My husband and I having been wanting to go to Haven since they first opened in early October. Unfortunately, we booked for a different resort before hearing about the official opening date so we couldn't go! Then Haven had a giveaway on Instagram called "Haven for the Holidays". I entered and I won!! I couldn't believe it! So off we went for 5 days in paradise to celebrate NYE 2019 at Haven. We had the most wonderful time! Everything was exactly how we imagined it. The architecture is beautiful and rooms were even better! The power was out when we first arrived but it quickly turned on once we made it our room. We were in room 2308 and had a beautiful view of the round pool and ocean. The sunrises were absolutely stunning!! The room was huge and the furniture was gorgeous! We received a complimentary upgrade to a partial ocean view swim out room (3019) half-way through our stay due to a few issues we ran into and we LOVED that room! The pool was always warm because it was in the sun and it was corner room! The rooms had a steamer instead of an iron which I wasn't expecting but totally loved! And you can connect your phone via blue-tooth to the bathroom and listen to music while you're getting ready or showering. The showers were huge, and had 2 rainfall shower heads and handheld shower-head as well. The water pressure was perfect, and the water was nice and hot just how most of us ladies like it! The restaurants were AMAZING! The food was so good! We ate at Vora Mar every day for breakfast and lunch. Each day they had different options of food. The fresh juices every morning at breakfast were to die for! The watermelon juice was my favorite. I'm thinking about buying a juicer for my house now! Lots of vegetarian choices as well as lots of meat options. There was always an omlette and french toast/pancakes/crepes station at breakfast. Lunch was just as good! We never left hungry! Satsu was also very good. The sushi with the Teppanyaki were delicious! We left stuffed! We ate at Olios twice! The first time was much better than the second! We had to wait a little bit for a table the 2nd time, the service wasn't as good and we never got dessert because the kitchen closes after 11pm. Our favorite restaurant was Agua Bendita! Our waiter Juan Gil was THE BEST! Make sure you ask for him when you eat here! He explained everything on the menu and what was in each course so exquisitely. He always checked on us and made sure we were happy throughout our meal. The food was also very good! We also tried Flavours as well. It was only open on NYE! They had different stations with Italian, Asian, Mexican, and American foods! It was oh so good! It wasn't open any other night while we were here, I believe they are only open when the resort is at a higher capacity. NYE was amazing!! We received a special NYE dessert to our room via room service as we were getting ready. Valeria Valenzuela got us a VIP table with bottle service at the NYE party! We received special wristbands and had an awesome time! We had front row seats to the show and the fireworks! It was an NYE that I'll never forget. The DJ played EDM music the whole time. My recommendation for next year would be to have the DJ play the best of 2018 hits or more club type music. We didn't see that many people dancing and I don't know how to dance to EDM music lol! My bottles were not sealed and I could tell the liquor served was cheap (as I now see within the previous reviews) all of the food here taste like cafeteria food Complete waste 3 thousand USD Some staff are friendly, but most of them are rude. Housekeeping came to clean the room ONCE in FIVE Days. Kept having to call to request clean towels/linens and most of the time they didn't show up or would show up 2 hours later Entertainment is terrible. Would not recommend staying here. We didn't have to lift a finger- they handled everything for us. They were attentive and responsive, anything we needed they took care of. They really went above and beyond for us and we are so very grateful for everything. The initial planning phase was difficult as the resort went through a few staffing changes but now that Marifer and her team are in place I truly believe that is in the past. I think these pictures speak for themselves. We had about 36 guests at this all inclusive, adults only resort. We chose the "Tie the Knot" Package and were thrilled with all of the inclusions. Everything from the food to the music was incredible. We did add quite a few "upgrades" but they were worth every penny. Finally, we stayed in a 1 bedroom Master Suite (Serenity Club) and Manny was our Butler- he was AMAZING- we would have been absolutely lost without him and really missed him when we got home. This place is so beautiful! My fiancé and I had a swim out suite and loved it. If you do get a swim out ask for one that gets the sun all dAy some suites don't, put ours did. The rooms were clean and up to date. They really look like all the picturess online. One interesting thing we realized was that the room cleaning people only come if you presss a green little light to let them know you want it cleaned. The 24 hour room service was amazing! The food is okay I mean for an all inclusive it wasn't bad. Breakfast is the best part! If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with a loved one for some alone time this is the prefect place! read more

This resort fell short of my expectations for $3k USD for 5 night stay and I can't in good conscience recommend you spend your time or money at Haven. The resort was clean and modernized, but the service from the staff was lacking. They seemed uninterested and rude in our interactions, constantly arguing over the smallest requests before folding in the end. This made the overall experience exhausting and unenjoyable. I anticipated that a butler would make my stay stress free, but all that happened is one staff would agree to one thing and another staff would say they were never told by about it pass blame instead of solution. This led to cancelled massages on the beach, missed reservations at the spa, and a half day one night without cold AC. That's right - no AC in Mexico heat!! Housekeeping was decent, but I did have to call for turn down service and never got a change of clean sheets the whole time there. The serenity club is a waste of money! It did nothing other than access to a restaurant that serves almost the same food as the others, waste of additional couple hundred USDs. Scheduling at the spa was almost impossible, despite the website advertising unlimited access to wet areas for serenity club we were limited to 30 min a day and had to pick between saunas or massage pool experience and could not do both in one visit. The beach had tons of seaweed so couldn't go in. Overall, my stay at other resorts has been WAY better experience than this place. read more

My wife and I love to travel. This is our eighth times in Mexico and I highly recommend this resort as one of the best in Cancun. We decided to go with Romance Suite with partial ocean view non-serenity club for a week. The amenities are modern, clean and beautiful. Our room (3312) was gorgeous, and (THE View WOW!!) housekeeping was wonderful, The food quality was very good for an all inclusive, exceeded my expectations. The resort is roughly 20 minutes from the airport. Once you make it past all the speed bumps. Haven is Absolutely beautiful resort with exceptional staff! Property was perfectly manicured and looked brand new ( 4 years old). Wait staff was helpful, polite, and not pushy. The drinks at the bars were strong. From the staff, to the food, to the view and the relaxation. Top notch! Not a party resort, nice and quiet and relaxing. Great place to relax and unwind! No complaints with any part of our trip and Haven did not disappoint. The staff here are who really make you feel special while staying here. The beach was beautiful but the water wasn't clear at the shore and there was still sargasso and not fault of the hotel. The hotel did a great job at keeping it clear in the mornings. Like I said overall everything was perfect and would like to thank everyone for making it memorable. At this price point, I think you're going to have a hard time finding a better resort in Cancun. ROMANCE PACKAGE SCAM. We were charged over $300 for the "Romance Package" which we never received. This was supposed to include a private dinner, menu and champagne. Along with other special gifts in the room. When we arrived to the dinner they had given it to another couple (along with our private waitstaff and champagne). They then refused to refund us and are now fighting out credit card company saying we received our dinner which we have e-mail and text message proof that they acknowledge we did not get. IF YOU GO HERE, DO NOT PAY AHEAD FOR ANYTHING. THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU AND THEN REFUSE TO REFUND YOU. Overall the hotel was nice, but you can't trust thieves. read more

We had the absolute best time! Ernesto, our butler, went above and beyond ... answering our 2am text messages, decorating our room TWICE for my birthday, arranging all of our dinners, our cabs off the resort, making sure our laundry got taken care of, just everything. I can't say enough good things about this guy!! Our other favorite Ernesto, the bartender mostly at Limes but also everywhere else, was also fantastic and makes delicious espresso martinis! Brandon was the absolute best pool bartender. His smile is contagious and his drinks are strong!! The whole dang Olio's crew was our favorite. We went back three times, once at the Chefs Table (SO worth it by the way). And each time we went back they made us feel so special. On the last night they did tableside birthday crepes for me! So awesome! If you go on the Chichén ItZa excursion and you get Freddy, he walks fast, but if you can keep up he has the BEST history lessons. One of our favorite days of the trip, for sure. We went to hydrotherapy twice, and got massages and facials once, and each time the spa crew made us feel so relaxed and were so friendly. Eresmo, Delia, and Lilian were the best. We went on a golf day once with the serenity package and it was super hot, so we decided not to go again even though we had two days free with our stay. But the course is absolutely beautiful and the transport set up to and from was so easy. The shows they have nightly are fantastic. We went to the Mexican fantasy, Mexican night, and the magic show. "Heaven". I think they might have misspelled the name of the resort as this place was as close to "heaven" as one could imagine. From the time you arrive at the resort your vacation has begun. We signed up for the serenity upgrade which included ocean front rooms, private club area, assigned butler, discounted spa services and a private area on the beach front. They even offer you a beverage (beer, wine, water or soft drink during check-in. We enjoyed all the restaurants with the service being right on point with the only exception that being Vistas. You need to give yourself 45-60 minutes to complete breakfast or lunch even if they are not busy. Enjoyed talking to the employees throughout the resort as everyone is so helpful and nice. Vistas is a restaurant over looking one of two giant pools and is assigned only to serenity club guests. Upstairs is a restaurant open for breakfast and lunch and the downstairs is a swim up bar that is available to everyone. Our favorite restaurant was Olios and it's the only restaurant that requires reservations. We really didn't have a bad meal during our 6 night stay and most were good to exceptional. Disappointments- the beach front had tons of seaweed and brownish color water that went out about 100 feet or so from the sandy beach. I believe we just came at a time where the seaweed was a problem. They were cleaning up the beach pretty well towards the end of our six day stay. Hope not as it's a beautiful sandy beach. Black Birds- the resort does not serve food to the pool areas and found out why as there are many black birds that haven taken up home at this beautiful resort. Chef's table experience - we signed up for the 7 course dinner that was an extra $95.00 per person. It included wine pairings. You have to have a minimum of 4 or 6 in your party. We were able to find another couple to join us through the resorts face book group. I would give this experience about a 5 out of 10. It was just ok and nothing to really go home and brag about. The portions were tiny and the taste just ok in my opinion. It's something that I could not recommend to others so would suggest you save your money. Positives and overall impression- great service, nice and hard working people working at the resort to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as positive. Beautiful scenery and landscaped grounds. Also the resort is located out of the busy hotel zone so if your looking for a little quieter resort this might be the one for you. Our building which was building number 1 was the furthest walk from the main lobby area (about a 4-5 min walk) and was super quiet during our stay. We changed rooms to one of their ocean front swim out and it was just so beautiful. They even offer drink service while your in our own private pool area overlooking the ocean. Lastly, my wife and I travel quite a bit and for the most part we never go back to the same place. But my personal measuring stick on whether a place measures up to my own personal standards is whether or not I would come back. Great service and a cleanliness are my two top requirements and they hit both out of the park. I would be a return guest. read more

The rooms are clean and spacious. The daily cleaning service never missed a beat to ensure we had everything needed. The bathroom not only has a large shower but a bench / vanity section which was very much appreciated and great place to apply makeup. They have a steamer but I requested an iron and board and it was brought right away. Like many resorts next to the ocean, the room had a bit of a musty smell. It is not due to lack of cleanliness, the place is new and spotless. I wish I would have brought my candles, incense and/or scented spray as I usually do when I go to any hotel! All / most hotels seem to always have either a musty odor and carpeted hotels seem to be the worse - thankfully these rooms of course do not have carpet. I also appreciated the tub out on the balcony, unlike the Hard Rock where they placed the hot tub ridiculously close to the bed! A well stocked mini fridge at no extra cost was also very much appreciated, as was the 24 hour room service option when we came back from Xcaret at 11pm and were hungry after a very active, exhilarating and fantastic day! The pools are enormous and clean. The round pool plays spa like music which is good in the morning but by afternoon it would be great if they picked up the tempo! The other pool has a decent DJ that plays deep house/club music that I happen to like but many might not be familiar with the genre. Plenty of space and cabanas to spread out and never feel like you are on top of people. On the contrary this felt like a very sleepy, relaxed and quiet resort. If you are looking for the loud party crowd, I definitely found that at the Hard Rock in October, but the Haven this month of August was very quiet and attracts a more mature crowd. I'm disappointed I can't remember particular names as so many of them really deserved shining reviews but in reality every staff member went above and beyond at all times. The staff working the pools ready to get towels and drinks for you, each and everyone of them were pleasant and attentive. The hostesses, servers and chefs at all the restaurants were absolutely spectacular. I can't say which was my favorite restaurant as all including breakfast, lunch and dinner service were all always fantastic! One of my favorite lunches I had twice were the crab legs in garlic and olive oil. If you don't see it (which I didn't) just ask the waiter. It was a waiter at a buffet that happened to ask if I wanted to try crab legs made to order. I said absolutely and glad I did! I went back the next day for more! Everything is made with the freshest ingredients and taste heavenly! Limes sports bar unfortunately was also quiet and mellow for a sports bar but the drinks were fantastic, infused with fresh herbs, spices and fruits. However, I will say that there is something up with all these inclusive resorts and their liquor. They absolutely must be watering down their drinks significantly because although every cocktail made during dinner, the bars or the dance club - not one drink the entire week I was there made me tipsy. There is no possible way, even with my high tolerance, that I can have 2-3 cocktails and 3-4 shots in one evening and not even feel the slightest buzz! I had 3 glasses of wine during dinner and did not feel a thing either - surely it was tasty wine but as far as I'm concerned it was grape juice. The shows and daily programs need a HUGE improvement. The cabaret show I was so looking forward to based on the reviews was not what I imagined. It was mostly one decent singer performing all the routines. Very boring! I saw several people falling asleep! It is a bit cheesy and monotonous. The circus show definitely has to go! I was embarrassed for the performers who tried their very best but the audience barely clapped! The Vegas show was just ok, still not very memorable. I highly suggest they have at least one show with more folkloric dance and most importantly perhaps interactive games at the club like it use to be 10-20 years ago in Cancun where couples played dancing games, drinking games etc. The spa is ridiculously over-priced! We rather spend that money on excursions. The last of very few down sides of this hotel is the seaweed issue on the beach. The smell was horrible and it is very disappointing to fly all the way to Cancun and not be able to enjoy direct beach access from the hotel. The only reason I will still give this resort 4-4.5 stars despite how quiet and sleepy it is and despite that the beach was a huge disappointment, that we were aware of prior to even booking, is the fantastic architecture, space, pools, service and food! One of the most Exquisite All Inclusive Hotels in Puerto Morelos!!! The ambience is so chic and cool! All the staff are super attentive and really pleasant. If you're looking for relaxing vacay this is the place to be. There's 5 different restaurants to choose from and 24hr room service. The food is delightful. My wife and I just finished our honeymoon here and we absolutely loved it! Full disclosure: we're not experienced with luxury resorts and this was the first experience we have had at such a place. We purchased the romance package which included a serenity club upgrade. Our overall experience was great! However there were a few things that prevent me from giving a full 5 stars. I would give it a 4.5/5. Our room was incredible! It felt brand new and very modern. We had a swim out pool as well as a beach view and it was just amazing. I am going to get slightly nit-picky however considering how high end this resort is. Some things in the room were just slightly off. The sliding double doors in the bathroom and water closet were VERY finicky and would roll back open almost every time you would shut them. You would really have to force those things closed and hold them there for a few seconds and hope they stayed. And when the main bathroom doors were all the way closed they were not properly aligned and an uneven gap would run up the entire length of the doors over an inch wide at its worst. Hopefully you're comfortable with the person you're sharing the room with cause you sure will be after a stay in the room we had. The shower door wouldn't close all the way and even when pulled closed with force it would pop back open about an inch and allow water out onto the floor of the bathroom which was a hazard because the floors were incredibly slippery when wet. Make sure you place a towel down directly outside to dry your feet before walking through the bathroom. I was a bit shocked to find cobwebs in the shower above the soap shelf and they stayed there the entire 6 days we were there. Additionally, during showers the water would suddenly become scolding hot for a few seconds then go freezing cold before returning to normal like someone had flushed the toilet. These thing's definitely took away a bit of the luxury feeling overall. The food and drinks were great. We enjoyed the 24 hour room service and they had a pretty good selection of food and snacks to pick from. The restaurants were all good but some were a little better than others. Make sure you check the dress code of the restaurant you're planning to go to because they differ from place to place and you'll get turned around at the door if you don't comply. The Asian fusion restaurant was the favorite of my wife and I. We weren't too impressed with the Mediterranean restaurant which is reservation only and supposed to be one of the best at the resort. I have read other reviews that share this sentiment. The staff was unbelievably friendly throughout our whole visit. Most spoke English very well and communication was never an issue. Everyone from the servers to the butlers were always looking to serve you and make your stay as good as possible. Even the housekeeping staff was friendly and always greeted you. The beach connected to the resort was very nice for relaxing and sunbathing in the cabanas. The water itself was very warm and enjoyable to splash your feet around in. I will say I wish something could be done about the "salesmen" who wander the beach trying to sell you things like cheap "Cuban" cigars or other nicknacks. That's not what someone who's sunbathing really wants to deal with especially at their resort. There was one situation that has taken away an extra star from this review. Because of some very poor communication from the front desk, we missed our prepaid transport to the airport. We were told they had already left when in fact they waited for us for over 20 minutes. Because of this miscommunication we not only lost the money paid for our original transport, we ended up having to pay $40USD for a 14 minute ride in a taxi to the airport. Very frustrating and I do almost feel scammed, like they were trying to give more business to their taxi drivers. Overall our stay was amazing. It is a beautiful resort that is modern and brand new. It is also only a short 15 minute drive from Cancun International Airport with no traffic which is very nice. It is apparent that things are very new and that the contractor they hired was rushed to finish some things. Hopefully those things are fixed as the resort settles in. I would still recommend this place to stay for anyone looking for a wonderful vacation. Just make sure you're 100% confirmed with your transportation what time they're going to be there and how long they're willing to wait for you. read more

The hotel is ok, to be honest I was expecting a little bit more, the drinks at the Pool are awful, they taste cheap, I ordered a non-alcoholic pińa colada and it was terrible, my husband was trying different alcoholic beverages, and he said that they were just ok, the food is ok as well, not the best, buffets are average, and the quality of the food is average as well, Olios restaurant is very good, the pools are great, the spa is fantastic (my favorite part), the suites have beautiful views, but they don't have a ventilation system in the WC so when someone poops the whole suite smells very bad, customer service is good, everyone is very polite. In general, I rate the hotel with a 7 or 8, on my next visit to Cancun, I would definitely not stay here and I will upgrade to a nicer hotel. read more

This place is awesome for couples looking to get away and relax. The food was great, room was fantastic, and drinks were awesome. I recommend the Paloma with Don Julio and get tajin on the rim. They also had a good burlesque show, magic show, Vegas night, and karaoke night. We had the BEST BUTLER ANGEL!! Everything we needed all we had to do was use WhatsApp and he would get it for us. Such an amazing human and so friendly. I highly recommend you ask for him when you go!!! ANGIE and MARIA by the pool we're amazing so friendly and always quick to get you your next drink. They also served us drinks at our Junior suite ocean front serenity swim out pool so we didn't even need to leave our room to get drinks. RICARDO, ANDRES, JOHNNY, SANTOS, and SEBASTIAN we're all awesome at the restaurants and bars we never had to wait long for food or drinks. Make sure you take care of the people helping you at the resort and they will be sure to take care of you. My wife and I did the hydro therapy and couples massage which was so relqxing. Also take that little sail boat out in the ocean and jump in the water felt great. My wife and I loved the Agua Bendita restaurant the best and also the buffet was great with a wide selection. Our first time staying at a resort. We are a group of 5 single ladies who wanted to have an adventurous time in Cancun and was not expecting the resort to be full of happily engaged and married couples. Staff thought it was hilarious that we were here as a group of friends and gave us special attention. All the waiters were awesome, got to know our name, treated us like we were princesses. Jesus at the Asian restaurant brought us every single roll and appetizer because we could not decide what we wanted. Making a reservation at Olios was worth it, the duck was the best food I have ever eaten. The drinks were yummy but I only got tipsy one night even though I was sipping all day. At the buffet Abelardo took care of us well, pulled out our chair, placed napkin on our lab. Ángel at the swim up bar. Freddy at the steak place. Leonardo and Jesus at Olios. Paco and Vanessa were fun hosts at Karaoke, the burlesque show and magic show. read more

We enjoy travel to QROO frequently. This was our first trip in May and our first to this new resort. Our one bedroom accommodation was nice though the location was noisy because of its location near the main pool where people were sometimes over-served and some of the entertainment occurred in the evenings. The food was good but the breakfast and lunch buffets were under stocked as the census reduced through the week and it was uncomfortable to ask for items that were displayed but behind glass. The serenity club pool is by far the best pool I have ever enjoyed. Sadly, our Butler was not the best and that reflected badly in the resort's level of service. The final straw was our last day at the resort. No late check out available as a convention was coming in. Unfortunately the only flight out was at 3:50 pm so we had hours of waiting. As the new travelers arrived the more services the resort closed. The bell staff were overwhelmed with bags coming in that they had a difficult with departing guests bags. The staff in general were so distracted with the new guests they couldn't be bothered. Not again read more

This Resort is a must! All the rooms have a view of either ocean or pool and The architecture was amazing. My husband and I both received massages at spa, and needless to say they definitely did their job on my lower back, which has been in pain these last couple of months. All the staff was AMAZING! From housekeeping to the receptionist. Our waiter Angel at Olios was very tentative and made sure to explain everything on the menus we ordered. He made us feel very welcomed and the food had me drooling by just the smell. I have to suggest the Wagyu steak if you go during dinner time. We also ate at Satsu and had the hibachi grill and my husband won't shut up about the seafood and steak, And the butter, garlic, and ginger spread they used. Darvy was our chef for that night and put on an amazing show for us! And the Steakhouse was delicious as well. We had the pleasure of having another great server, unfortunately I can't confidently remember his name, I believe it was Leigh. But he made sure to explain the menu and kept up with refills and remained to give us our food in a timely manner, despite being busy will a full house. Now onto the alcohol. I believe our best drinks were at Limes, the Havens Lounge, and any of the restaurants. Unfortunately, I can't remember the bartenders name at Limes, but he provided AMAZING drinks to my husband and I, and didn't water down the alcohol at all. The tequila shots my husband ordered were doing it's job seeing that he is 6'5 and 230lbs he was finally getting buzz he was looking for when we came to this bar instead of getting drinks solely by the pool. At the Havens Lounge we had Aury provide service to us. She was very funny and attentive when one of our glasses were empty. Not once did we have to look for her, she provided our refills almost immediately unless we asked for something different. AMAZING SERVICE from everyone! This place is a must! My husband and I will definitely come here again! Also, even through the resort is all inclusive I will suggest tipping the service members. Beyond great. Stayed at the resort for Christmas vacation and the quality of service and food was amazing. The service and personnel were very respectful and really cared about the customers needs. My husband and I stayed at this resort the last week of July to celebrate his birthday. POSITIVE: The resort is beautiful and clean. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. The food is good and the staff (waiters, hostess, bartenders) are all very kind and welcoming. NEGATIVE: If you are looking for a nice beach then don't go there. The beach is full of seaweed and the beach is not blue. Entertainment is poor. There are little or no activities to do here during the day or night. There is a nightclub (open Wednesday-Saturday) with different performances every night and once that is done the DJ plays music so one can dance. You can sit by the pool and do absolutely nothing. There is no entertainment there. But there is a DJ that plays really crappy music. The couple next to my husband and I played some good musics from their portable speaker and management came over and asked them to shut it off. A few of us around them were pretty upset when that happened because we enjoyed their music and were dancing to it. Finally, the most upsetting part of our stay was when my husband's $300 sunglasses were stolen from the porch table of our garden view swim out pool. We just finished having lunch and walked in the room for a few minutes and someone just hopped over the garden to take the shades. I couldn't believe it and the worst part about it was that management did nothing. Yes, security checked the cameras but the cameras did not face directly to our porch so nothing could be done. Security needs to step up on their A-game and walk the grounds to keep us (guests) safe. Management didn't even offer us a change of room for our safety or a small compensation like giving us a serenity club bracelet (at no cost to them) that provides us with some extra amenities that the hotel has and only serenity guests have the privilege of enjoying (top self alcohol, Sanpellegrino water, and an extra entertainment room by the bar). If you are looking for a resort that is quiet with nothing to do, then this is the one for you. If you are looking for entertainment and fun activities to do, then I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

First off the resort is beautiful! I loved the design & décor. I was a bit nervous about the smell from the seaweed that I had read in other recent reviews but what an exaggeration they were. I smelled the seaweed when I initially arrived at the resort but didn't notice it much after. Unfortunately the abundance of seaweed is a natural occurrence that the resort cannot control. I do commend their efforts to combat the problem by having it constantly removed through the day. The ocean water in front of the resort was not appealing to the eye but did not negatively impact my time at the property. We used the hotel recommended transportation Amstar & were pleasantly surprised at the ease of locating our shuttle at the airport the timeliness in which we were delivered to the property & the friendliness of all the staff that we interacted with from the company including our driver. The return shuttle to the airport was a little late but equally as friendly & informative. For the most part we were treated like royalty. Our rooms were stunning & very thoughtfully designed. Mosquitos were not an issue at the property. The resort was impeccably clean throughout our entire stay. I was very impressed at the detail that has gone into the design of the guest rooms. I never heard a peep from any of the rooms nearby or the pool below me while I was in my room. We thoroughly enjoyed the round pool & the service Marilu provided was impeccable! She was so pleasant & personable & we were never without service for more than 10 minutes. Every cocktail I ordered was delicious & made with fresh juices. Be sure to try the watermelon & kiwi margaritas the kiwi banana passion fruit mango & guava daiquiris the mango water at the snack spot by the round pool & avoid the wine! The wine selection is limited & does not taste well. The coffee shop staff were so pleasant every morning & made the best lattes & milkshakes. Our service at the restaurants was hit & miss. The food & service Santiago provided at the Mexican steakhouse was incredible. My favorite was the stuffed plantain. My steak was cooked as I requested & the mole sauce was the perfect addition. Service at the Asian restaurant was disappointing. It took a long time to place our order & a long time to get any of our food. The appetizers were brought out with the main courses. The shrimp fried rice was delicious but the rest of the food wasn't much to write home about. One of the restaurants is described as a seafood type restaurant but is actually an Italian restaurant with a very limited menu. Service there was severely lacking. The hostess was clueless & very unsure of herself. We were seated immediately but after waiting almost an hour at our table we still had not received a breadbasket & the waiter never came to take our order despite my direct request to do so after waiting 30 minutes already. We ended up walking out of the Italian restaurant without receiving a breadbasket after more than an hour of waiting for our waiter to come take our order. We indulged at the spa which we thought was a bit overpriced. The Deluxe Hydrotherapy Experience was worth every penny & was unlike anything I have ever done. I highly recommend this service! I also did the Energize MySenses Treatment & Lilianna was wonderful! I felt so relaxed when I left & my skin was incredibly smooth. Knowing what the two services included now I wished I had scheduled them on separate days instead of back-to-back. Carlos the concierge was most helpful calling to check on me & see how my stay was going. He was able to secure my reservations to Olios restaurant where we were treated like royalty by Javier & his staff. The food was divine & the presentation was a beautiful performance. My friends & I are most grateful to Haven Spa Resort for their generous hospitality & their attention detail. We had a magnificent stay & intend to return for a longer period in the near future. The resort was beautiful ! The staff where super nice and always making sure we had everything we needed. However the food was AWFUL especially the room service food. Some of the drinks where alright and others tasted like cheap alcohol. Also make sure you lock all your valuables up in a safe because I had my ring go missing as well as money go missing and I had to make a report and they tell you it's a "72 hour investigation" and don't keep you updated. The cleanliness of the hotel was super clean. But I am only going to give this resort a 2 star with there being thefts in the resort and the food is just garbage . Would recommend looking for another resort with better quality food if you don't want to have an upset stomach the whole time read more

My husband I went with some friends and had an amazing stay. The staff especially Manny, Santos, MJ and Moises made our stay so much better than expected. Our group had oceanfront swimout rooms, the view was amazing we could leave our door open at night listening to the ocean. Since we booked a room that is part of the Serenity experience our room had a butler service. Manny was went over the top for anything we asked him for he took care of it for us. Our bartender Santos and Moises checked on us to make sure we were taken care of. Loved MJ's positive energy everyday. Many options of restaurants and Flavour's which is a buffet was a great option to grab breakfast or lunch at. Check in and check out was super easy didnt have to deal with our bags ourselves. From our first to our last day it was an amazing stay, the staff makes you feel welcome and they remember your name after meeting only once. Will definitely be visiting the Haven Resort again. read more

Just be prepared to clean your own room because housekeeping rarely comes. When they do, you are lucky to get two tiles and no restocking of anything the room started with. Breakfast is very good, but there is no urgency in anything they do-- speaking in terms of getting just a water. I expected better from this resort as it is stunning and the bartenders are great but the restaurant service leaves much to be desired and the housekeeping is nonexistent. read more

Enjoyed our vacation, as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary we throughly loved our room (serenity swim out ocean front). That it self makes this resort a 5star in my opinion, not the service and not the food. I am somewhat a foodie but I would rate the food a 3star. While our butler was nice when we first met he disappeared and the things we asked for never came, he did however deliver my vodka but advise me that room set would bring the mixers I requested as well has change hubby's beer (this never happened). Room service was nothing to brag about and too I give it maybe 2.5 (food delivered cold and tasteless) this resort it's it's stunning however I think they have a lot of work to do customer service wise and food. Contrary to what some may stereotype we tip very well and still did even with mediocre service. And at times I felt they were expecting it, each time the room was cleaned we had to call after and advised them we are missing face towels and our beach towels ( I mean we are in a swim up?? So towels are a must). One caution I do want to point out is how slippery the floor was marble everywhere please be careful getting out of the shower in the shower and coming in from your swim up. 2nd caution is the strange tinnie tiny bug problem (like ants or crawling gnats) everywhere. I will come back to Cancun but would love to venture out to explore other resorts. read more
