They canceled our original VRBO Oahu rentals twice, offering a different property each time via email for houses that were listed on VRBO. They sent an email with a link to book through Rental Advisor instead of VRBO, which would have been protected by VRBO's Book with Confidence Guarantee. Because this whole process seemed fishy and Rental Advisor was not forthcoming about renter protections I decided to go deep enough into the booking process to see their Renter Agreement, in which I found the property address. I searched the property on Google Maps and found the house in a rundown neighborhood nowhere near ocean beaches (like the rental "bait"). Needless to say I canceled the original rentals (twice, because they actually listed TWO great-looking rentals on Oahu as "bait.") I feel for the folks who actually ended up in some of their properties and had ruined vacations. I'm a pretty savvy traveler and even I almost fell for their scams. STAY AWAY! The photos: The one in the daylight was the "bait," the one taken at night is the "switch" (pretty nice, huh?) and the street is where the house is located.

After my review was posted on VRBO- they had it taken down. Said I threatened to leave a bad review if I was not compensated for having to spend two of the hottest nights in a hotel! We were definitely well within the Covid guidelines of a return policy, but they wouldn't give one so we agreed to just using the credit at a later. After that they more than able to cancel it and tried to reschedule us for the spring . Their availability went away every time. Every few months we would attempt to make a booking, but they were always full. (interesting right ?) Next thing you know two years plus go by. Now she says she's unable to give us any compensation or credit because we're past the two years. It's not our fault they did not have availability. Don't book your stay here. The owners have every intention to get money out of you and lack any type of customer service. Worst customer service and just the worst selfish people. Shameful No damage was done on the property, as stated on the invoice this is normal wear and tear. Also this is a two unit property shared garage cans. With another tenant who also used the garbage cans, where we even helped our senior lower unit tenant dump her garbage the day we moved out, And when we moved in the cans were full and we had to request it to be removed. We have emails showing the cans were full and removed with rental company. Returning property as it was found, no damage done to the property. Normal wear and tear on the invoice and some are not even real. Duck tape so rodents don't go in the house.. wear and tear! And all health issues gone since moving out Security deposit can not be deducted for no damage and just wear and tear, as seen on invoice to the property. The towel bar was like 40 years old! Sean and Cathy can kick rocks with slippers on. Extremely unprofessional and unethical.
