I cannot say enough amazing things about Kamryn at Hawaii Brow Studio--she truly saved my brows. Before coming to her, I had been struggling with my brows from a previous artist. Even though I stayed consistent with my touch-ups and followed all aftercare instructions, my brows would fade so quickly and always turned into this unflattering red undertone. On top of that, my right brow was consistently lighter than my left, and despite bringing it up multiple times, I never received a clear explanation or solution. It was honestly so frustrating. From the moment I sat in Kamryn's chair, I could tell I was in the right hands. She took her time mapping out my brows and walked me through everything--from why my previous work was fading red to the differences in pigments and ink types. That level of education and transparency meant so much to me. You can tell she truly understands her craft and cares about doing things the right way. Her precision is unmatched. She works so intentionally and detail-oriented, yet still manages her time so well--I was able to get to my next appointment right after (my lashes lol), which I really appreciated. Overall amazing experience! First impression, it's so easy to find, located in the Aiea Shopping area. Parking is free and there's tons of parking, it's a typical shopping center style parking. The studio is located on the second floor, when you walk in theres a beautiful photo wall for all your aesthetic selfies when you're done. The entire area was so sanitary, the office was clean and organized. Next, Brows; Kamryn took the right amount of time mapping out my brows making sure the shape was right and everything was in place. I explained that I wanted my brows to be full enough, that it looks complete but I also didn't want them too dramatic when I didn't have makeup on. She was very open to my input and gave her advice based on my request and how I'd wear my brows everyday. The entire experience was painless. This is how my experience went with Kamryn. One of her students brought me in to be a model for powder ombré brows. Her student was not ready to do eyebrows yet so naturally I went to her. (Of course, when you're a model, you get discounted, which she said on Yelp.) I only booked with her on her Instagram account, where she does not have any policies on her page, nor did she tell me about them in the conversation. I notified her and asked if I could reschedule my appointment and that I was not able to make it. She had zero patience as well as a lack of understanding. I tried to make up for my mistake and proceeded to be unprofessional when I asked to reschedule. She said I'm trying to slander her 5-star business because of my review on Yelp and my post of our conversation on social media, which she laughed at. Clearly, she cannot take any criticism about her business; you should listen to your reviews and fix your mistakes rather than be petty. Unfortunately, people are going to leave reviews and talk about what happened in their experience with the business. Having to choose an artist to do a semi-permanent tattoo on your face is very stressful. After all, it is your face! I've been watching several artists on IG for quite some time and finally decided to go with Kamryn at Hawaii Brow Studio. Kamryn is very knowledgable in her craft and was able to explain exactly what she was doing to me with reasoning behind it. Communication is key which helped ease my anxiety and led to trusting her. Kamryn is an incredible trainer! Gosh where do I start ? I took her 1-on-1 ombre brows course and she was extremely thorough and REALLY made sure that I could confidently do the technique. She not only cares that you can perform the technique to her highest standards but she makes sure that you can make an efficient business. There are not a lot of people that really guide you AFTER the training is done so this was a big highlight for me. She lets me shadow her other clients and makes me feel so comfortable to ask all the questions I want (and boy do I ask a lot of questions). She answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns, even after my appointment throughout the healing phase.
