I already paid for my service in full nor do I want a refund, so there is no reason for me to make up a fictitious story about my appointment. I never leave bad reviews for businesses but my experience with the technician/co-owner, Creeland was too problematic to not say anything. I shared my first-hand experience and I stand by what I wrote and how I felt. First of all, I was not aware that the appointment was being recorded and I did not consent to being recorded. That's very concerning that a client's private session within a treatment room is recorded. I would expect a high level of privacy in closed room ESPECIALLY in a beauty salon where clients are getting various treatments done. Additionally before my appointment, I asked specifically if I could keep my contacts in and was told to remove it. Without my contacts, I can't see anything. So I'm not in a position to read or review anything posted at the door. I would think that a verbal consent would be done prior to being recorded. I also understand that clients may choose whether they want to chat during a service. That does not change the fact that the conversation I experienced included unsolicited and deeply uncomfortable topics and comments. I did not mind the conversation until it spiraled into something inappropriate. I'm not interested in debating my personal experience publicly. As a business owner in a predominantly women serving field, instead of dismissing a concern, maybe addressing what occurred should've been the first step. I would have appreciated a response that acknowledged my experience rather than simply disputing it and then trying to get my review removed.

Located in the West Commercial Plaza, Ami's Nail Salon is a clean, typical Nail Salon with Pedicure chairs, Nail stations, and a private waxing room. The tight, free, shared parking lot might be the main obstacle because this plaza is on the busy side. Other businesses here include Nanding's Bakery, Fratelli Express, Chiropractic Clinic, and Diagnostic Laboratory Services. An elderly gentleman was my technician. He had a rather gruff demeanor. He would state commands such as, "Both feet up". He patted my feet like "stay here". However, I let him upgrade me to the $25 "Basic Pedicure" since he implied that the leg massage would be better. Haha! Overall, it was an ok experience. It wasn't the best because I have had better foot massages. There was none here. I had to turn the back massage feature on the chair myself, and I started looking through the nail color palettes on my own. Maybe I'll try the $19.99 deal next time. I'm updating on the healing process after the first round of ombre powder brows over previous work (ombre powder and microblading by other artists). I followed the procedures given to me by Jee. LOVED that she texted them to me along with care cards included in my aftercare package. I used ice packs, that helped with the swelling and sunburn sensation a lot. My skin type is oily and with the previous artist that did ombre powder brows, a lot of the ink fell out quickly within months. So to help with ink retention we did the aftercare a bit differently. After a while the normal healing process happened. This includes flaking, peeling and itching. This lasted about 4 weeks for me until the final scab fell off. Then the brows appeared lighter for a while because new skin was growing under the scabs. Then finally the color came back. I asked for more dramatic make-up looking brows instead of natural ones because I was afraid of them fading again so fast. And she did not disappoint!
