This place was fine while I was there, paying them. Granted, there were a lot of troubled older teens without a real issue, so it was hard to focus on my sobriety. The fact that it is more like a prison for rich kids says something, but I was still able to find my way. My main issue is what happened after I left. I needed proof that I was staying there and getting treatment for my addiction, which they would not supply. This caused my college to fail me in classes and dropped my GPA to a level I will never recover from. Additionally, they released a newsletter that printed my sobriety date falsely. They said I relapsed on print. This is inexcusable to do to someone early in sobriety. It's hard enough staying sober without your old rehab messing with you. They committed libel, and I probably should have sued. Had my family seen that newsletter, they would not have spoken to me for years. I guess I got lucky that no one read it. I am still sober (over 15 years!) despite their efforts or lack thereof. Needless to say, they did not help with my long-term sobriety. They were detrimental to it. Probably in their best interest for people to relapse, then they can bill you again and take you back. I stayed sober by avoiding this place like the plague once I got out. Lastly, what Cade said in an early review was true about one of their employees sleeping with one of the female residents. Generally, the women who stay there have it a little easier and get away with more. I guess that is why a lot of these 5-star reviews are by woman.

I stayed at their womens home for two years and it was truly a blessing. They are the real deal, if you want recovery this is the place to come to. They keep it safe, clean, and they care for everyone who walks through those doors. I was lucky enough to become the house manager for a period of time and it was a great experience. Because of Faith recovery I was able to help women get recovery, learn to love themselves and gain back the life skills we lose when we're out using or drinking. I was able to do this all because of the high standard of care they make sure their clients get. I would send anyone I know and love to this center. Thank you Diana for what you provide to the community!

Also, I think the food is good. I've never been to such a facility before, but the food exceeds what I had assumed it would be. I'm 67- feeling stronger and healthier each day; i've been here one week, exactly on New Year's Eve I recommend to transfer here on a weekday instead of weekend when certain staff members aren't here

The facility itself is very clean and well-maintained, which gave us peace of mind. We're grateful for the support and care she's received and would definitely recommend this place to others seeking a compassionate rehab environment. Awesome MDS coordinator and staff! Thank you.

Kelly was always down to earth and ready to help from the start. All I had to do was bring my game face and be ready to get it done and the staff did the rest. This is the best place in Long Beach to take care of this misery. Look no further because these are true professionals. This was truly the worst experience of my life, having to go through and suffer with a situation like this. Their staff is so good. I went into this thinking I was gonna have to watch a bunch of videos about people getting killed by drunk drivers. I couldn't be more wrong. This program focuses on mental health, rehabilitation, and they are sincerely kind and non-judgmental of everyone. I will never in my life need their services again, however, I can tell you, if you are looking for a program in the long beach area, this is the place to go. I'm a licensed mental health professional and I can fully vouch for their legitimacy. They are strict about timeliness and attendance, but why wouldn't they be? They need to satisfy the requirements of the courts and need to do what they have to do. I can honestly say that I feel so lucky that I managed to find them, although I will never, ever need them again. And if in some rare miracle that I did, I know they would welcome me with open arms.

The rest of the staff were great. Since most were in recovery, they understood what we were going through and were always available to help. Staff is available 24/7. The houses I stayed at were nice and clean and full of food (you could even request food you liked and they'd get it from the store for you). They have a tele dr and psychiatrist on call. The first week you are on detox so can't leave the house for AA/NA meetings or outings but after that you can go to the gym etc. They took us to lunch after a meeting and shopping around the holidays, which was nice. We'd go on walks, they'd have people in to teach yoga, hold sound baths, do art therapy, music therapy with a cat and educational classes about drugs effects. There was a jacuzzi tub in the one room which was nice :) I'd recommend a stay at Gratitude Lodge. But it's important to continue with your sobriety. I had to end up doing 6 months in residential and intensive outpatient due to legal issues and I do see the importance of longer stays (I know not feasible for most who work). I'm currently in recovery bridge housing (sober housing) and enjoying my outpatient program but I really enjoyed my time at Gratitude Lodge. If I would've still had insurance, I would've picked this over the Medi Cal facilities.
