Hawkeye is above and beyond at what they do, there is absolutely no comparison. I have had TWO home inspections with Hawkeye, both times my inspector was Mr. Michael Howe. These two houses were very, very different and yet each home inspection was personalized to the house, provided with a level of detail and thoroughness beyond what I could even ask for, and done with such an overall pleasant and reassuring attitude! Mr. Howe is professional, kind, and easy to work with and has an overwhelming amount of intelligence and skill at what he does. The company in general is fantastic to work with--- when my first home fell through, they gave me a discount on the second inspection for my new house, and they gave me every discount that they could find -- WITHOUT me asking for it. They are truly a blessing to know about and I would never go to another company. They have actually been the only breath of fresh air in the entire process of home buying this far (which can be very frustrating)! Most importantly they are HONEST. My inspector told me things that could save me money in both the short and long term, and made it clear that if I had any questions after the fact (or even down the road in the future) that he was available to assist. It is very rare to find a company that stands by such great values and service so they really deserve this long review. Nick provided an exceptional inspection. I left feeling like I had a really good sense of the problem areas in the home and places that needed attention. He was very informative, polite, and thorough. The house was not easy to inspect due to the tenants overwhelming amount of clutter. But Nick was patient and did what he could. And despite the clutter was very thorough. Susana was so kind and reassuring when she returned my initial phone call. I felt comfortable right off the bat, and I am so happy I chose Hawkeye in the end (just like she promised I would be). I am really impressed with the follow up from Peter as well. When I booked my appointment with Hawkeye Home Inspections, the office staff put me at ease and was extremely helpful. I am thinking about downsizing and needed a pre-inspection where I would learn the condition of my home before putting it on the market. My inspector, Peter Ottowitz, was so informative pointing out details I had never even noticed as we went through my home. When he took the door off my electric panel to examine the wiring, he discovered it was missing three screws and he happily replaced them with spare parts he carries in his bag. My real estate broker recommended Hawkeye after we used Tiger and the deal fell through. The Tiger guy had blown through the entire inspection in an hour, and it felt rushed. We used Hawkeye for the next property we put an offer on and I was extremely satisfied. Nick Palmer was absolutely amazing. From the moment I got there to second I left, I felt like I was in good hands. He took the the time to explain is detail all of the little things that needed attention. Having never purchased a home before, I was very nervous going into the home inspection, but after meeting Peter within just one minute I knew there was no reason to be nervous. I used Hawkeye for a home inspection last month. Antony Mazzola was the assigned inspector . As first time home buyers we were novices on the different aspects of an inspection . Antony did an outstanding job by explaining in detail every point on the inspection checklist . He did this during the inspection process, so we got to learn a lot about the home and its maintenance. It gave us confidence on the deal we were getting into. He was very patient in answering all our questions sometimes even going into technical details. As a bonus, he brought in snacks,water and soda which was a pleasant surprise.They turned in the report in 2 days and overall we were extremely satisfied with the experience. This is the second time that Peter Ottowitz performed home inspection for me and I am 100% satisfied with his excellent performance. In both cases it was done very professionally and while he was inspecting, giving me detailed explanations about the inspected items.
