect snack to compliment our beers. Staff is slow and inconsistent. Most of the time the staff is friendly. Overall, Hawkeye's is a great place to refuel after a day of hiking or to throw back a few after a long work week. Hawkeye's is not ideal for book club meetings or any other types of meetings that require actually listening to a conversation due to the loud noise levels.

For the many times I've been here it's funny I never did a review. If you're expecting some quiet fancy restaurant, this is not that. It's a PUB and sports bar. Yes, of course kids are welcome but it's also a place where many regulars come to drink and play pull tabs. I love the French fries, apps and some sandwiches but it is bar style food and reasonably priced. The staff is super nice and will remember you. It's a fun spot and nice to have in town when things are actually open. They also do serve breakfast on weekends which about half our restaurants don't so that's nice too.

In long We heard great things about this place even before it opened; the grapevine just had awesome news about this space finally turning into something that would stick. We pulled up today and immediately noticed the outdoor play area for the kids. It's cordoned off by oak wine barrels, so they're kinda blending their concepts artfully before you even walk in. We're not *that* local, but we definitely buy the idea that there are few, if any, great kid-friendly places around here. Inside, it might be pretty packed already. There are big heavy wooden tables, with more upstairs. You can push them together for groups. You get laminated menus, and they do have table service, or you can order at the counter. They very carefully manage all their beers, wines, ciders, canned cocktails, and so on. Rumor has it they lured a brewer away from Urban Family and will be churning out their own stuff soon. We checked out 2 things from the regular menu and 3 from the HH menu. It wasn't too packed at first, but by 4:00 the regulars, families, and HH crowd were really filling it up. Wines We tried the pinot grigio, red blend, chardonnay, and rosé from the by-the-glass menu. They're all good enough to order most any place, and finding them by the glass shows they're putting real thought into all the details here. Miso pickles Absolutely ridiculously good. Nice seasoning, tart miso flavor, crunchy fresh cauliflower, carrot, and cukes. Would not only order again but attempt to reverse-engineer these and have them at home. Great HH value. Fried pickles Great with or without the cheese that's softened on some (but not all) of the piles. Awesome dipping crema with a bit of kick from hot peppery seasoning. Drummies No longer offered with green buffalo sauce, which sounds like a sad farewell, based on the description of it (jalapeño & vinegary hot sauce, I think). But the gochujang was buttery and peppery. They pressure-fry the wings so they are crazy tender and moist. Humongous drums, too. Awesome HH value--true, you get only 2, but there's plenty of veg in the bowl. Smashburger Another fantastic HH menu item. Nice fresh crunchy toppings, hearty roll, and beautifully seasoned and cooked patty. Not too crunchy, which I appreciate. Easy to imagine someone ordering more than one and getting way too full. Smokey Dipper Regular menu. Awesome grilled steak flavor to the meat, got some salty broccoli mixed in for crunch and variety. The broc would be a good appetizer on its own! Hearty, savory jus, and the onion rings are out of this world. Even I couldn't finish them all, despite how great they tasted. Super generous portion. The staff here are all free spirits and great conversationalists, which is super nice to see. Nothing about this place feels like a chain in any way, although they clearly put real money into the buildout. Such a welcome addition to Lake.

I've passed by this establishment and always wondered about it. At first entrance it was amazing…read morethe vibes were right! We quickly were able to find a table and were greeted by such a wonderful waitress. She was truly a gem. She bantered with us and gave us speedy top notch service. However, this part does not reflect her or anyone foh; I ordered the fish and chip bucket and was presented with what I can only describe as the box of turkish delights bequeathed to Edmund in the chronicles of Narnia. That night I ended up praising my toilet all night. I thought maybe someone spiked my 6 beers but then remembered I only had the 2. I haven't been sicker than a got dang dog like that in a real long time. I don't think there's anyway to describe the scene in my bathroom other than 1970s Vietnam war crimes. Once again Service was great. Waitstaff was so fun. I just didn't enjoy the side of food poisoning that was given to me. The best part is because of the waitstaff I Will probably go again! (after I forget what it tasted like coming back up of course)

They've always seemed just okay to me, but this one was perfectly fine today. In long This is kind of a nice strip mall complex, as these things go. BI has an end unit with a dining room toward the front and a lounge tucked in back. Both were busy today with a late-breakfast crowd. I had some time to kill and figured I wouldn't feel too bad taking up a table at a place this big. They're promoting breakfast with a big banner out front at the moment, which it turns out you order at the counter. I'm immediately guilt-free about taking up a table if they aren't sending servers out, just expediters. Dig it. They put a tray of ice waters on the counter--they've clearly dialed up the at-the-counter vibe to near table-service levels. I got an omelet and a coffee. They gave me a little table number and the expo brought my stuff out pretty quickly. I gotta say both the girls working today were super friendly and nice and made the place feel much more welcoming than another BI I hit a while back. The coffee here was surprisingly good--not overly roasted, solid flavor. The mug was from the roaster, whose name I've already forgotten. Kinda showing some pride in their coffee efforts. The food was decent. Clearly everything was out of a bag--processed cheese, egg mix rather than cracked shells. But good, despite the cheese being a little gluey. Hash browns had good flavor and crunch, biscuit was alright, too. Easy to finish, even though this was a little more food than I really needed today. Prices here are very fair. And I gotta say that big groups of friends filled every table and half the booths. Both rooms of the lounge were hoppin', too, and it was in between typical rush hours for breakfast or lunch. I think this BI might be the more-dependable link in the chain.
