This is a really cool spot. We stopped here on an annual pub crawl and it happened to coincide with the River Rally Benefit Run featuring Jesse James Dupree of Jackyl. Since we were there, I got a pic with him even though he wasn't very friendly. They were offering helicopter rides and wish I could have gone! Lots of space and really cool views right on the river. Cheap drinks/ice cold beer and I really mean ice cold which is oddly difficult to come by. We didn't have the BBQ but it smelled fantastic.

Some of the best BBQ I've had period. Ribs were meaty and cooked to perfection. Sauce was good, but absolutely no sauce was needed for these. Service was great. We will DEFINITELY be back.

New menu & new ownership. It wasn't evident that there was a new menu when we went for lunch. Food wasn't anything special even though their known for the pulled pork it was run of the mill to me. 10 minute walk from other bars in Grafton, but a nice easy walk. Server was nice and polite.

Free WiFi. This place is a biker bar. It sits right on the Mississippi River. Great views of the river if you sit in the back. There is plenty of outside seating in the front and back. No air conditioning. Lots of fans running. The waitresses will take your drink order then you have to go to the counter to order your food. No French fries! This was my fiancé's biggest complaint. If you order water you will get a bottle of water which I thought was nice. No credit cards accepted but they do have an atm machine inside. Lots of parking. My fiancé ordered the pulled pork and a hamburger. He loved his. I ordered ribs and I didn't care for mine. The ribs come in a cup?!?

Well no fries and no salad on the menu. Just meat. Place is for sale so looks like cutting food to try to maximize profit margin. Again no fries. So we had beef kabob. Was ok but had to pick off the purple plastic wrapper that was grilled on it and we treated ourselves to a 1/6 inch pork steak for 8 bucks. Again no fries. But being serious. Pork steak was maybe 1/6 of an inch. I get it. Your for sale. It showed today.

The food is very good....had the Pork Steak and the wife had the Pulled Pork Sandwich.....both were very good. The service was fast and friendly. Very eclectic people here....great atmosphere!!!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Grafton or just cruising the Great River Road!!!

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and 3rd Chute was packed. They do have multiple bars and places to sit on the 3 levels and was able to find some seating. Servers were pretty busy and took a minute to get menus, are drink order and listen to the specials. 3rd Chute does have live music on weekends which was very good. 3rd Chute is a pretty cool place, Lots of great decor everywhere you look which gives the place that cool bar and grill feeling. We started with some mini corn dog appetizers and some Mac and cheese poppers, a fried blend of macaroni and pepper jack cheese fried to perfection. We also ordered a classic cheeseburger with fries, pork tenderloin sandwich, pulled pork sandwich with fries and a grilled hot dog with fries. It took a few minutes to get our food with how busy the place was. Our server did check up on us to make sure our drinks were topped off. Food was cooked to order and was a good portion for those with a hearty appetite. There are several other bar and grills in close proximity to 3rd Chute. Most other places had more seafood options, which unfortunately we had allergies to. 3rd Chute's menu had all the classic food options a great bar and grill usually has available. 3Rd Chute Bar and Grill was a cool experience and highly recommend if you're visiting Grafton and looking for some good food with reasonable prices. We'll be back!

So the person who wanted the burger was SOL Instead ordered three omelets and a side of biscuits and gravy. Then we sat for an hour. No drink refills. No "sorry! It should be coming out shortly!" We were tired and hungry and really to call it a day. It took 10minutes to even flag down our waitress which happened only after she brought another table's food out that came in after us. It's easy to keep track when there is only about 5 tables with people in them. She then said they were just about done with our order. 5 more minutes (either it was impeccable timing or our order was lost for a short time). And they still forgot the biscuits and gravy. The hashbrowns were extra crunchy/overdone., The omelet and biscuit and gravy were good. Bloody Mary's were fantastic! But there are plenty of places in the area where I can get the same. Probably won't be back.

I've ordered a variety of different breakfasts and have never been disappointed. My recent outing, I enjoyed their Chicken Fried Steak with a side of scrambled eggs, Hash Browns and a Biscuit. When the waitress asked if I wanted Hash Browns or American Fries, I asked her what her favorite was and she said Hash Browns and she recommended adding onions. I took her advice and she was so right. I also liked that they put the Milk Gravy on the side, so I could add it to my Chicken Fried Steak and to my fluffy biscuit. Another thing that I like here, is their seasoning. They do not over salt in the preparation. The service here is friendly and attentive. I typically sit at the small counter, so I do not tie up one of the tables dining alone. One of the advantages of sitting at the counter, my coffee cup is never empty. The BBQ counter is near the entrance and kitchen. The BBQ menu is in a acrylic on the counter and also on a wipe board hanging on the wall. When I visit a new BBQ place, I always try their ribs and brisket. Here, I ordered the ribs ala carte and the brisket in a meal. The meal came with only one side and it's a half pound serving. That's a big helping of a side dish. I wish they offered two smaller portions as the side, like most BBQ joints do. I asked the young girl working which sides were made in house and it took her by surprise. I then asked if some of the sides came from a food vendor. Then she stammered the answer, "I've heard him say, that he makes them all." I ended up ordering the Smoked Beans. I'm picky about my beans and these lacked seasoning and were bland. The brisket was cut thick and was on the chewy side. I prefer my brisket cut thinner and much more tender. My order of ribs, shocked me. They were the first ribs that I ever had that did not have the membrane on the back of the ribs removed. The ribs did have good seasoning, since the membrane was not removed, they were tough. They had a 2" thick pork steak on the menu. I guess I'll have to come back and give that a try with a different side. If the pork steak disappoints me, I wont be back. The staff were friendly, but not overly friendly. Also, I don't think the cashier was knowledgeable about the product she was selling.
