I have always said, if you're eating BBQ, you've got have a side of Baked Beans. Another of my crazy rules is, Potato Salad must be made with Red Potatoes. So when I saw that they advertised their potato salad with red potatoes, I knew I had to have it. The Baked Beans had chunks of brisket in it, which added extra flavor. Even though the potato salad was made with red ones, it needed more white pepper and some more seasonings to make it kick. In addition to the two sides, the platter came with a piece of Jalapeño Cornbread. I'm a jalapeño addict, so it was a winner for me. It was moist and had plenty of little pieces of jalapeños to give it the perfect kick. The young lady at the counter was very perky and made the ordering process easy and smooth. My bartender was friendly and hustled taking care of bar customers and guest who showed up at the take-out window. I arrived around 11:30 AM and soon after, the restaurant filled up inside and on the patio. I was surprised how busy the take-out window was. I guess some folks wanted an easy Memorial Day, too.
